An update on my health situation - we have terminated the PluVicto treatment halfway through, because of the severity of the side effects - diarrhea, vomiting, and acid reflux.
And there was no evidence the treatment was having any positive effect in stopping the prostate cancer from spreading in the bones.
There are no treatments left for me to go on.I will go into home hospice care now and will have a hospice nurse visit me at home regularly to ensure I am as comfortable as possible and we will treat the side effects of the treatments I have had.
It's down the final stretch now, and I have run out of treatments, and nature will now take its course.
I hope Newcastle can get many wins this season from now on, and I am at peace with all of this.
Thanks for all your help through the years - it's very much appreciated
Ed Harrison

Comment #8Repost:
Vital win for us this, hopefully it’ll give us some fire in our belly altho it wasn’t a pretty one.
Lads, we’ve officially improved from last season. We’re 1 point better off than last season with 9 matches to go.
Can’t argue that!

Comment #9Two types of football fan – those who gain more pleasure from gloating and boasting to fellow fans about league position/trophies, than they do the actual spectacle; and those who enjoy the sport, the skill, the entertainment value, above all else – I’m the latter.
That today left me feeling empty.

Comment #10Can’t say anybody was outstanding, everybody lost the ball at times.
I thought Guthrie worked very hard, tried some nice stuff, but just like Tiote not all of came off.

he is proving us wrong clearly and it was just a bad position for him at CB but we must keep him next season because he might not be a starter but he is certainly a good squad player for CDM or FB

Odd statement, so u’d rather have 6-0 victories like last season and play unstable football so u finish 12th, or do u wanna 1-0 like today and get into Europe?

Comment #15Again, we’re 1 point better off than last season, and we’ve kept 10 clean sheets as opposed to the last seasons 8 in total.
Come on lads, and u want Pardews head? Pfff. Forgetting our history once again.

Comment #20playing football like we did today i would acceptable most times, but not when you have defenders like simpson and willo in your team because we have seen games we are ahead, lost alot already with them two in the team. so only 1 goal is not good enough for me until we can change this problem.

Comment #22I suppose if you’re only 12 you have no sense of perspective on the Toon. We are doing really well and improving year on year. It’s hard to go from the Championship and become a top Premier League side in a couple of season – unless you buy it. WE couldn’t afford to do that and maybe no-one will be able to do it in future. So be cheerful. I can’t stand the owner – or SJP being belittled – but he has a plan, and it’s working.

that is rubbish we had 10 million in january so why should we spend that on another striker when we had ba plus HBA- who can play there when we were so short in defence and saw from norwich are no one else is any good.
you are the one who should grow up.
if i wanted to get lots of good player i would support manure

There’s clear things to improve on in our team today.
Those who’s watched West Ham and Southampton under APs tenure say they played good attractive football.
And u can clearly see from Willo today, for example, the reason for some saying we play hoofball.
I will reserve my judgement on AP after yet another season. The team has several new additions in it, almost all foreign, ofc it’s gonna take time. People forget players like Collo and Enrique…

Comment #28perchy was easily mom 4 me n first half the new formation worked well, great goal by wor cisse. second half they changed it n were on top so we changed it n eventually started created chances again, but a wins a win n its took the pressure off that the lower teams were puttin on us. But wat i cant understand is sum of u’s expectin us 2 dominate from start to finish!? i mean have u been nufc supporters 4 long!!? 🙂

That’s a bit harsh on the lad mate. He’s obviously struggling with the pace and physicality of things. He’ll be much better next season imo.
But u’re right, Guthrie was the better man of the two today, and for me MOTM goes to Perch, he did Tiote proud imo.

Comment #32Toonking 1 goal was enough with Willo and Simmo in the team so your point is fairly moot.
And if you’re suggesting that signing Cisse was a bad move then I am afraid you are incredibly wrong.
Willo and Simmo might not be good enough to help us improve long term but at the moment they are Nufc players and as such deserve our backing. The fans who forced Simmo off Twitter are a disgrace and are a minority that are disgracing the good name of Nufc fans worldwide
We won lads so needlessly dissecting the result is pointless, just turn that unmerited frown upside down and smile like the rest of us emotionally sensible people 😀

cabaye will be better next seson as you said The team has several new additions in it, almost all foreign, ofc it’s gonna take time. People forget players like Collo and Enrique… cabaye had a much better start to the season than both of these two i remember. cabaye is still i think trying to get used the intensity needed for the bpl all season he kept up with half of it in his 1 st season in the bpl.

Cabaye is an intelligent player, those types always comes through. They can adjust themselfes, but atm, he’s kinda just chasing the ball and not doing too much with it.
He’ll get there, 100%:

Comment #36i dont know about simmo was a bit cuffufled about santon getting dropped i say bring one of his team mates from the italian league to help him settle here even more. He’s still young and is miles better than enrique on his 1st season and will exceed enrique in times to come

most of us who talk sense won’t be expecting but what we do expect them to do is make a better effort at trying to score the second rather than start sitting back hoping they don’t score. if you know this league well enough you will know that most teams are scoring lots of goals this season.
A good example to look at is liverpool, the reason they are 7th this season is down to lack of goals they score each game.
