Newcastle manager Alan Pardew wants to get Danish defender Jores Okore on Tyneside.
Jores Okore – top 19 year-old Danish center-back
The 19 year-old was born in Abidjan in the Ivory Coast, and he moved to Denmark with his family at the age of 3, and the center-back now plays for Danish club FC Nordsjælland based in the town of Farum.
He started out in 2000 at the age of eight with Danish club Boldklubben af 1893, and moved to FC Nordsjælland in 2007.
The report is that Liverpool are interested in the right-footed player, well that’s a surprise, but that Pardew would like to get the lad tied up with a contract at Newcastle.
But Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United and other top European clubs have been watching the player this season.
Whether Newcastle are trying to bring the lad in before the January transfer window closes on Tuesday night, or in the summer – we don’t know – but it’s probably in the next couple of days.
The youngster is said to be a talented player who has played 18 times with one goal and one assist this season for FC Nordsjælland, and last season he made 15 appearances. FC Nordsjælland are currently second top of the Danish Super League.
The Ivory-cost–born player who stands 6′ tall, has been the focus of scouts across Europe, and has been highly praised for his abilities.
Okore is a capable and aggressive defender, who is very calm on the ball and reads the game well from the back, and he has good leadership abilities – sign him up.
The youngster has three caps for the Danish U21 side, and has already been capped twice by Denmark at the full International level.
It was last September when Okore made his international youth debut for the Danish under-21 at the age of 19, participating in a UEFA Under-21 Championship Qualifying 3-0 win over Northern Ireland.
That’s a game in which Newcastle’s Shane Ferguson played for Northern Ireland on the left wing.
Then in November of last year he was called up to the Denmark National football squad as a replacement for Simon Kjær, for the friendly against Sweden, and he made his senior debut in that match, coming on in the 62nd minute as a sub.
Newcastle are always on the look out for top young talent like this, and we hope Newcastle can sign the youngster.
Comments welcome.

Comment #4not true or we wudnt of heard any rumours… worst thing about being a nufc fan, we hide our deals to well, no one new about cisse marveux santon ba cabaye etc until bid was accpeted then people started pretending to have a source when really the other club just told the press…
in short all these rumours are lies…
the press said it themselves, pardew said he wanted a CB so lots of names are going to be mentioned 😉

We were linked with Cabaye and Ba ages before the summer window opened.
The Ba link was definitely before it was certain West Ham were going down.
And it was never made secret that we wanted Cabaye on Tyneside. Think he was the 1 solid clear cut target we had for a while. That was back when we were after Gameiro and Gervinho

Comment #8I don’t think we are going to sign this guy.
We have many players like Streete, Folan, Dummet, Nzuzi, etc. Why not play these kids? We already know their characteristics, we trained them.

Comment #11Our problem is we have good target men, but we don’t have good crossers. We tried to play through middle which is too crowded, we don’t have Ginola and Gillespie quality or type of player anymore. Our wingers don’t cross, our wing backs crossed more than our wingers, which leave gaps at the back. The y were called the entertainers because they don’t really care about playing defensive, their mentality is “attack is the best defense”/ “Kamikaze football”, you score 1 we score 2, you score we score 3.

Comment #12As a Dane I have seen Jores Okore a couple of times and he is very big talent. But still a talent – I think he it will be difficult for him to play in the PL right now. But give him ½-1 year and he could be a good back-up. At least he is better than Perch, but who isn’t

Comment #13I hate Perch, but he did well vs Brighton. He gave speed to the center defense, he gave cover to Willo lack of speed. We were very unlucky and not sharped enough vs Brighton. Our midfield was impotent, especially wingers.

I don’t want hopeful crosses.
i want balls played through the middle from benny and cabaye, but best and shola are statues with zero movement. With Ba and Cisse hopefully we’ll see a lot more pace and mobility.

What you wished maybe could work with Ba and Cisse, not with Best and Shola. If Shola and Best are playing, you can’t forced them to play like Ba and Cisse. It won’t work.

Comment #17Any CB with pace please, atm any ball played in behind our backline is a certain goal, just as any winger running at Simmo will always get into the box.

El-abd really starting to pissed me off. He looks like a tough guy with alot of tatooes, but he act moaning whining little biatch.
If you saw the replay, yes Cabaye did kicked, but if he didn’t Cabaye would received spinning back heel kick on the face. It was a foul by him in the begining anyway.

Comment #19So. Emile Heskey, Kieron Dyer and Nicky Shorey are all free agents at the end of the year! Why bother with some just out of the oven danish pastry when we could get experience for free!!!
Imagine…Heskey…at the TOON! I heard we are gonna sign all three in exchange for Santon, Ben Arfa and Ba
Oh how i would hate my life if that happened. Seriously i think i would go into exile.

Comment #21El-abd should shut up,he deserved what he got,if not more. All game he was getting into it with our players,Leon Best at every corner, kicking Hba’s heels and calf then body checking Cabaye.

Comment #22A quick, powerful CB would be great, hopefully one who could replace Simpson at RB when everyone is fit. Question is, can we keep our players for the next 39 and a bit hours, and add a defender?
If so then that would be great. It’s not exaggeration to say that the next 2 days will define our season. So Mike, what’s it to be?

Comment #26seems some double standards on the blog recentley
them being we cant be in for Mbiwa because its been posted on twitter
but some twitter posts he’s talked to Mbiwa’s agent and he’s not coming so everyone takes it as gospel ????
firstly why would his agent talk to some kid of twitter ?
and 2nd why is only bad news accepted as truth of twitter ?

Comment #34I am Danish and I have seen Okore play. He is a major talent. Like Tioté he is an animal if you look at his physique. His tactical knowledge and technique is lacking though. Pretty much what you would expect from a 19 year old…
Big talent but not ready for EPL yet.
I would guess we could get him for 1 mil and that would be a bargain.
6 months training with us and he would be ready for some games but not now….
