Newcastle Interested In Young Wigan Striker

It seems that Wigan teenager Rakish Bingham is on Newcastle’s radar screen for the summer.

The 18 year-old striker has been in good form for the Wigan Reserves side this season, and it seems that he is interesting a lot of clubs including Fulham, Manchester City, Sunderland and Glasgow Rangers,  as well as Newcastle.

The news is in the Sun and we reported yesterday that Newcastle would like to bring in a good young striker to the club in the summer, because it’s almost certain that both Peter Lovenkrands and Nile Ranger will be leaving Newcastle.

The lad was born in Newham, London but we notice he wasn’t in the Wigan Reserves squad,  when Newcastle twice beat Wigan in the Barclays Premier Reserve League North this season.

It’s difficult to find too much information about the teenager, so if readers have seen this lad play, let us know what he’s like.

And if Wigan are relegated this season – they are currently rock bottom on 19 points – then it seems that former Newcastle target Victor Moses may be sold, with QPR already registering an interest.

But of course QPR will need to stay in the Premier League too and at the moment they are above the drop zone only because of their better goal difference than Blackburn and Wolves, who have the same number of points – 21 – as QPR.

Maybe Newcastle will increase their interest in the 21 year-old England U21 winger in the summer.

Comments welcome.

“Here are the PL results this year:

    Arsenal (H) 0-0 – Held our own
    Mackems (A) 0-1 – Scraped a win
    Fulham (H) 2-1 – Lucky to win
QPR (A) 0-0 – Should have been stuffed
    Villa (A) 1-1 – Held our own
Blackburn (H) 3-1 – Easily beat a poor Blackburn side
Wolves (A) 1-2 – Very lucky to win (wouldve been lucky to draw)
Spurs (H) 2-2 – Held our own but slightly fortuitous
Wigan (H) 1-0 – Poor performance lucky to win
Stoke (A) 1-3 – Great showing against poor Stoke team
Everton (H) 2-1 – Very hard to watch at times
Man City (A) 3-1 – Outclassed but gave a good account
Man Utd (A) 1-1 – Outclassed, hammered but held on
Chelsea (H) 0-3 – Matched Chelsea and unlucky to loose
Norwich (A) 4-2 – Tactically outwitted and outplayed
    Swansea (H) 0-0 – Very poor performance
West Brom (H) 2-3 – Terrible game and again tactically beaten
Bolton (A) 0-2 – Poor performance, good win
    Liverpool (A) 3-1 – Shocking again
Man Utd (H) 3-0 – Outplayed Man Utd for 90 minutes
    QPR (H) 1-0 – Lucky to win
Fulham (A) 2-5 – Great first half, embarrising second
    Blackburn (A) 0-2 – Should’ve been stuffed
Villa (H) 2-1 – Should have been 3-0 first half, lucky to win
    Spurs (A) 5-0 – Shocking, terrible, horrible”

AB SOULTE BRILLIANT post I was going to write this this has to open a bit of eyes to the so called critics of the “negative” fans..

if anybody can argue those descriptions of the games is …well….

    A LIAR….

    Also to add….

games like Chealsea and VIlla it was unfair in Pardews a defense we could have taken a result away from Chelksi if it wasn’t for the numerous posts, plus we dominated the game vs Villa.

The rest of the wins are HARDLY for his tactical genius or lack thereof more likely.

The fact that having a perfectly legal and on the money critique is coming to question here is funny as hell, those fans ONLY argument is we are 6th or 7th or 5th atmo.

We will wait and see where we will finish end year mates.
There are games where we should have taken the opposition by the scruff of the neck and didn’t FULHAM for one…. they came back and took us apart they where truly WOEFUL first half we let it slip.

Sorry to burst your bubble that is a TACTICAL blinder of an error. etc etc etc

AAaaaaaalllll of wich I dont even mind so much as to the utter spitefullnes and stubborness of our manager when it comes to who to play on what position and when.

why cant we see us play for example vs a Wolves side like this

    ——————–KRUL———————–
    SANTON —- WILLO——COLO—–R.TAYLOR
    ———- CABAYE–TIOTE–GUTHRIE————
    HBA——————-CISSE———————BA

Santon to cover HBA with Cabaye, tight midfield to boss, Ba on the wing cause he is quick and played wider in Germany knows what it is about….?

Did anyone watch MOTD2 last night and Phil Nevilles frank and honest assesment of his own form at the beggining of the season and how he ‘deserved to be dropped?’

I really think that Gorgonzola has hit the nail on the head and that Simmo should be dropped in place of Raylor.

He has been and aways has been poor.

