An update on my health situation - we have terminated the PluVicto treatment halfway through, because of the severity of the side effects - diarrhea, vomiting, and acid reflux.
And there was no evidence the treatment was having any positive effect in stopping the prostate cancer from spreading in the bones.
There are no treatments left for me to go on.I will go into home hospice care now and will have a hospice nurse visit me at home regularly to ensure I am as comfortable as possible and we will treat the side effects of the treatments I have had.
It's down the final stretch now, and I have run out of treatments, and nature will now take its course.
I hope Newcastle can get many wins this season from now on, and I am at peace with all of this.
Thanks for all your help through the years - it's very much appreciated

Comment #41Even with 11 men, we should be dominating a team like Sunderland, AT HOME! with the players we have. We should be dominating Wolves AT HOME with the players we have. We play so defensive and always get dominated its pathetic. We don’t even play proper football.

Are we even a football club? We can’t even string 2 passes together! Alan Pardew is a bloody disgrace I hope he becomes the next England manager, I hate him so much.
Might as well be called Stokecastle FC. Our whole season we have relied on Demba Ba to put away half chances and when he doesn’t or is off form we are f#cked. I said last week Sunderland would outplay us and ppl laughed at me. Well this is what u get from genius Pardew. Don’t worry, im sure he is warming up Shola Ameobi for the second half…
..You are right on this!!! I think Shola makes a good Sub to Sunderland game as he always does.
AP tatices problem. He dont play passing games unlike unlike fulham 4-0 wolves.
AP did what well with the aftermac (eg.ghalf-time talk, Owner talks, Media talks, Club connection talks, XYZ taks,..He is more of a Reactor then the Motivator.
Why Matin Jol was not appointed?
Defo Not because of CV’s More likely to be WAGES.
Btw BenArfar play well. But not likely to see him on next match. There’s no place for him in this team.
He does not suit the kind of football we play every week.
Andy Carroll is the kind of player we needed for our Manager. Our NO.9 Cisse is not the kind of player we needed. A wrong buy.

We’re 6th, hot on the heels of Chelsea, 5points clear of Liverpool. What exactly are you complaining about? A few weeks ago all of us were stymied as to why Lee Clark was sacked as manager of Huddersfield as they were 4th with a shout of promotion, so surely it would be equally as ludicrous (more so if you ask me) to sack Pardew with us in 6th with a shout at European football. You have a personal grudge against the man and it must sicken you to see us doing so well in the league. If you were any true fan you would set aside such petty nuances and appreciate that the team is doing well. Jail For Ashley, one of my fiercest opponents shall we say has appreciated that while he might not like Ashley he seems to be getting things right, so for the sake of the team put aside your prejudice of Pards and enjoy the sunny period while it lasts 🙂

Mackems were very, very lucky at the end. Simple as that. Your fans are as stupid as Cattermole (for getting red-carded 2 minutes after the final whistle no less).
Piss off back under your rock again. Thanls for the 4 points by the way.
We’ll be back for our usual 6 points next season.

Comment #54Hatem Ben Arfa, still left on the bench of
Magpies at the beginning of match vis-a-
vis Sunderland (1-1), made an entry
concerned thundering. Sufficient to
attract the glance of Laurent Blanc?
By corrode them on the bench of key of
Newcastle , Hatem Ben Arfa does not have
any more nails. Still replacing with the
kickoff of the match against Sunderland,
HBA however entered to the pause to
instigate the play of Magpies, carried out by
of Black Cats quite compact. Hitherto,
Newcastle enquillait the long balloons in
the box. Ben Arfa then made a success of
his mission. Stuck to the right-sided,
touchline, it took along all that one awaited
from him: speed, percussion and genius.
Even if the equalization of Ameobi comes
from the left side, HBA is geared down to
make turn the defense of Sunderland in
she-ass.
Ben Arfa showed himself
In fifteen minutes, it will have gotten not
less than three occasions with blow of
small bridges and swaying dribbles. Only
flat: it was not at ease in the air contacts
and was late on second balloons. But it
incontestably brought fluidity to the play of
Magpies, which stopped Net them kick and
rush to make it shine. As on this action
where the former Marseillais eliminates two
players in the corner from surface and sees
his striking pushed back by the
unfavourable guard (77e). Laurent Blanc
will have inevitably been sensitive there.

Comment #59Klatoon, tbf Shola has only hit double figures in an entire season once! and that was when we were in the championship (extra games+sh1te opposition). Yes he saved us today, but that doesn’t change the fact that his family basically won the lottery when they jumped on the Newcastle flight from Nigeria.

Comment #68Benry – I agree that the tactics in the 1st half were shocking and that there has been numerous games this season where Pardew has got it wrong, Brighton, Liverpool and Fulham to name a few. But when you look at where we are, it’s not down to luck, we have a very small squad that is thread bare at the back and everything changed after Saylor picked up his injury as until then we were flying and had the 3rd best defensive record in the league.
This club has been rife with instability for years and changing the manager now could be even more costly to us

Comment #75don’t the pro pardew supporters think it a little odd that we are 6th and yet no one is really that thrilled. If one person didn’t like the non – football we play every week with the same tired formation and tactics, that’s one thing, but when a whole load of people say it sucks, doesn’t that register at all? Allardyce got bolton 6th once, who was watching, not the bolton fans, that’s for damn sure.

Now that’s an approach that warrants a decent discussion.
I read an article in the telegraph recently, giving a long and slightly “behind the scenes” interview from Alan Pardew.
Long story short, it confirms my thoughts about it.
We’re a work in progress, more players are planned for signing, and several other things have not yet settled on the pitch.
If u watch Simmo today, at times he wasn’t as “lets hoof it” mood like he usually is. Sometimes he tried to play the ball out, but got closed down too easily, so he hoofed it.
Krul hoofed, Willo hoofed it.
Clearly, two of this are targeted to be replaced in the first team place.
Allot of other things there.
I think we’ll see much better next season aswell, no doubt about it.
We’re a work in progress, who obviously WANTS to finish in a European spot, but it’ll be tough. We’re not better than 6-7th, that means we’ll have poor days against more than the top 6-7 teams.

Comment #78Isn’t anyone else angry that we’ve not developed that beautiful passing game we showed signs of around the Villa away game?
HBA benched it seems permanently.
Wingers with no ability to cross or shoot starting every match. Jonas & Raylor.
No CB signed when it was obvious it was a priority?
Cheers for shirt-grabbing Willo starting when he should be 4th choice or on his bike.
Give me a quality manager any day AVB or Pardew lets have a poll Ed?

Comment #79Geoff I must firmly disagree with you, I don’t think he is lucky at all, I think he is a very good manager and he has got us where we are now by being very clever and astute with his tactics. I will admit that there have been certain games where his tactics have not paid off and we have been punished, Wolves last week, 1st half today, Swansea at home etc and we must appreciate that Pardew is only human and will make mistakes from time to time. However, what we must acknowledge is that we do not have world beaters, we do not have superstars, we have hard working players who do it for the cause, defensively we have grafters who lack (apart from Colo) real class. These are things that will be rectified in the summer, we will see an overhaul of players in the summer, especially in defence, and that will see us being truly able to unleash our potential as a top class attacking footballing team. I must say that if this does not happen and we consistently see this brand of football in the long term then I will be asking questions of Pardew’s long term ambition but I believe him when he says that we will see attacking football, it is just right now he needs his more defensive minded players on the wings providing cover for the likes of Simmo and Willo who are getting exposed more and more. My mantra is enjoy what we are doing in the here and now and if it isn’t getting progressively better in the next few seasons then we have more right to ask him what he is doing, but right now he is doing fantastically well.
