An update on my health situation - we have terminated the PluVicto treatment halfway through, because of the severity of the side effects - diarrhea, vomiting, and acid reflux.
And there was no evidence the treatment was having any positive effect in stopping the prostate cancer from spreading in the bones.
There are no treatments left for me to go on.I will go into home hospice care now and will have a hospice nurse visit me at home regularly to ensure I am as comfortable as possible and we will treat the side effects of the treatments I have had.
It's down the final stretch now, and I have run out of treatments, and nature will now take its course.
I hope Newcastle can get many wins this season from now on, and I am at peace with all of this.
Thanks for all your help through the years - it's very much appreciated
Ed Harrison

Comment #20Pardew has show me today that he is absolutely clueless when it comes do decision making…
HE TAKES OFF SANTON for R Taylor…makes the defense look even worse we drink up 2 more goals since that moment….goes to show …..The defense was absolute disgrace, how did we get such an unbeaten run we are being walked over, the next few games we will struggle…..
Saving grace but a catch 22 st BA wonder how long he will realize he can sign for anybody almost….
HBA should just remain on the bench if Pardew thinks he can play him like this total lack of respect he is no SAVIOR you cant expect a player to come under those circumstances over and over who knows we would have been a goal to the good if he played who knows…
I am really having doubts over Pardews lack of decision making…and taking Obertan off for Ameobi was just plain STUPID…even though Obi was fighting he made the first goal he had that pace…

Comment #21A pacey striker is exactly what we need but the style of football we play wouldnt work for a Shane Long type. We have continued to play long ball football and it doesnt work.

Comment #25Demba ba easily mon, vuckic has got a hell of a shot on him but apart from that he left tiote exposed, colo was wound up by odemwinge all game the worst i have seen him, tiote and krul play. When best is on the pitch we play hoof ball and when hba came on he going past players like they werent there but everyone else just stood and watched and didnt make a run for him (except ba). He was dropping back for the ball and coming up against a wall of 10 wba players and about 8 newcastle players standing watching. Noone apart from ba felt like running. Poor performace gota play better against bolton who looked like a poor team yesterday.

Comment #30i think wba had us clocked from the off similar to swans and wigan at home . out and out defend and hit on break. we havnt got any extra blueprints on how to break down the 10man wall in front of us and it is now starting to show that without all that luck that we used up in the first 9 games we are a standard side really

Comment #32terrible today.. Ba and Vuckic wer really good Vuckic has such a sweet left foot two thunderous attempts nearly went in and both deserved a goal.. Ba had 2 goals dis-allowed aswel grr.. we really should of got Shane Long him and Ba upfront would of been immense with Ben Arfa playing just off them.. Santon came off injured hope he’s fit for Bolton as Raylor was shocking.. Obertan was poor but av seen him play worse.. Jonas was shocking and looks like he’s carrying too much weight..Perch was probably the best defender as Colo was tortured by Long and Odemwingie.. Kruls kicking was shocking he rushed everything..

Comment #35The club was flying until …….. that fateful decision to rename SJP was announced …… and NOW look at the poor run of results since then. Coincidence? Or has the board tempted fate? Maybe.
Or maybe it’s just the injuries. 🙂

Comment #38@daztoon #5 – It is no fault of Pardew. You cannot blame the man for the inevitable and destructive injuries we have had…
He didn’t put Smith any where near the team which speaks volumes, trusted Santon in keeping the LB berth, introduced Vuckic to an impressive full debut, replaced the disappointing Obertan and replaced Best with the eagerly awaited Ben Arfa. What else do you want from the man?? He did all he could. I just blame the fact we’re short on players again! If we would have had Saylor or a proven quality defender in place we would not have conceded that second goal.
Pardew is not to blame.
We need players in January. Defenders and a Striker is a must if we are not to slide dramatically down the table after such a promising start.
How important is Ba and Saylor to the team ey! Ba has been magnificent and it would be a real shame to see the signing of the season’s goals to result only to a mid table finish.
We’re were really unfortunate tonight as we did not play all that bad tbh. It was a weird but entertaining match to watch but Ba and Vuckic cushioned the blow a bit with the tremendous performance.
Man Of the Match – Ba for me he deserved a hat-trick after that performance.

Comment #40When Shane Long was for sale i said we should get him and nearly got linched on here for saying that.
He is direct and fast but finishing isn`t always top notch but a quality player.
Their deliveries into the box are exactly what we are missing.
