Ryan Taylor has revealed that things are a lot more stable at the Newcastle club.
Ryan Taylor – after scoring stunning winner at Sunderland
It seems ever since Alan Pardew arrived he has stamped his authority on the team and the club in a very positive way, and certainly the players seem right behind what he’s trying to do.
Add to that the very important fact that Newcastle have had their best season so far for many a long year, and things continue to look up on Tyneside.
Ryan has said the players are not particularly surprised at being in 6th position in the league:
“There’s only the big five clubs above us. Saying that we’re sixth but not surprised. We’ve had a great season and we’ve got some great players.”
“The club’s nice and stable now, so it’s going well. When people say ‘surprised’, no one is surprised because we know we’ve got some good players here.”
“We’re all excited to start working with Cisse and to see what he’s got for us. I know he’s obviously a big team member of Demba Ba.”
Newcastle had a hiccup on Saturday in that second half at Fulham, but it’s important not to over-react to that too much, and generally Newcastle have performed just great this season.
One of their best ever wins over Manchester United by 3-0 just three weeks ago at St. James’ Park is testament to that.

The lads are keeping their firmly on the ground but would like to get to that 40 points mark as soon as possible, and Ryan is full of praise for the Newcastle manager, and the place is much more relaxed these days:
“It’s not just to get to 40, it’s to try to reach it as early as possible and to do it, you know, coming towards the end of January, that’ll be a massive bonus for us because then we can just kick on and enjoy the last half of the season.”
“Alan Pardew just come in with his own plans, his own staff, and he’s brought a number of players in who are completely different characters to what we already had here.”
“And to be honest, the place now just seems a lot more relaxed and it helps you for when you’ve got a game on the weekend.”
Alan Pardew has a chance to see out his contract at Newcastle, which still has another four and a half years to run, and we’d like him to stay over that period.
One reason for that is that he will have been very successful, and certainly so far Newcastle and Alan Pardew seem to have been match made in heaven.
Long may it continue.

Yeah so we got hope:
1) Liverpool win the Carling Cup and finish in the top 7.
2) Any of the eventual top 7 are FA Cup finalists.
Then 7th will still be available for Europa, and then hope we finish 7th!
With Demba and Demba back we will have more of a chance!
