There’s a bit of a shock in the team to play Liverpool tonight, with 19 year-old Haris Vuckic coming into the starting line-up.
Vuckic comes in for Leon Best up front, as the only change to the starting line-up from the the team that beat Bolton on Monday, and we have to think that Haris has been impressive in training.
We’ve talked about him possibly being a second striker, because he’s got an eye for goal and at 6’3″, he will be an imposing figure up front.
Ryan Taylor, as expected, continues at left-back, even though Davide Santon is fit again.
Ben Arfa is again on the bench, but he in-from French International will get some playing time some time in the second half – the team looks strong, and the bench looks good too.
Although Dan Gosling is able to play, he is not included on the bench for the game tonight.
For Liverpool there are three former Newcastle players in the starting line up – Andy Carroll, Jose Enrique and Craig Bellamy.
Howay The Lads!!
Teams:
Liverpool (4-4-2): Pepe Reina; Glen Johnson, Martin Skrtel, Daniel Agger, Jose Enrique; Jordan Henderson, Charlie Adam, Jay Spearing, Stewart Downing; Craig Bellamy, Andy Carroll
Substitutes: Alexander Doni, Martin Kelly, Jamie Carragher, Jonjo Shelvey, Maxi Rodriguez, Steven Gerrard, Dirk Kuyt
Newcastle United (4-4-1-1): Tim Krul; Danny Simpson, Mike Williamson, Fabricio Coloccini (c), Ryan Taylor; Gabriel Obertan, Cheick Tiote, Yohan Cabaye, Jonas Gutierrez; Haris Vuckic; Demba Ba
Substitutes: Rob Elliot, Davide Santon, James Perch, Hatem Ben Arfa, Sammy Ameobi, Shola Ameobi, Leon Best

Comment #113Raylor with a mistake. Giving the ball to Tiote who doesn’t see the 2 players behind him, cannot do anything about it and luckly nothing happens. But this what my coach use to call “Here, choke on this”. Giving the ball for the player when for sure he will lose it.
