An update on my health situation - we have terminated the PluVicto treatment halfway through, because of the severity of the side effects - diarrhea, vomiting, and acid reflux.
And there was no evidence the treatment was having any positive effect in stopping the prostate cancer from spreading in the bones.
There are no treatments left for me to go on.I will go into home hospice care now and will have a hospice nurse visit me at home regularly to ensure I am as comfortable as possible and we will treat the side effects of the treatments I have had.
It's down the final stretch now, and I have run out of treatments, and nature will now take its course.
I hope Newcastle can get many wins this season from now on, and I am at peace with all of this.
Thanks for all your help through the years - it's very much appreciated

Never. We simply don’t have no one to replace him since Marveaux’s injury.

Comment #4Next Wednesday for me, Santon could have played left midfield for me and done a better job – he was sheeeeayte today, becuase there’s nobody to come in and threaten his position.
Needs a kick up the arse, but let us not forget his right foot in 1st half, towards right right hand corner – his only saving grace today.

And you’re right but as he is, should he not be performing better and setting and exampleto the tounger lads?
Foot off the gas for me today, the draw very much feels like a defeat.

Comment #8People remember when most of us lads were about 8 years old and if we had a secret crush on a girl we would call them names and say hurtful things it was a immature way of flirting. That’s what I think brutoon is doing I think he must fancy the pants of James Perch seriously the guy is obsessed he need to get a grip.

Comment #17Marv is out for four month. So he’ll be back in training in April. He could maybe play a couple of games in May.
So yes, by any probability, he’s out for the season.

Comment #23At some point we have to play Sammy on the LW,maybe during his cameos, because he’s naturally leftfooted and WILL cross the ball. Its frustrating playing 2 big strikers if we can only cross the from one side of the pitch! (simmo n ober)

Comment #24I think the problem with HBA is that pardew doesnt know were best to play him. Right wing seems to me the best place for him only issue with that would be his lack of tracking back.
Seems to me that Ba plays much better with a worker striker who closes down and hassles defenders. That isnt HBA.
Would be an easy swap for obertan, who I would say is our ‘weak link’ in attack. One things for sure his talent is wasted sat on the bench.

Comment #27anyone else notice tiote’s awful body language today? Everytime someone hit a misplaced pass (not he of course, bc he can never do anything wrong) he threw his hands up like a petulant little girl. If he’s going to continue to be like this, the sooner he’s gone the better.
Really difficult to pick out a MOTM today. Ba for me only because he was creating chance after chance out of absolutely nothing. Santon grew into the game, had some wayward passes at the start but he’s only gonna get better and better. performances:
krul – N/A – didn’t have anything to do
simpson – 6 – solid and his crossing is improving
perch – 7 – only because i’ve slagged him off in the past and even though he’s by no means an answer and I’d love to never see him start again, he was solid, against a poor poor swansea side though
colo – 7 – his importance to this team cannot be understated. Captain Colo is immense
santon – 6 – solid going forward in the second half but a bit hesitant. will only get better
obertan – 5- i like him, but too many times he trips over his own feet. he’s got to start producing or pardew will have no choice but to put HBA where he belongs
cabaye – 6 – still skeptical on Cabaye, he runs, he hustles, but there just seems to be something missing in these past few games. still, pretty solid in the middle, but it’s just that, he’s confined to strictly the middle
tiote – 6 – for all his smart tackling, he’s a liability on the ball, his wayward pass got santon a boot in the chest from routeledge. thought his attitude was crap today
best – 6 – solid work, good hold up play, needs to get in the game a bit mroe
ba – 7 – a clincial striker who needs a more clinical midfield behind him. great effort from him, and a gentleman on the field which is nice to see (when he kicked britton’s foot his first thought was to ask him if he’s ok. good to see)
subs
shola – blah
sammy – blah
vuckic – blah

Comment #29I totally agree WWJB….but how can he earn his place when he doesn’t get a sniff against the likes of Norwich or Swansea.I don’t think Pardew trusts him at the moment so a loan might be an option.
Arsenal loaned out the likes of Ramsey after a bad injury which did him the world of good.

Comment #30oh, and jonas – 6 – decent game, he and santon will form a good partnership i’m sure. He’s just gotta get used to playing LM again and not being raylor’s donkey. good effort though, if not his best performance

Comment #32@mattynufc from the last post wat tiote were you watching?? He was immense today probably as close to his form last season he cleaned up everything the whole game went thru him and cabaye his body language was frustration which i can understand as we played with no precision in the final 3rd he was a stand out performer today along with colo ba santon and cabaye

Comment #35We dont have to drop Jonas, just switch him to RW when Sammy comes on. I lost count of how many crossing opportunities he passed up because even HE doesnt trust his ability to cross with his left peg. And Sammy’s got a wicked left footed cross on him.

Comment #36So who or what is the focus of everyone’s ire today? I see Jonas and Sammi are some people’s scapegoat du jour… is that just because Obertan was decent today?
We played very, very well today. Again Ba was outstanding and very unlucky – got even the most difficult chances on target. The substitutions all made sense as the flow of our attack was ebbing out. Lots of decent teams will draw against that lot.. we were a bit like Liverpool today at home.. dominated a ‘lesser’ side but couldn’t get the clincher. Man U or Arsenal would have got the late goal but that’s a show of where we are… not a top 4 side still.
