As expected, Senegal striker Papiss Cisse returns to the starting line-up this afternoon, as Newcastle take on Norwich City at St. James’ Park.
Danny Guthrie and James Perch are also in the starting line up, and it looks like Danny Simpson passed his fitness test today, but Cheick Tiote has failed his.
James Perch comes in for Davide Santon at left back, where he played in the second half of the Arsenal game and looked solid, and the Italian youngster Santon is given a rest.
Danny Guthrie gets a start, and he looks likely to leave Newcastle in the summer, and he again deputizes for Cheick Tiote in the middle of midfield.
The Newcastle bench is full of youngsters with Haris Vuckic, Mehdi Abeid and Ryan Donaldson, who will leave Newcastle this summer, all on the bench this afternoon.
For Norwich City, striker Grant Holt, who caused so much trouble in our 4-2 defeat at Norwich on December 10th, starts on the bench.
This is another important game for Newcastle, which they will be expected to win if we are to maintain our high position in the Premier League.