Gorgonzola sir, that is a great team, and one that can play (and wait for it because this is the name of the sport we love) football

I think it was beattie25 who posted that? Absolutely brilliant post and sums up our season. There are certain games which I can’t believe we didn’t get trounced but got all 3 points. Villa and Blackburn recently especially.

I would love to see us play that side and I agree that Simpson could do with a spell on the bench. I’m hoping that recent line ups have been hugely influenced by the absence of Tiote and Cabaye

gorgonzola, I think your descriptions of the games are a little on the negger side of things, but for the most part I agree with you.

on the whole, bashing Pardew on his tactical decisions like formations and what not. Have you seen the table lately, it obviously doing some good for us. Yes, Pardew chooses the tactics but it is up to the players on the day to carry them through and days like Fulham 2-5, we became complacent, we thought they were done for and switched off, that to me seems more like the players fault than Pardew’s?

The defeat at Fulham has nothing to do with players switching off. It was Pardew decision to play the high line and his stubbornness and not changing it. Santon yellow card before halftime was already his reminder.

Oh, well make sure you make it seem that way instead of dumping the blame of Pardew for something the players were more at fault for.. like i said, Pardew gives the tactics, but on the day it is up to the players to see them through and try their best

I was so relieved to see somebody post your sum of the games SPOT on like you cant believe…. I was thinking about it I was out for a while and its EXACTLY that sir well done….

It the sheer reality, NO we are not pathetic and no I don’t call for Pardews head, I wish he had some balls to admit certain things and change it around a bit and seriously bin players that don’t perform and not take it out on HBA….its pathetic and I am sick of it….

Players that are not doing well this season willsay it again, and seem to get very little repremand are

Willo(excluded we are missing the hero Saylor)
    Simmo
    Obertan
Simmo ( yes he had goal line clearances but his decision mankind on the ball is so panicky its doing my balls in)
    Perch (—-)
Ameobi ( I think Pardew has a thing for his wag or something)

if we are so called neggers, then the pro pardew crew are just blind worshipers,

cos if im not correct, us neggers want players like obertan, simpson, perch, willamson to not play when we have better players available,

HBA should always be ahead of obertan on ability alone

simpson, right now and for most of last season he has shown time and time again he isnt good enough, ferguson came in for jose lst year and did amazing, santon should be right back and ferg should be left back,

perch is a desaster, abeid should play and learn the game, he has more ability, pardew eevn said he would cover while tiote was away, how did perch get in befor him???

willamson, is just to slow, and right now we dont have cover, so he should play, but the whole of jan when they could have got someone in they didnt 🙁

and one last point, for all you pro pardew fans that say look at the table, we do look at the table, we really see how close we are, we really see that if pardew was just a little bit more brave, we could really get 4th place, chelsea liverpool and ars are having a mare of a season, it wont happen every year, go for it, fortune favours the brave

Off the top of my head double up with hard working wingers taking large amounts of pressure off our full backs

ie Raylor on the right and Gutti on the left covering both Simmo and Santon

come on man, i would believe what you say if it happend a few times, but more often than not, we play poorly, so if the players arnt following pardews plans, he should drop them, after all there making him look bad,

to me there following his advice to the letter, and thats why there picked, HBA is a bit different, pardew carnt control him, thats why he wont be picked

The difference being that Cisse gave a lot more against Villa (and scored) and then his only other game was a terrible team performance where we barely had the ball. I’ve never given Ameobi “lots of hate” but my point regarding Simpson is he has put in some poor performances and we have players who could cover his position. I’m not a “sheep” football fan but I do think competition for places and therefore spending some time on the bench is not a bad thing

    is

“ie Raylor on the right and Gutti on the left covering both Simmo and Santon”

    Raylor RM Gutti LM?

I think you didnt interpret my formation at all…CM tighter diamond. BA wing HBA wing I think is a bit more potent than Raylor RM and Gutti LM ….

Yes playing 2 strikers and a want to be withdrawn striker would be more attacking as they are primarily attacking players but that leaves our back door wide open

Also we will have Guthrie in ur team I assuming who always looks to get forward so again that pushes 4/5 (with Cabaye as well) pushing higher up the field leaving Tiote and our back 4 to defend but Santon is very often not at LB and rather pegs forward into a more LM/LW which drags our back 4 into a out of position back 3.

catchy in norway went on about obertan, and he has been prooved right,

there are players that anrt the best footballers but at least put 100% in, and then you have players like obertan, who do not create or defend

player like ryan taylor, who should be playing at right back cos he is the better option, he isnt great, but he offers mor than simpson,

you play your best 11 always, but pardew dont do that, he is trying to prove that he is right about obertan,
