Papiss Cisse And Gabby Obertan Start For Magpies

As expected Newcastle will start with the team that was on the field after Leon Best and Ryan Taylor went off  injured last week in that first half against Aston Villa.

So Papiss Cisse starts up front for Leon Best and will partner Demba Ba ,  and Gabby Obertan starts on the right wing in place of Ryan Taylor.

Results seem to have gone Newcastle’s way today, with Manchester United beating Liverpool fairly easily by 2-1 with two good goals from Wayne Rooney in the early game.

And Everton have won 2-0 at Goodison Park against Chelsea today,  and they won fairly comfortably against what appeared to be a poor Chelsea side, certainly a gutless performance from the London side.

And it seems that Arsenal may have scored the winner against Sunderland in injury time and are currently leading 2-1, after Sunderland had taken the lead in the second half.

The goal was scored by Thierry Henry in the first minute of added time and that’s now a result.

And at the bottom Blackburn beat QPR  by 3-2 and Wigan beat Bolton 2-1 away – two unexpected results, and will  Joey be playing in the Championship next season?

Newcastle start this game in 6th place in the league, one point behind both Chelsea and Arsenal, and a win today will take Newcastle into 4th place in the league.

It will be a tough game, but we’ll be happy enough if the lads show total and complete commitment to the cause at White Hart Lane.

Howay The Lads!!

If that is our team selection today then Hatem Ben Arfa will be on his way in the summer I feel. If Perch and Obertan are now getting picked before him then he will go I think.

I’m not criticising the team selection though as I trust Pardew, I personally would of picked Ben Arfa before Obertan. And then played a diamond in midfield.

CDM Perch LCM Gutierrez RCM Guthrie CAM Ben Arfa. But Obertan has been playing well so we’ll see what happens.

Think Ba will play as a deep laying No#10 today to fill out our midfield with Cisse up front to terrorise King and Dawson.

Three points and fourth place for us toady KEEP THE FAITH

    HTL

as mentioned, whoever plays LM will be key. Krancjar slips into the middle. he hustles back but we need Obertan who will beat him 10 times out of 10 in a foot race. guti to keep bale at bay. hope pardew realizes a simple switch between our wingers could make all the difference

    not counting on it though…
