Tim Krul was interviewed last night on nufcTV, and for those who don’t have a subscription to the Newcastle channel, we have his interview below.
Tim Krul – delighted to sign for the club I love
Tim Krul has always wanted to play for Newcastle, and he fell in love with the club when he arrived as a bright eyed 17 year old in the summer of 2005.
This is what Tim had to say last night:
“I’m over the moon of course.” To commit my future to Newcastle is a fantastic feeling and I’m just looking forward to the years ahead to be honest.”
“I’ve always wanted to play for Newcastle in the Premier League, and this year has been really my break-through year, and I owe a lot to Alan Pardew and the club who have given me the opportunity to play for Newcastle.”
“And to sign five more years for Newcastle which is a fantastic feeling.” “I’ve been here a while now, I love Newcastle and I’ve been here six and a half years now so I know the City, I know the fans and I know everything, and the club has a fantastic future .”
“And I think we are going in the right way, so i want to be part of it.” “The club have always kept their promises to me anyway and even this year, like I would be the next number one at the club, and that faith in me gave me the confidence and will to sign on.”
“I came back from the Internationals yesterday and I signed the deal while I was there, so I know where I am going to be here for years to come.” “I have a fantastic connection with the fans.”
“And it’s grown even more this season, they have always given me support, and it’s now onwards and upwards, and I want to have success with Newcastle United.”
“We are a top 10 side already and we will keep signing the right players and keeping the right players.” “Alan Pardew has given me the faith by making me number one, and I have a great relationship with the manager.”
“It’s really important Colo has signed, Colo been a fantastic player for Newcastle over the years, and he has been massive for me, and when I heard he was close to signing it give me another reason to commit.”
Really good words from Tim Krul, whop we’ve always throught was just a great kid, and so committed to Newcastle United – we love the lad!
The signings of both Coloccini and Krul is a great piece of news before the derby game tomorrow at St. James’ Park against Sunderland, and if we can win that game, we’ll be flying high indeed.
In fact we’ll be in orbit.
Howay The Lads!!
