An update on my health situation - we have terminated the PluVicto treatment halfway through, because of the severity of the side effects - diarrhea, vomiting, and acid reflux.
And there was no evidence the treatment was having any positive effect in stopping the prostate cancer from spreading in the bones.
There are no treatments left for me to go on.I will go into home hospice care now and will have a hospice nurse visit me at home regularly to ensure I am as comfortable as possible and we will treat the side effects of the treatments I have had.
It's down the final stretch now, and I have run out of treatments, and nature will now take its course.
I hope Newcastle can get many wins this season from now on, and I am at peace with all of this.
Thanks for all your help through the years - it's very much appreciated

Comment #9Willo had the best game imo. And imo HBA shouldn’t be eligble only playing 40 mins, in all fairness.

Obertan

ALL of these get a regular slagging off – that’s half the team and the manager yet we’ve still managed to get 30 pts and sit 7th in the table – just one point adrift of 6th place.
A lot of you guys know sweet FA about football and have no right to call yourself Toon fans. I’m totally peed off with the lot of the usual slaggers. Brutoon, Catchy etc., please stop posting on this blog unless you have something new to say and not just blind stupid prejudice.
And another thing – Ben Arfa is not the Messiah, he is not anywhere near Messi or any of the other world class players he is compared with – he might be one day, but if he’s showing that kind of form consistently he will be signed by one of the big four for megabucks. He is not even approaching his best except in patches and Pardew’s judgement in the way he plays him is just fine by me. Work rate and pass completion % need to improve before he’s back to his best form. He is not our saviour.
Rant over.
Good things happened today ….
We won
WBA’s form shows they’re not such a bad mid table side when they hold Citeh so their result against us doesn’t look so bad.
Bindippers home form is nothing special – so we can equal or better Blackburn.
Reasons to be cheerful one- two- three.

He transformed our attack. We started to play in little triangles and were more patient. As I’ve already said, he appreciates space, sucks players in, demands the ball and demands of others that they show for him. We had a flow once he came on. Yes he gave it away a couple of times, but he was hardly the biggest culprit, look to Tiote, Obertan and Best, for a masterclass in that department.
At least he’s trying to be inventive, using his noggin. He’s always thinking 2 or 3 steps ahead in the move. Once more of our players are on that wavelength, we’ll be a much better team.
Anyway, saying all that, I voted for Raylor. Looked assured at LB and got forward really well, despite it not being his position. When will we see the actual RB, Danny Simpson, cross a ball like that into the box, rather than just a hopeful floater?

Comment #18Tiote wasn’t good today either imo, better than at WBA, but he seems to be the type to need 2-3 games to be back to his best after an injury.

Right u are, and that is exactly the reason Pardew has given for not playing him. This means that there’s a strong chance for us to be so influenced by HBA that if he has a bad game, the team has a bad game.
This is why that Pardew has stated that it’s so important for us to be strong at the back, before we can start HBA.
But with Willo back, i think that’ll change at Lpool.
Also hoping for Santon to be ready for Lpool, but Raylor is still likely to start imo.

Would be nice of him 🙂
Personally, I’d love for Carroll to purposely net an OG in the final minute, then reveal a NUFC shirt from under his rag.

Sadly couldn’t catch the match so I reckon WILLO deserves it for getting us a clean sheet in his first game for us this season.

Comment #28I think Suarez is a good player, but I don’t see why people gush over him to the extent that they do. He’s been an almost ever-present for them in the league and has what, about 5 goals?

Comment #31Darn! Was hoping he’d not play,he destroyed Colo in this fixture last season. PonderousPardew Suarez is very dangerous, brings alot more than just goals, his movement, twists and even dives can cause havoc. How time flies,Nile Ranger started in this game last season…and we were dressed like RMadrid 🙂

Comment #32JackButler; are you serious? Now you see what Carroll really is worth in the EPL; nothing! And you would bid 10m£ for such an average striker.
If we are able to get Luuk De Jong; I think we migh have a fantatic striker partnership if Demba Ba returns from Africa…

i think youl find i have a go at one of those very regular , obertan, ok today he got an assist, but for me he is still way out of his depth,
although a great assist can you really call it an assist?
today like nearly every game iv watched with him in it, 2 at st james park, and not on tv, he is never really in the game, he never knows where to be, i really think he is scared of that right side touch line, he is never there,
he chooses to try and cut inside at every opertunity,
this is because he knows he carnt cross a ball, i wouldnt mind if when he cut he cut beat his man, but he carnt
im actually a fan of raylor and think he should start in place of obertan,
but its not like im making any of this stuff up about obertan, the facts are there, i think he is a worse version of routledge,
best obertan perch simpson are not good enough for our club, and if you fill your team with this type of quality of player, we will end up sliding down the table,
AP is not a good manager, he sticks with things instead of trying to fix things, its funny how most of us can see where the problems are, we may all have different opinions on who we would pick, but we all know the players we would change, hmmmmm funny enough its all the ones you mentioned ,,
i only want the best for our club,

Comment #39No way waste 10 mils for Andy. I’d better buy a defender of that money (Douglas, Vertogen?, Mapou, Tomkins, Samba, Onoucha, maybe not one but two of them) , and use one third of 35 mils to buy Luuk de Jong or Giroud. Sell Peter, sell Smith, Perch (if we buy two defenders).
