The following policies should be taken into consideration before commenting:
An update on my health situation - we have terminated the PluVicto treatment halfway through, because of the severity of the side effects - diarrhea, vomiting, and acid reflux.
And there was no evidence the treatment was having any positive effect in stopping the prostate cancer from spreading in the bones.
There are no treatments left for me to go on.I will go into home hospice care now and will have a hospice nurse visit me at home regularly to ensure I am as comfortable as possible and we will treat the side effects of the treatments I have had.
It's down the final stretch now, and I have run out of treatments, and nature will now take its course.
I hope Newcastle can get many wins this season from now on, and I am at peace with all of this.
Thanks for all your help through the years - it's very much appreciated

Forget our present disagreement..
“Geoff77 whether or not I use paragraphs is irrelevant, I do not have to use paragraphs this is not A-Level English, I am not writing to please you grammatically, you chose to ignore what I wrote simply because you did not agree with it. Whether you read what I am writing, or not is a matter for you, but don’t insult my style of writing simply because you can find no fault in the content of my argument.”
or .. better …

Even if you are writing good quality posts, people won’t read them if you don’t use punctuation or paragraphs.

Comment #43nothing wrong with pardew clebrating when we got the pen. He was completly right. Martin o neil was shouting at the ref when ses got a red saying he was wrong. When he wasn’t sunderland are lucky only 2 people were sent off. When a corner came in a defender was pushing Ba down by his head (yellow) and then hit it off ba’s head with his hand (yellow) we should of had a penalty there and sunderland should of been another man down.
MoN then had the balls to slate AP saying he was complaing too the refs at HT… no he wasn’t. MoN is the one who made a dick of himself by making excuses…
AP cheered when we got the penalty so what all the players do and all the fans do why cant managers? also it was kind of sarcastic too cause he finally gave the pen we should of had a while back.
bragging rights to newcastle again 4points out of 6 again and higher in the table thank you very much.

Comment #45Pardew has done an amazing job this season. I think he is possibly the best English manager behind Floppy Chops (Redknapp). Regardless to who ever buys or scouts the players Pardew has a huge say in which players he wants for the club. Pardew works with the players week in week out he knows them like the back of his hand. In most matches he’s got the tactics spot on. Pardew has tapped into the spirit of the club and the area, you can tell that by the passion he has he desperatly wants to do well for the club, city, supporters and himself. All these mugs calling for Pardews head need a reality check. We are close to champions league quallificaton FFS

Comment #48Daily reader of this site, rare poster. I find it strange how when the team perform well there are less comments on this site than when they perform poorly. I also find it strange that there seems far more negative comments now we are riding high in the prem league chasing a european spot than when we were stuck in the championship. I’m all for passion and it’s every fans right to be critical of their team however it seems some are just critics of the team and not really fans at all. Also, some of the personal insults and name calling between “fans” of the same team is unbelievable. It’s something I would expect between fans of opposing teams, not people on the same side. I used to view reading comments on here as a valuable way to get info on the team, reserves, youth and transfers but now reading through the comments just depresses me. I’ll just stick to reading ed’s posts from now on…

that comment is the best way of descibing what i have been trying to explain today mate.
the managers them guyes want are money grabbers and basically want money to spend, but this owner will always prevent that happening so we can’t get to quality managers like them.
so the should be like us and accept him as he is doing super with such restrictions.

Comment #54i actually quite like daffy. likes to wind us up but is a realist when it comes to his own teams flaws.
i must say without sessegnon i think they’ll really struggle. cattermole is like a back version of Scott parker. runs around like a headless chicken throwing in constant slide tackles (never stays on his feet to make a tackle).
the only difference is timing. Scott parker gets his right 90% of the time. cattermole is about ten minutes late in the tackle 90% of the time

Comment #59I think Pardew realised he’d got caught up in the emotion of the match. Too many of our own players were playing the occasion and not the ball, including ‘I will die on the pitch’ Tiote. Indeed, he did a fair impression when tapped by Sessegnon!
Most of us realise that our team is not blessed with great speed or guile. Once we concede we find it hard to break teams down and are fallible to the counter-attack. We also know that we are not a top four team, but have a chance to finish seventh.
To achieve that we do need a shake-up in formation and personnel.
Next week against Arsenal, we must set up defensively with Ba up-front and go with a five man midfield. Play it tight and see if we can frustrate the Gunners. A long shot I know.
For Norwich, we look at 433 with Ben Arfa starting.
An ugly game today. Hopefully, we can lower the temperature for future derbies.

