Alan Pardew Not Sure Why Newcastle Defense So Good

One area of the team that has improved significantly this season is the Newcastle defense.

Alan Pardew – we have good defense – for whatever reason

And it seems that the players have improved since we have no new players ion the side then have been around for the last couple of seasons.

The makeshift left back Ryan Taylor has improved significantly and is on his way to making the left back position his own, although Davide Santon is awaiting in the wings for his chance.

And on the other side Danny Simpson continues to improve and we don’t think we’ve seen the best of Danny boy yet.

Steven Taylor has come back into the aside after more than 18 months of injury woes, and is not plating his best football at the club.

New captain Coloccini also seems to be in tremendous form and is now proving his doubters wrong by showing he is one of the best central defenders in the league.

And Tim Krul has made a great start since becoming the undisputed number one on Tyneside, and he looks to become a tremendous future goalkeeper for the club.

Alan Pardew recently talked about the Newcastle defending:

“There have been a lot of goals in the Premier League,”

“There are some fantastic players and sometimes, as much as you can defend and have all your disciplines in place, someone can produce a bit of quality to unlock it.

“Fortunately for us, for whatever reason, that hasn’t happened too often, and long may that continue.”

Newcastle have the best defensive record in all of the football league,  and have conceded just eight goals in their 11 match unbeaten start this season in the Premier League.

Let’s hope we can maintain that record when we finish the next three games at Manchester United and Manchester  City, followed by a home game against Chelsea.

man utd signed a 40million training kit deal with dhl this is why we need to look at all revenue incomes, thats ridiculous i think r deals with puma n northen rock only come to 10mill for both were so far behind, this season we should b looking at 20/30mill kit sponsor more ie puma/nike plus 100mill joint stadium/shirt sponsor

Why would we be able to attract that kind of money?

Man Utd are world wide viewing, huge fan base, top 3 clubs in the world, huge stadium, world class players and always in CL (normally to the latter stages)

I find it odd that everyone is full of praise for Ryan Taylor but more reserved when it comes to giving Simpson credit . Ryan Taylor’s COMPETENCE at left back has been a revelation but Danny Simpson has been by far the better defender. Also Ryan has benefitted significantly from Jonas’ improved workrate whereas. I think Simpson deserves a lot more credit for the part he has played in achieving our excellent defensive record

The Toon’s defence is pretty damn good! I noticed Jonas was pretty much playing as our Left back against when Everton, He was pushing there winger wide and Raylor was dropping more central whenever Everton attacked down our left. Imagine our defencive record if we had a ‘jonas style’ back tracking Right Winger!

    stuart no9 @ # 1

Has he ever taken credit for anything at the club?????????

So I think your comment @ # 6 indicates you are the idiot.

    As for the “cheesy” comments @ # 9and 10,

Calling fossil fuel revenue clean that has to be almost as stupid as comments 1 and 6. To raise money from intellectual properties is smart, you sell for a time and at the end of that time you still have what you sold in the first place so you can sell it again.

God I think you two must struggle to walk and talk at the same time without freezing or crashing.

Krul is the best keeper in the league this season. He has the best central defence pairing in front of him that we’ve seen in years. Not only that the whole team look desperate to win the ball back, like their lives depended on it. We are simply the best defenders in the league as a team.
Out of the 8 conceded, 3 were pens. So we should be even better, if we can stop these errors!
