Newcastle United were the second club out of the hat this afternoon, and we are drawn against Wrexham or Brighton away in the 4th round of the FA Cup .
Sunderland are drawn at home to Middlesbrough, and the three northeast teams were in the first four drawn out of the hat.
It may be a tricky draw when you think what happened to us at Stevenage last year, but the draw could have been much tougher.
Wrexham held Brighton to a 1-1 draw at the Amex Stadium yesterday and are top of the Blue Square Bet Premier League of the Football Conference.
Brighton are in the Championship and are in 13th place with 35 points from their 25 games and are 9 points above the drop zone.
Liverpool drew Manchester United at home, so that’s good because at least one of the teams above Newcastle in the Premier League will be knocked out before the 5th round.
Of course that will mean nothing if we cannot get through the 4th round.
Other Premier League teams drawn together were West Brom vs Norwich, Everton vs Fulham and if Arsenal beat Leeds tomorrow night they are at home to Aston Villa.
FA Cup fourth-round draw in full:
Brighton or Wrexham v Newcastle

Dagenham & Redbridge v Southampton

The ties are to be played on the weekend of 28-29 January so we will still be without Cheick Tiote and Demba Ba.