Comment #60This is the standard of debate now. Whether white space is used to break up the text.
Geoff77 you’re making yourself seem quite pedantic. If you get the time try and wade through the jist of my posts, as hard as that may be
. I wasn’t slagging your point of view, in fact I was quite understanding of where you were coming from. I am using white space now because if there is any of my posts I want you to read it is this.
We are in the best shape we have been since the days of SBR, which is a good 7/8 years, the fact that there are some bloggers here calling for Pardew’s head to roll is quite distressing.
If you want to see my views regarding the potential future of the team then I refer you to the previous thread to the huge unbroken text which had you stumped. This is the last I am going to talk about it because to be fair I am somewhat annoyed you had me resort to using these breaks just so you can read my comments. No one else had that problem so I am being unusually kind here.

Comment #74Have you got what it takes to support Newcastle, Sunderland or Man United? Answer these questions to find out.
I support my team because:
a) I live nearby
b) I live nearby, but wish I didn’t
c) I long for European nights, Wembley finals, lots of media coverage and basically my local team is s***e.
Watching my team:
a) Has its ups and downs
b) is like having a Yo Yo
c) is great on my new TV
It’s costly supporting my team because:
a) The board are greedy B****DS
b) I keep betting on us at the Ladbrokes’ booth
c) Away shirts cost a bloody fortune these days
Since the Taylor Report on Safety at football:
a) The atmosphere has diminished
b) We’re still playing crap
c) I’ve fixed a rope ladder to my bedroom window and bought a seatbelt for my armchair
To see some action in Europe next year:
a) we need to find a back door to go through
b) I’ve booked a Club Med holiday to Majorca
c) I’ll be subscribing to Sky Sports
Paul Scholes:
a) is intensely ugly
b) will never sign for us in a million years
c) is on lots of posters on my bedroom wall
The sort of player who I’d like to see playing for us:
a) would give 100% every match
b) would never sign in a million years
c) will sign if he’s paid enough
Football Violence:
a) is on the decline
b) is what I feel like at a quarter to five
c) is throwing your pizza box at the TV set.
Manchester is:
a) A stinking slum and thank God I don’t live there
b) A stinking slum, but it’s better than our city
c) A wonderful, beautiful place that I’ve never been to
A penalty is usually given:
a) All too frequently against us
b) for a handball or a foul
c) When one of our players falls over near the box
Your team narrowly loses the title to your deadliest rivals in a thriving final league game. Do you:
a) Say “Never mind, there’s always next year”
b) Stone the players coach and cry your eyes out for the next three months
c) Start supporting your deadliest rivals
Your team wins the title. Do you:
a) Celebrate for a week or two then look forward to next season
b) Wake up. Of course it was all a dream.
c) Bore the pants off everyone with comparisons of the Brazil team of 1970
When I die:
a) my ashes will be scattered over our pitch
b) we still won’t have won anything
c) nobody will care
Mainly A’s – You support Newcastle United
Mainly B’s – You support Sunderland
Mainly C’s – We don’t want to know!

Comment #77trying a 4-5-1 might help us more than we think.
All season we have played 4-4-2 and very rarely have we change the starting 11. So if i were arsene i would be sensing that the team will be 4-4-2 and again start with the same team we had started with today so he could get a real shock if we went 4-5-1 and dropped simpson and jonas/cisse and brought on obatan and HBA to start with

Comment #79In my book sorry not a fair result, if fairness is measured in sheer footballing skill terms and not in intimidatory clogging. With more effective set pieces and better conversion by our forwards, they would have been skinned alive by 90 mins today. It wasn’t us who scraped a draw but 5under1and. The proof that they tried to ‘earn’ their win by ‘spirited display’ or ‘gutsy performance’ is in the two red cards they deservedly earned which could have been awarded for so many things today. They can’t do this every game and last the season out because they would have so many players on 3 match bans they would be drafting in serving staff from TGI Friday’s on the A1231 by mid-november every year. Ergo, they weren’t fair, the result was not fair. But it was ‘just’ in that we did not lose.
