The following policies should be taken into consideration before commenting:
An update on my health situation - we have terminated the PluVicto treatment halfway through, because of the severity of the side effects - diarrhea, vomiting, and acid reflux.
And there was no evidence the treatment was having any positive effect in stopping the prostate cancer from spreading in the bones.
There are no treatments left for me to go on.I will go into home hospice care now and will have a hospice nurse visit me at home regularly to ensure I am as comfortable as possible and we will treat the side effects of the treatments I have had.
It's down the final stretch now, and I have run out of treatments, and nature will now take its course.
I hope Newcastle can get many wins this season from now on, and I am at peace with all of this.
Thanks for all your help through the years - it's very much appreciated
Ed Harrison

Comment #4Pardew is a clown At least we are coming back to reality as a club. We got thrashed today by a division one side. just shows we are only two or three injuries away from being relegation fodder ourselves

Only joking! Not panicking at all – today was an accident waiting to happen and 2 positives to come from it:
1. It’ll lower expectations to a more appropriate level
2. It gives Pards ammo for January
Otherwise Pardew himself said the real test was when things were going against us. We’ve just played 3 away games and one home – agianst Man City who are beating all-comers, Manure and Chelski – and I think we deserved one more point than we got. So HWTL!

Comment #7Indian magpie are you serious? Perch Hardly put a foot wrong Simpson is however dreadful I feel sorry for Krul but he should of kept a hold of the ball. Gosling should of been taken off before he was sent off. Comical really welcome back to plant earth Newcastle united.

Comment #10We were missing our first three choices in central defence, missing our first two choices as defensive midfielder… not many teams could do better in that situation. True we need to reinvest money on new players, but this could have been expected

Proud the lads worked hard today
Norwich exploited the lack of an aerial presence in our defence
Gosling screwed up but will bounce back
Losing patience with Obertan though – can forgive making mistakes and not choosing the right option (he’ll improve) BUT needs to work harder for his teammates!

Comment #13toonbrother, you are a complete fool. Norwich have done well this season and competed with some very good sides. Look at the table, they are a Premiership team. Next week we should have Colo, Tiote and Willo back. That game will see us back to winning ways. The good thing is we have proved that we need to buy in January. The false sense of security has been blown away. Ashley must know that we need 4 players in January.

Comment #15Toonbrother? ‘Pardew is a clown’? Are you caricaturing the worst possible type of football supporter cliche as a high concept joke? I hope so mate for your sake. Pardew has been nothing short of inspirational since he arrived. Today – with 5 key players missing from the spine of his team, he was unable to patch up his defense in the first -against the odds defeat of the season.
It’s only because he’s performed so well with a shoestring toon squad that you would complain about this defeat.

Comment #17Catch yourselves on will you all, we have 3 CBs out injured, yes we may need investment in another CB but we are not a few injuries away from being relegation candidates because we got beaten by a solid side today, one that will be nowhere near relegation this season and anyone who thinks they will clearly haven’t watched much football this season. A “few” injuries, well we are without: Coloccini, S.Taylor, Tiote, Guthrie, Williamson. I would class that more than a few. When these players come back, and we invest in areas we need to strengthen, then we will certainly not be beat by a Norwich side that is a mid table side and play good football

You’re a clown.
Please, someone, do tell me what Perch did so bad today, and i mean give me the spesifics.
He should’ve stayed closer to Holt on two occations, but even then Holt is likely to outpower and outjump him.
I can’t fault Perch and Simmo today, i just can’t. I can’t see why i should. No attacks came directly through the CBs today, not one.

Comment #23It was a poor defensive display aerially, but Simmo and Perch were up against it playing against strong players like Morrison and Holt so I can really have no complaints. Gosling was very poor the entire game and his last 5mins put the cherry on the cake. Abeid must be thinking he has a great chance when Tiote is away to the ACN. Cabaye was marvellous, great to see him expressing himself again, Demba was great, two good chances and two good goals. I was even impressed with Shola’s performance. Obertan will come good, Jonas didn’t get as forward as I would have liked and Santon looked tidy when called upon, needs to press the cross a bit more and stay on his feet but with time he will improve. Investment in CB is a necessity, all 4 goals came as a result of poor aerial defending by the CBs Dannyo.

Comment #24Pardew IS a joke! He watches Gosling everyday in training and couldnt see what fans like me could see. The best thing he’s done this season is stick to the winning team he stumbled onto. As soon as the injuries set in, its been bad decision after bad decision. The man is a better talker than he is a coach A damn fraud if you ask me.

Comment #26Perch and Simmo did as well as could be expected today – actually I though Simmo did great.
If you want to point fingers Gosling got sent off and was at fault for their 2nd and Obertan was useless.
I’d rather focus on the fact that our heads never went down (we scored with 10men and looked the more likely to score again) and Norwich were tactically good and exploited our weakness. (No CB’s who can dominate aerially)
Also it wasn’t a corner for their goal and Perch didn’t foul the guy for their fourth.

Comment #29Here’s what I wrote in November
“Guys I promise you Gosling Cabaye would be a disastrous midfield partnership. We need to avoid at all costs”
(See http://www.nufcblog.com/2011/11/26/obertan-likely-to-get-the-start-at-old-trafford/)
If I could foresee what happened Pardew has no excuse. Same goes for his boneheaded decision to play Lovenkrap and Ameobi last week and today leaving Best and HBA on the bench. Put a red nose on him and you’ll see what i mean.

Comment #33also, their first goal shouldn’t have happened, wasn’t a corner. Then we played how long with 10 men??? And still competed. Give ya selves a shake man. we are doing well and will do so when one or two come back. 2 CB, a LB and a centre forward. Time to spend Mike. If 2 are on loan then who cares? But get them in. Buy a CB and Maiga if it really is all done and dusted, but another 2 defenders is crucial.
