Nile Ranger unfortunately seems to be in trouble.
Nile Ranger – drunk driving charge
The BBC is reporting that Newcastle United striker Nile Ranger has been charged with drinking and driving, Northumbria police have confirmed.
The actual drink driving offense occurred on 11th September in the Newcastle city center, in the wee hours of the morning.
At the time, Nile was granted bail, but that was pending the outcome of a blood test, and he has today been charged with drunk driving, and the next step is that he has to appear before Newcastle magistrates on 10th November, which is three weeks today.
Alan Pardew has taken Nile Ranger out of the Newcastle first team squad, until such time as he is fully and completely concentrating on his football, and his off field behavior improves.
Nile did play for the Newcastle Reserves team on Tuesday night, in their 3-2 win over Liverpool at Darsely Park, and he scored two goals.
Nile can still become a very good player, if he can keep his head down, train hard, and keep out of trouble in his personal life.
