We’ve been sent what appear to be the new shirts from Puma for Newcastle United for next season.
They were sent by the Football Shirts site, but the very first thing that you see is the old Northern Rock logo – and of course that will now be Virgin Money.
But after contacting the Football Shirt site, they say there is a long lead time into developing the shirts, and these should be the new shirts, but with the Virgin Money logo on them.
Ian Ebbs of the site ha been very good at explaining it to me this morning, and they are pretty confident these will be the new shirts – maybe with a tweak here or there.
They tell me they usually get about 95% of the kit leaks right, and will not publish something they are not reasonably confident about.
The one shown above looks like the home shirt, and it’s back to the more transitional black and white stripes with a white collar.
This is an interesting one with a shirt in black and white that’s in halves.
Maybe an away shirt in a kind of gray and the Newcastle blue. Notice the blue collar which seems to be becoming popular again – I like the collars.
An away shirt in gray and a kind of purple color – this one with a white collar – a goalkeeper jersey according to Ian Ebbs of the Football Shirts site.
This may even be a goalkeeper jersey – well it’s green. 😀
The shirts have been captured by somebody on the Internet and sent to the Football Shirts site. Try saying that quickly!
So it’s not completely clear which will be strips and which could even be some training gear – but in any case this is what the Football Shirt site has for Newcastle for next seaosn.
