Haris Vuckic Scores For Cardiff In Their Win Over Peterborough

Haris Vuckic again started for Cardiff City for the second game running tonight.

Haris Vuckic – wears the number 19 shirt at Cardiff

That’s the second  game Haris has started since he went on an initial month-long loan deal to the Welsh side late last week.

The Slovenian U21 International  scored Cardiff’s third goal after 40 minutes, in the home side’s 3-1 win over Peterborough  at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Haris was substituted after 77 minutes but he seems to be getting good playing time at Cardiff, who after tonight’s games in the Championship find themselves 3rd top on 53 points, just 3 points behind second placed Southampton.

Southampton drew 0-0 at West Ham in the top of the table encounter, so that Cardiff gained two points on both sides.

West Ham are currently top on 57 points from their 30 games,  and they did well to get a point as Matthew Taylor managed to get himself sent off after just 18 minutes for needlessly pushing Bill Sharp to the ground.

The Hammers were without former Newcastle captain Kevin Nolan, who received a straight red card against Milwall for another needless foul, and this was the first game he had missed as he serves a three match ban.

19 year-old Haris is one of  the Magpies’ top young players and the central midfielder has so far played 12 times for the Newcastle first team, and no doubt the Newcastle management will be watching closely to see how the youngster fares at Cardiff.

Chris Hughton’s Birmingham City drew 0-0 at St. Andrews Stadium with Hull  City and find themselves in 5th place in the Championship on 51 points, one point above Hull, and they are now unbeaten in their last 9 league games with 6 wins.

I might be wrong but I think it’s only a 1 month loan… Hopefully its extended to the end of the season- this lad is class and just needs game time to gain match experience.

We should loan out Mehdi Abeid as well, now that we have both Tiote and Cabaye back.

Would be good for him an initially for us as well.

I would even consider loaning out Shane Ferguson.

Honestly, haven’t been on the blog in a while. Came on to make my point that if parses wants the wingers to track back than that is just really obvious our wing backs are not good enough. Right now we have to class center mids and a great back up in Danny guthrie. We whatsoever have no right wing besides obertan, while marveau covers both wings he is out for season. Ben arfa is a center attacking mid for sure. Jonas was a great player attacking wise but has really changed under pardew he is more all around. Have to say more defensively. Ba and cisse up top , Betsy injured. Luik de Jong would b perfect signing, competing with ba and cisse. On the other hand Steven Taylor, my fav toon player, is out injured, willo is not good enough, average, we need Douglas or mbwia , I prefer Douglas who is a natural beast and extremely aggressive. Once parser has a team organized with no tracking back , as in the Wong backs can handle the pressure, we will be a force to b reckoned with…. Great season so far, and hopes are high or uefa spot, HWTL!!

and baro….good point, but i think everyone realizes our fullbacks aren’t what we need right now

santon shows signs of class but he’s been pretty shaky these past few games. jonas still has his work cut out for himself

a CB, 1 or 2 FBs in the summer, some midfield competition….Mark Davies would be incredible from Bolton (gosling perhaps a full/half season loan, perch bye bye, one of either vuckic or abeid on loan the same as gosling, the more promising of the two sticking around)

a winger (direct above flashiness, a la Jarvis/Matty Philips, preferably the latter)

and a good, young, promising striker to challenge with Besty come next january when los dos dembas are at ACON (a la Rhodes, Rodriguez, Mayuka)

was it that bad? i heard he gave up a penalty but was it bad beyond that or was it just blighted by that?

Baro agree with pretty much everything you have said. I think our defensive flaws have been highlighted more so by the amount of pressure they have come under due to not having a strong central midfield. Don’t forget that Santon didn’t have any involvement in the first 11 games of the season lads, he has still only started a hatful of games (but more than hba I might add).

As for the previous thread I agree with gt89 late post about transfers, its pretty much everyone I mentioned in my earlier post. Not sure about the likes of Davies, tompkins and zaha. I guess it all depends on their prices but I think better are available for less. Zaha for me is like Sammy Ameobi, raw and always looks like he is going to lose the ball.

As for players going out on loan I was mystified why we allowed tavernier to go out on loan when we are so short at fullback. I’m glad Vuckic is getting game time and wouldn’t have any problems giving him more time at Cardiff and sending Abeid out too. As for Ferguson I think the lad would be best suited here getting a shot on the wing.

    —— ——- ————-Krul
    —-Simpson. Williamson Colccini Santon
    —————-Cabaye Tiote. Guthrie
    —————Ben Arfa Ba

    433 formation

At the moment, this is what i think our strongest team is.

I have been wanting to see that formation. I think Arfa would excel in that position. Not sure if I would prefer Jonas or Guthrie though.

I would also see us try a diamond formation (4-1-2-1-2) like this:

    ————————-Ben Arfa———————————-

Im a big advocate of young players going out on loan to develop their game….just look at how Man Utd have done this over the years dating way back, even before Beckham going to Preston North End complete with his ‘Warren Barton centre parting’….we should be sending out the likes of Vukic and Ferguson to the championship for 6 months or so imo, it will be the making if them.
