Alan Pardew BBC Interview After QPR Win – Video

Here’s Alan Pardew’s interview with the BBC after today’s excellent 1-0 win against QPR.

The good news is that it seems Yohan Cabaye will be okay, but he was annoyed about the tackle made on him today.

Well, Cabaye has had a few of those himself, what goes around comes around.
    Hopefully he’s ok for Fulham.

Not bad being 11 points better off than we were this time last season.
And this from a club that has no ambition and sell’s it best players 😉

    Well done Mr Pardew

Hope we aren’t gonna wait till the last day of the window to start bidding for players who will never be sold. Fingers crossed we get one this week, one the week after and then a deadline day loan would even be good.

We have sold our best players – it’s not the selling that’s the problem, it’s the replacing. Ba has been an absolute revelation, Obertan has been… Obertan and Santon has only just started playing despite being available for most of the season.

    As for Nolan: lol

Eden Hazard left out of the Lille team for tonights game, Manager Rudi Garcia had this to say when asked about the players absence.

‘We were hoping to have Eden available for tonight’s game as he’s a very important player for us, but unfortunately he was at Newcastle United’s training ground earlier today and Alan Pardew bound and gagged him and locked him in his office, and is refusing to allow his return for tonight’s game. We have contacted the police and they are now dealing with this very unfortunate situation’

Big loss for the Gooners but well done to Swansea, they deserved a result.

As for us, we need to add to what we have and not just shuffle the deck every transfer window imho.

Don’t get some on here giving pardew grief he’s the best manager we’ve had since SBR and dont think anyone at the start of the season would of expected us to be 6th by mid jan its about time Pardew is shown some trust in that he knows what he’s doing

The Swnsea fans enjoyed some great football today …

The fans at SJP paid to watch one shot on target but a professional performance?

Who would have expected that Newcastle would be level on points with arsenal and above Liverpool after 21 games at the start of the season?

I have to disagree with people saying Pardew has no plan B. He could have easily brought on gosling or abeid if he wanted to stick to the 442 but didnt and went for the 4231 on the basis of how the game was going

Ponderous… The game changed as soon as hba came on, we started passin the ball and he would of set up alot more chances if shola nd best werent standin still. Just look at when he put best through, shola was standin watchin, if hes movin then thats a goal. As soon as we get a striker who runs behind defences(erdinc) we will see the best out of hba. Hes got a football brain and sees things alot of our players dont. As pardew says he can do things noone else in out team can do. Hes a magician the way he goes past player.

The table makes cracking reading. Even better than when we were unbeaten, everyone said we hadn’t played anyone. Now we have played everyone there is to play, and taken 4 points from Man U!!!!!

Would love to take 7 points from next 3 league games, get through to the 5th round and get a home draw.

When you look at fixtures through to the end of March, we can win a good chunk of those games and really push on.

Sholaameobi… Spot on! He put best on the left and jonas in the middle, they couldnt get the ball off us for large periods. If shola had turned up today we would pf scored a few. They were there for the taking but shola sidnt make any runs. Btw i thought raylor deserverd some credit today, hes the ultimate utilityplayer. santon is gettin better game by game aswel.

We are not Arsenal or Manu or City, remember we were relegated recently.

We are winning these games which we would have lost 3 seasons ago. Not always by playing champagne football but by god, we’ve played some decent stuff throughout the season and seen some tremendous goals – route one at times, but not always.

Long may it continue. Please please please bring in a quality striker and a CB/RB. With another CF of Ba’s quality and Arfa @ RMF we will be immense.

Pards basically saying HBA is playing his way into the team now. I think the way Pards has handled him is 1st class. If you want a starting birth, you have to put the workrate in – team first, magic feet second. And it’s working.

Shola did well in holding the ball up and he played a part in the goal……….. however he is not a goalscorer, he does not frighten defenses and in all fairness he would not get in any other premier league team…………
That being said the team is playing well, and players like Santon and Guthrie are growing into the side. we need a CB first and foremost as a back up. I cringe when I see Perch on the pitch.

Great result today. A bit worried we had no other striker on the bench, though. We definitely need another forward.

Spot on son, if we get Erdinc or someone similar it will provide much more movement up front and allow Arfa more freedom to express his true talents.
We are still building the team around the system Pardew wants to play but haven’t got all the players needed to do it yet, but we are close, very close to being a top team.
Patience lads we are near, and l think another 2 or 3 players will see us hit a championship qualifying position and then we need to bring through our youth.

    Great interview.

A question for the hoofballers/neggers/ one player Pardew has signed who isn’t a passer, quick, good on the ball?

Then look at the type of players we are allegedly after. For E.G.

    Clyne etc etc

I think sometime, although it frustrates me too, he is making the best of our hoofball players of old squads. Replacing Best or Shola with a good pacy striker ans Simpson with a decent fullback and we are much closer to the team we want.

In my eyes he is doing what Robson did when he came, adding youth, pace, flair and movement to a pretty one paced squad.

Now think where we would likely be if we had that extra quality defender or Saylor didn’t get injured. I’d say 3-6 points better off. Now realise what a good job Pardew is doing, where he is taking the squad and stop moaning, please.
