Newcastle Fans Can Help Us Keep Our Best Players

Alan Pardew is very clear that the Newcastle fans can play a very important role for the Newcastle club.

Alan Pardew – Newcastle fans important to the club

The support of the Newcastle fans this season, has been fantastic, and Alan Pardew even thinks the support of their fans can help the club keep their top players on Tyneside.

Player like Colo, who is in negotiations with the Newcastle Board at the moment, discussing a contract extension, seems to want to stay on Tyneside.

And we know the Newcastle captain has a wonderful relationship with the Geordie fans.

In the open training session yesterday, that Newcastle staged at St. James’ Park during the half term break for the schools,  the Newcastle manager Alan Pardew was shocked that 7,000 fans turned up fo the training.

This is what Alan said today:

“It’s a very important for us to make sure our players bond with the fans and the club.”  “It can help us keep them.”

“It was amazing. It goes to show what I said on the pitch – we’ve got the best fans in the world.”

“We appreciate that. They were brilliant the other night as well.” “It was nice to say thank you in a small way to the kids on half-term, and anybody else who could make it.

“I think the fans are a very important part of the Newcastle United club and our players will never play for another club where they get that response on an open day.”

“We had a short session. They put real effort in on Wednesday night.”  “I think it was nice for the fans to see their heroes up close.”

“And it was us doing what we do every day, which is something they don’t see normally.”

It was a terrific day for both the fans and the players yesterday, and we have to hope Newcastle will open the doors at St. James’ Park and have an open training day on every half term school holiday from now on.

It’s a win win for both fans and players alike.

Haha. Started watching the Chelsea v Arsenal game at 3-2 for Arsenal. What a strike by Mata for 3-3, then a double by Van Persie. Chelsea got greedy there. Funny after the game ended when they were watching the league table and explaining how this result affected it. The newscaster mentioned every team from 1 till 6 or 7th place in some way, except… that’s right, Newcastle. 🙂 It’s ok though. Just a funny detail.

How much would Leighton Beines cost?
For the first time ever, have i considered us signing him. Unlucky with the free kick, but it reminded me of Laurent Robert….

Same points as Chelsea with a game in band…buzzin.

Cant wait until Monday, alhough the never turn up for evening games (QPR, all carling cup games….).

If we pack the midfield, maybe slip Guthrie in alongside Cheick and Yohan, I think we could easily get something out of the game, as we cant be outnumbered against a team who press like Stoke.

To hell with Sky Sports. Its a bloody joke. I recently got the app for Blackberry and its pisses me off how it constantly promotes “Editors picks” which are ALWAYS United, City, Liverpool and Chelsea games.

We may not have been performing on a par with those in recent times but we have one of the biggest followings in the EPL and we deserve a bit more credit for that. The political/business side of football is messed up.

Its a circular thing. They give all attention to the big teams with big followings only for their following to grow exponentially while creating obscurity for the smaller teams.

We are 4th in the league and getting bugger all air time. The Bin Dippers would probably still get the amount they do even if they were in 16th place

And noone can say we havent been tested after 10 games, i mean we’ve played more than half the premier league, and to be 4th possbily third shows great consistancy and abit of class.

The Colo to Liverpool story is almost certainly something cooked by an agent, so Colo’s wages stay at £80k. That’s how it works, I’d be very surprised if Colo went to Liverpool.

most likely arsenal imo….on the subject well done to arsenal today, thought santos looked really good second half, he’s gotten so much stick since joining, but he was impressive, well done wenger…aslong as you keep your hands off our 4th place, i’d much rather arsenal, than chelsea/manu
