Ryan Taylor has revealed that things are a lot more stable at the Newcastle club.
Ryan Taylor – after scoring stunning winner at Sunderland
It seems ever since Alan Pardew arrived he has stamped his authority on the team and the club in a very positive way, and certainly the players seem right behind what he’s trying to do.
Add to that the very important fact that Newcastle have had their best season so far for many a long year, and things continue to look up on Tyneside.
Ryan has said the players are not particularly surprised at being in 6th position in the league:
“There’s only the big five clubs above us. Saying that we’re sixth but not surprised. We’ve had a great season and we’ve got some great players.”
“The club’s nice and stable now, so it’s going well. When people say ‘surprised’, no one is surprised because we know we’ve got some good players here.”
“We’re all excited to start working with Cisse and to see what he’s got for us. I know he’s obviously a big team member of Demba Ba.”
Newcastle had a hiccup on Saturday in that second half at Fulham, but it’s important not to over-react to that too much, and generally Newcastle have performed just great this season.
One of their best ever wins over Manchester United by 3-0 just three weeks ago at St. James’ Park is testament to that.
Ryan Taylor golfing yesterday in Tenerife with Steve Stone
The lads are keeping their firmly on the ground but would like to get to that 40 points mark as soon as possible, and Ryan is full of praise for the Newcastle manager, and the place is much more relaxed these days:
“It’s not just to get to 40, it’s to try to reach it as early as possible and to do it, you know, coming towards the end of January, that’ll be a massive bonus for us because then we can just kick on and enjoy the last half of the season.”
“Alan Pardew just come in with his own plans, his own staff, and he’s brought a number of players in who are completely different characters to what we already had here.”
“And to be honest, the place now just seems a lot more relaxed and it helps you for when you’ve got a game on the weekend.”
Alan Pardew has a chance to see out his contract at Newcastle, which still has another four and a half years to run, and we’d like him to stay over that period.
One reason for that is that he will have been very successful, and certainly so far Newcastle and Alan Pardew seem to have been match made in heaven.
Long may it continue.

Comment #48Ahem to wade back in here before we sold Carroll he was the future of the England squad, the player the squad would be built around for years to come and the player to take us into international glory….can that not be called world class?

Comment #50zaha is no better than sameobi?
that’s a load if i’ve ever heard one
sameobie has a LONG way to go before he comes into our first team, much less anyone else’s. I’d say he’s probably at about league 1 standard at best right now. not saying he want blossom from here, but he needs to add alot to his game before we start saying he’s better than an established championship player who the PL’s big boys are after

Comment #53yeah, rotonda, because you read it off newcastlerumours does not make it credible, much less repeating it on here verbatim making it seem it has the credibility it doesn’t warrant
hope it’s true, but i’ll trust when it actually DOES come from “sky sources” (ie sky sports).

Comment #54It says about ben arfa on an article on the chronicle:
“Meanwhile, United star Hatem Ben Arfa was given permission not to attend this week’s training camp in Tenerife.
The player was invited by the French FA to make the draw for the last 16 of the French Cup.
But Ben Arfa is expected to link up with United again tomorrow.”

Quite right.
Most of us thought he was going to be a prolific goal scoring No9 for NUFC and England.
That’s why we were gutted he left, even for 35M.
On this years form he isn’t worth that.
Personally I still think he could be amazing, bu just now something isn’t quite right, but if it comes together he could score 25+ in a season.

Comment #58the day andy carroll scores 25 goals a season, well…
well i couldn’t think of anything to say or do that would be as preposterous a notion as andy carroll scoring 25 goals in a season. i bet he’ll struggle to get 25 in his anfield career, and i’ll be laughing every day 🙂

Comment #60I think we will end up getting Morrison, probably only because MA will want to sell him on for more, can’t be a bad thing if hes as good as everyone says he is. And surely his attitude/off pitch stuff cant be worse than ballotellis and city paid 24m for him!

Its a matter of opinion how as a fan you feel toward the Carroll sale, but since I will never know the circumstances of his leaving and the fact that he was on his way to becoming a local legend,I am not going to take any pleasure at his current plight, saying that though I dont wish him any success at Anfield either.

fair enough but if i’m perfectly honest i’m pretty tired of muddling through every single post and every single post has someone mentioning his return, or that they hope he returns.
the bottom line (imo) is that carroll’s skill will never again be able match our ambition

Comment #64We all have different feelings towards players who have left, many would have Martins back whereas I wouldnt for example. Fact of the matter its a personal thing.
On a far more important note is there any substance to these Morrison rumours? Has sky actually mentioned it or is that bull crap?
