Newcastle are attempting to ship Nile Ranger out on loan before next week’s loan deadline rolls around.
Nile Ranger – Championship clubs interested
It seems that several Championship clubs are interested in the 20 year-old England U19 International, and they could offer to give him first team football.
The powers that be at Newcastle think it’s important that the 20 year-old gets away from the Newcastle area for the rest of the season.
The Newcastle Journal is reporting that Watford and Bristol City have both made enquiries over the last several days, and Blackpool may become interested again.
Blackpool failed to sign Ranger last summer on a permanent deal, after a reported £1M deal has been agreed between the clubs.
Nile’s wages were the stumbling block at that time, but the Seasiders may be back in, since he is being made available by Newcastle, if only on loan.
A source close to Ranger had this to say today:
“There is a good chance of Nile going out on loan before the deadline but it just depends on whether they are willing to take a chance on him now. The next day or so will be important.”
Birmingham City and Chris Hughton had been interested in taking the player, but it seems their interest has now come to an end.
Nile played 58 times with 3 goals for Newcastle, but with three arrests all happening over the last few months in the Newcastle City Center, he has found himself in deep trouble at the Newcastle club.
We expect Nile to be shipped out on loan, but then the bigger question is what happens to Nile Ranger in the summer?
We’d be surprised if he is given another chance at Newcastle.
What do you think?

And I think that the Northumbria Police would agree with that 😉

Comment #7Shame really – a good talent that’s being thrown away by a lack of dedication and professionalism.
How many would have loved to have had his ability and opportunity?
Let’s hope he doesn’t live to regret it some day.

Comment #9Ranger, Smith, Perch, Lovenkrands and Harper must all be moved on for the club to progress the squad further.
A couple of strikers, a midfielder and a couple of defenders will complete the squad nicely!

Krul.
Simpson,STaylor,Collocini(c),RTaylor.
SAMeobi,Guthrie,Cabaye,Guttierez.
Gosling.
Ameobi.
Subs- Elliot, Tavernier, Santon, Tiote, Ben Arfa, Ba, Best.
Gives us a good solid well balanced team wii a good impact bench against tired legs. Gosling also can give us an extra man in midfield when required to match Citys 5 and win the midfield battle.

Comment #15Mapiebop – have you lost the plot mate. Sammy, shola and gosling starting? Leaving out our main forwards?
Krul
Simp staylor collo raylor
Toebertan tiote Cabaye jonas
Ba best
That’s if all are fit!
If obertan is out then possibly santon
Titioe out then Guthrie straight in
Optimistic 2-2 draw with Ba last goal! Man city will have one eye on champions league on Tuesday so hopefully we can take full advantage even though their second team is equally has good!

Comment #16Real shame. I really thought this lad would come through for us by this time. Has great potential.
Only Balotelli can get away with being that much of a cock. Because he’s a great player

Comment #17@12 and 15 Madness is to go 4 vs 5 in midfield. It’s sensible tactics not to allow ourselves to be over run in midfield against the top scorers in the league!
Tiote and Best are doubtful but should be fit, so don’t risk them from the start. Ameobi is a straight swap for Best not wanting to risk starting him, Ameobi is a confidence player and getting the nod to play wii his youngun will bring the best out of him. Gosling and Ba play as 2nd striker, only Gosling is an all rounder who can drop back to help midfield and match five against Citys five. SAMeobi or Santon on the right, I go wii SAMeobi the natural winger given a chance to challenge for that position in the team and celebrate his new contract.
I’d keep Ba as an impact sub vs City along wii Best and Ben Arfa against tiring legs as we need to win the key midfield battles first and foremost to put our stamp on the game. Tiote can be brought on to help see a game out. I expect injuries in the next three games so anyone not 100% should not start!

Comment #18Have to agree with jonnym magpiebop. No way will Pardew start such an inexperienced team. No sammy to start and probably not Gosling either. Our strongest team would include Jonas and Obertan on the wings if Obertan is fit. I agree we can’t play 4-4-2 against them. I would go 4-5-1 with the 2 wingers as mentioned plus Cabaye, Tiote, and Guthrie in the midfield. I would start Ba up front as he is by far our best scoring threat. The usual 4 at the back unless Simpson or Raylor get overwhelmed, then might as well try Santon but a hard team to throw him into.
