Demba Ba has said on his Twitter account today that he has no link at all with Armand Doorn, who claimed that he is one of Demba Ba’s management team.
Demba Ba – Newcastle’s new top striker in the number 19 shirt
We had reported earlier today that Doorn had made comments to the effect that Manchester United, among other clubs that included PSG, had expressed an interest in the Newcastle striker.
This is what the Senegal striker put on his Twitter account today about three hours ago:
“Really, I don’t know how desperate this “Armand Doorn” can be to talk like he’s my agent!!”
“He’s nothing for me. Stop lying and show respect.”
It may be of some interest to Newcastle fans that Demba had also previously posted this tweet to his Twitter account:
“You know what guys I can’t wait to be on sat and see nufc taking on qpr for a win! I hope they win every game until I come back!”
One little word of warning to the Senegal international – we’re not playing on Saturday – it’s a Sunday game now with a kick off time of 1:30 pm, and of course QPR appointed Mark Hughes as their new manager yesterday.
And the good news yesterday on Ba was that the Newcastle hierarchy were said to be “relaxed” about the goings on in the press over the release clause in Ba’s contract, so we have to assume from that that there’s just no way he will be leaving us in January.
We also hope that Mark Hughes doesn’t have too much of an impact on the QPR side before Sunday because this is one game we should be taking all three points from.
QPR are hoping to sing one new player before Sunday, and we can also expect QPR to play a very defensive game on Sunday, which is one good reason why we should be starting Ben Arfa.
Demba Ba certainly seems like a smashing lad, and we have to hope not only will we keep the striker on Tyneside this month, but he signs a new long term contract with Newcastle shortly, and he can then spearhead Newcastle’s attack on the top six next season.
Maybe we should make that this season?
Howay The Lads!!

Comment #2Can’t see this guy going anywhere during this window, that gives the club till the summer to offer him a new contract (minus the release clause) that will see him stay with us long term. I genuinely believe that he loves playing for us as we love him playing for us

Comment #7question is – why would he want to leave at the moment? everythings going well for him, he likes living in the city (he disliked London), he has many players around him from similar areas in paris that he is from! If he does go, to anywhere maybe asides from PSG I think he is crazy at the moment! If I was a toon player, i’d be excited by how we’ve done so far and wanting to see where it goes!

Would anyone take Carrol back for 10mil???
He’d be a far better option than Shola, Lovern or Best in my opinion and a Carrol Ba strike force would terrify every defence in the league

Comment #10demba – good luck to you on ANC..then come back & sign a new deal. i know theres a lot of factors in making a decision..especailly for an athlete who only have about 15 years of professional career..but i hope ure satisfied with ur income..that relations are good at the club & if u belive we can get to CL in the next 2, 3 years, sign a new deal. if ure not happy with any of those things i’ll understand if u leave (in summer, but NOT for man utd..or tottenham..or liverpool), cos u are a world class player. anyway..hope everythings ok here & that u stay here for 5,6,7 years.
good luck

Comment #14Ochy – strange these stories of Simpson come out and the following day we bring Tavernier back refusing to allow him to stay till the end of the season? Also the Clyne link isn’t going away

Comment #23Well thats unlucky for Prior, but it will probably mean he’ll get signed by a professional team now so he’s still got a win.
On Ba, this is why im spending less time on here during the windows, its full of lies and rumours. I know as many of the comings and goings of the window as most journalists do by the looks of it.
I’ll be happy with a CB and a ST but who knows what will happen. Just hope we dont lose too many important players, we’re bound to sell one with chubs at the helm.

Comment #32Haha, I think you may be going slightly overboard on Prior. Remember he’s coming from the non-professional leagues and we were basically just taking a punt.
He’ll join a league one or two team now and we’ll never really hear about him again.

Comment #33i like how MAs doing business…i love he brought carr in..& damn…signing santon, cabaye, ba,…world class players. my only concern is that we’re not signing our primary targets cos of agents..cos they cost 5 mio more that we first thought..cos the problem is..IF we dont bring 2,3 quality players in every window, world class players we already have at the club might want to move.. they are world class players – those always aim for gold. its good to be cunning – business wise..but football is more than business.

Comment #34It’s not his Knee as most of us are claiming it’s his “Shinbone” that he broke but i must say this guys is a cut above the rest he came back from this break and managed to score 7 in 7, he also shows loyalty…If not already done maybe some of us should have a read about our new scoring machine.. http://www.demba-ba.eu/biography.html

I’m pretty sure Sir Bobby went to Portugal to have a look at a “fancy dan” named Ronaldo and came back with Hugo Viana too!
