Thump… Peter Crouch is a target man.. He scores goals! Grant Holt is a target man.. He scores Goals! Adebayor is a target man.. He scores goals! Demba Ba is a target man.. He scores goals! Ameobi is a lazy man who would as somebody has already said would rather grapple with a player than try to lose his marker from a cross! Yeah he won a few flick ons! You cant justify a start and a captains armband because you all you cn do is win a few headers!

Perch, Santon and that’s all. Guthrie and Cabaye could have played better if there was more movement up front, but everybody was standing, no runnings at all. Shola was joke again.

Poor performance but we didnt deserve to lose the game. Would have been nice to have seen Best or Shola dropped with Ben Arfa or Obertan playing off a striker giving us more pace. And as he gets a lot of stick, i’ll add that perch did alright and saved williamson a few times!! Now lets go get Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa. HTL

going back to the QPR game after cabaye injury i think that the way we changed when cabaye came on during that game in the midfield show pardew is too single minded as too where players play. what do you think if it were for blackburn

    ________HBA______

with the players available, if playing 4-3-3, then surely Krul, Simo, Wills, Perch, Santon, Guthrie, Gosling, Cabaye, Obertan, Best & Ben-Afra may have worked better. The day when Shola is either out 5th choice striker or sold will be a sign of us progressing.

    Still in shock…

This was FAR worse than 5-2 mauling at Fulham.

Shola is such a poor footballer.
Where’s the energy? Where’s the passion?
    Where’s the ability?

I cannot see what Shola offers us these days…
Quite possibly, he is a decent impact sub now and then but I don’t think Shola can ever start again for us based on so many of the same awful performances.

Best is ok when he’s actually playing as a striker.
I don’t get why Pardew didn’t opt for a 4-4-2 – was he scared of Brighton? Come on…too much respect shown.
We should be playing 4-3-3 and showing Brighton that we are a top 6 Prem team…

Lesson learned I hope…now lets see if we can actually finish the season off strongly in the league because if we don’t get 8th or higher this season, I will be totally pi22ed.

After calming down since the Brighton defeats I have noticed a few positives.

    Demba Ba saying this:

    @dembabafoot Demba Ba
Can’t wait to get back! From a competiton to an other! PL top half of the table ++++++

Then I realised that through today’s and Fulham’s performance it has really shown Ashley, Llambias, Carr and Pardew how poor Williamson can be. Therefore, hopefully increasing our efforts for a CB who can come straight into the team alongside Colocinni.

Another positive is today must have accentuated to Pardew that putting Hatem Ben Arfa on the wing is a no-go. Therefore we might see him playing behind Cisse and Ba soon!

With, Tiote/Cabaye/Gutierrez/Guthrie/Vuckic/Abeid/Obertan/Marveaux playing in the midfield.

Just got home from the match and we was completely POO we didn’t seem to want to attack and seemed from the off that we would be happy with a draw, Poyet was never gunna let us leave with a 0-0 not his style, we lost because we had a donkey in attack 🙁
also can someone tell me why thats Bambi’s last game in a newcastle shirt??
