Messi can’t score a goal like that, he is too one footed, ad that’s a fact.

He suffered a horrible broken leg, our for almost 1 entire year. He has played so little games, normal humans will tend to shy away from tackles at the start and will take time to get back to normal.

But not for our Geordie Messi. He goes on to score a goal like that.. Thunderbolt finish. Such a powerful left foot he has.

Huge toon fan here and read the blogs and comments daily..
I think its easy to forget where we were just 2 years ago, you have to give Pardew and the lads such huge credit, especially the guys like Jonas who could have found new clubs but stuck by us.
Its nice to see him back in the goals, and lets not forget in 90+ minutes he still has the energy to score a goal of that quality is quite something.
Hope we can get in another top striker at the club to play along Ba, and a versatile defender..

I think its just so so important we keep the likes of Krul, Tiote and Ba.. While we didnt sign Tiote for much, and selling him for 30odd million would be making a big profit, so what? We dont need the money, do we.
Just look at Spurs this season, do you think they would be where they are without Modric, who wanted a move to Chelsea.. Bet hes glad now, and the fact that he stayed only made them more united.
We need to hold onto our gems.. and continue building the squad if we ever want to get back into the top four again…

That has to be one of the best goals of 2012. Excellent hold up play by Best to set up Gutierez for the winner. HBA needs to play every week without fail

Posted on another thread, refference Harry Sloppy chops comments on this release clause:

“Alan was right about Harry being tripped up a bit, because the Spurs manager was not the one to bring up the release clause, it was one of the reporters and Harry simply followed up by saying he had heard that rumor too”.

Harry is a slimeball of the highest order. Don’t for one second think he didn’t discuss this before hand with one of his media rat buddies. Getting the media rat to bowl this question out so ‘Arry could “just answer the question”…

Time and time again he manages to discuss who he would like to buy, naming names in the press. I wish someone would address this style of “interview” and stop it once and for all.

Ben Arfa:3 magic goals! His first goal for Newcastle in the 1–0 victory against Everton, then the magic against Bolton and this last one! Thank you HBA! You make me love NUFC!

Very true. Arfa’s 3 goals all have been of the highest quality. But the goal yesterday is something which won’t be repeated for a long long while. Definately 1 of the best goals ever scored in NUFC history.

Whats the betting he tops it next week against QPR? I know its hard to imagine but maybe he’ll throw in a few nutmegs and chip the keeper LOL
he may not like playing on the wing but the fact is,it allows him to express himself more than behind the striker where he has to receive the ball back to goal with 3 opponents in close attendance.

IMHO thats been all our forwards problem this season, taking the ball with their backs to goal. SBR instructed Shearer to take the ball on the half turn and he doubled his goal tally. Taking the ball on the half turn requires the striker to be facing the side where a throw in is taken, this allows the player a one step movement to attack the opponents goal, just for the uninitiated.

Would be really nice if M.A or A.P would come out and say that our team are getting to the stage we want, and no players are for sale. I know its not going to happen, but if it did, and there was an outragous offer for a player we would stand to get more for him like the Carrol situation. Having said that I think Ba, Hatem, Chieck, Cabaye, Colo, Tim and Jonnas are the backbone of the team and are therefore priceless.

Maradonna may have had “Gods hand” when scoring his goal, but HBA has two of “Gods feet” on him.
What a goal, that has to be in as one of the goals of the year, worldwide. Insane goal, just mindblowing.
I need to go get the dictonary to find more superlatives, that goal was every one of them.
And Jonas goal was very clever too, clever passing with him and Best, very nicely taken with a small chip.

The greatest thing about HBAs goal, is that it looked so easy and natural to him! Lee Ryder said he spoke to him after the match and he was all smiles, but wasn’t surprised that he’d scored such a wonder goal. 🙂

on any other day we would be talking about how well jonas took his goal, which was a great goal in its own right,

    but

hba, just made impossible for pardew to drop him, he lasted 90 mins, created havoc, scored a great goal, the best pardew had ever seen,
