She also said the company would love to talk at the “right time” to Newcastle United about sponsoring the club, while stressing nothing was currently planned.

The lads defended well today i thought. All the goals came from personal mistakes. We created some great oppertunities. Despite the loss, the future is still bright, it’s black and white!
HOWAY THE LADS! U gave them a good game.
    Better than Man Utd…. 😉

all games either came from Raykors mistake or his side, nothing against him but we need a left back that can handle himself. allowing gutierez to do some attacking

santon needs to be in for raylor… everyone seems to put him in , in place of simmo who in fairness held his own today.. so what if raylor is good at free kicks so is cabaye, benny, guthrie n prob a few others… there first 2 goals were jokes

see, i am not kicking a man when he is down, if santon comes in we loose sumthing but we gain on something. like gutierez can attack more. cabaye can take free kicks

dont fix when nothing is broken, but it is broken now

So we lose against the best team in the country, who’ve assembled a squad for over £500m, and all of a sudden we need to buy players?

:/ No shame in losing the toughest fixture of the season. Take comfort from the good things – HBA looked pretty sharp, Guthrie continued with a solid performance, Simpson has a brilliant game, and Sammy continues to look decent.

Unfortunately Raylor was poo, but it was just one game.

Todays game won’t define our season. They are a top team and will probably win the league. We were missing key players as were they. In reflection i can’ remember them having many chances from open play. all 3 of their goals were avoidable which is a bit annoying. However we had our chances and could’ve been ahead.
Cabaye looked a bit off the pace but Sammy and Ben Arfa were both good i thought. Ryan Taylor had one of those days today where anything that could go wrong did. He’ll bounce back and so will we. With tiote back for man u i am actually more confident of getting a result be it draw or win. Proud of the lads today. Well done

Repost as I lost the thread 🙂

A two goal deficit is okay against a side with a goal difference of 31 in 12 games. Both goals due to pressured errors – on another day we’d have taken our chances, kept them to a single goal but if yer playing with the big boys you can’t afford to have these lapses and when we do play at that level consistently we’ll be top four. We’re a work in progress and Pards and the lads deserve massive support for taking us up a level since last season.

City lost £197 million last year – so every game costs them a financial subsidy of over £5 million – that’s £2.5m per goal – now how long can they keep that up for ?

Was at the Southampton vs. Brighton game today so I’ll fill you guys in on Harper if you’re interested. I feel sorry for him in all honesty, you could tell by the way he played that he doesn’t want to be there. He was very slow in taking goal kicks, free kicks etc. despite Brighton being down (final score was 3-0 saints). He still struggles with those low shots fumbling a couple. Whats more, he should have been sent off from bringing a player down in the penalty area but the ref didn’t see it. Finally, a second penalty to Southampton took two attempts despite the first being a legal goal. Harper was off his line and walking around the box when the ref blew his whistle and the Southampton player scored. It was Harpers fault for not paying attention. I know it was just one game but his age is starting to show and h makes too many silly mistakes to play in the EPL so I would hope he doesn’t play for us again even though he has given us his loyal service for his entire career.

Thought we did OK today against the team that is running away with the league (well the one that is built out of millions against the one that has been built out of passion, commitment, team spirit and belief) WE still looked good

    Team to face Man U

    Krul

    Simpson Saylor Colo Santon

    Taylor Cabaye Guthrie/Tiote Jonas

    Ben Arfa

Nae rant but yer spot on. You need good squad players in any team so stop slagging them off guys.
If Simmo and Raylor can play in the best = back four in the Prem then how shite are they ?
Good coaching is working real well with the Toon.

I thought we played well. Sammy and Arfa impressed and City needed two penalties to beat us. In fairness they would have probably found another gear of they needed it – but on chances today, even stevens.

Also – Raylor didn’t have a bad game – just a bad 5 minutes. If anyone was off the boil it was Ba – 3 clear chances and none taken – plus the ball was bouncing off him all day.. for all his faults Shola would have buried that header…

still, I’d like to see more Arfa in for Best alongside Ba.. think that’s the classiest combo we have up front.

Beat by the better team today n the best in the league but it took them two pens n a poor bit of defending by rtaylor who had a nightmare, we’ve gotta start playing santon don’t think I seen jonas attack once today, lots of positives though hba was good as was sammi showing jonas how attacking should b done, Guthrie n cabaye were also good

my apologies for that post. at the end of the day if you think perch is shite for the 1 maybe 2 performances youve seen him display what he can do then say whatever ya want. but… so many said simpson shouldnt wear the shirt. so many are saying obertans crap and the others i mentioned earlier have been getting it over the last year and more i think. we should be cheering them on not knocking them back
