Red Devils Turn Down Newcastle’s Second Bid For Ravel Morrison

Well, it didn’t take long did it.

Ravel Morrison – second Newcastle bid turned down

The news coming in is that Manchester United have turned down a second bid from Newcastle of £1M,  for their top 18 year-old midfielder Ravel Morrison.

The news broke yesterday that Newcastle were interested in the player, who can play in midfield or as a striker up front, and he has immense talent.

Whether Newcastle will go back in with an even better offer is now debatable, since the initial bid of £500K was turned down last weekend by the Manchester club.

We had reported earlier today that Newcastle had gone back in with a £1M offer for the youngster.

If Newcastle do manage to sign the 18 year-old, he will probably be used as a striker for the rest of the season by the Magpies,  and he will see some first team action, which is what he craves.

Ravel has made only three appearances for the Red Devils’ first team, playing those games in the Carling Cup over the last two seasons.

It looks like the ball is back in Newcastle’s court now.

Another bad boy gangsta, someone described him as a talented Nile Ranger.
But with two counts of witness intimidation and several counts of assault to his name already i think we should stay clear of him

i’m tempted to say we should avoid trouble makers like him, but the way people talk of his immense potential just makes me think he’s worth the gamble for such a low price.

    ARRGGGHHHHH

It’s driving me crazy. We are literally 5 players (3 first team, 2 subs) away from being potential challengers.

Our oppenents are stagnent (Man Ure, Liverfool, Chelski, Arsehol) and no better opportunity to close the gap will be presented to us in the near future. I am biased yes, but I honestly think that spending £20 million could see us at the same level as our rivals.

Our Keeper is amazing, our defense solid, centre midfield one of/if not the best in the premiership and Demba Ba is immense.

Come the summer our opponents (with the dissapointment of this season a fresh taste in their mouths) will go all out to improve thier squads counter acting our own efforts.

If we could get a LB, back up CB, RW, back up CM/AM and a ST we could do something really special.

And before anybody says ”why do we need a back up CM/AM?” well if Cabaye gets injured we have nobody designed to replicate his game IMO.

I can’t see us going higher than £1 mill. He’s a fringe, delinquent, low in our pecking order player.
    I cant see it happening.

Let’s be fair here, Ferguson said that they had rejected “an offer” from NUFC for the player. Not offers as in plural. The rejected offer according to ESPN was the 500k one. If we go back with a million they will take it.

Still think we will probably do that, he fits our policy for age/ability and Pardew is arrogant/confident enough to think he could take him on and help him.

wether he can or not who knows, but Man U fans are not happy at the prospect of losing him that’s for sure.

Anybody see Ferguson’s press confrence . He said ‘we have rejected a ”bid” from Newcastle’ using the plural ”bid”.

This indicates to me that our latest offer has not yet been accepted/rejected.

For me if everyone says that he could be ‘World Class’ then I woulkd get him in an instant.

I myself was a troubled youth but as soon as I was taken out of that enviroment I went on to be the man I am today.

Can you believe they let you use the internet in Strangeways.

I can see possibly one more bid going in then if its refused waiting until the summer and taking the lad on a free…

It seems as though he wants first team football so maybe giving him a position out wide instead of obertan could work? Although it also seems like he is wanting big wages so essentially that rules us out…

If MA does that I’m going to get ‘Big Mike 1’ on the back of my shirt.

I think it’s just that we Geordies are excitable and buy putting a story in the Mirror means we will visit the website/buy the paper/spread it on the blogs etc…

Unrealistic demands? I wouldn’t be giving him anymore than £10,000 a week with a 100% raise to £20,000 when he makes 50 first team appearances. He’s 18 for Christ’s sake, what does he reckon he’s worth?

I believe it could be worth the gamling for a 1 – 1,5 million bid for him even though he is a gansta to see if we can sort him out. I think it is rather cheap if you compare to a certain 35 million Liverpool buy that had a few assaults on him as well…
