Haris Vuckic Out For The Season With Knee Injury

Sky Sports News is reporting that Newcastle central midfielder  Haris Vuckic  is out for the season.

Haris Vuckic – out for the season

That’s according to his  Slovenia Under-21 coach Tomaz Kavcic, and it follows the 19 year-old 6’3″ central midfielder being recalled to Newcastle,  from his loan spell at Cardiff City recently.

Nothing yet from Newcastle on this,  but coach Kavcic had this to say about the top young Slovenian:

“I can confirm that Vukic is out for the season – he injured his knee.”  “What can we do? Nothing, we will have to find a replacement for him.”

“But of course it won’t be easy, he is a great player and a leader of our team.”

There’s only five games to go for Newcastle this season, so hopefully injuries will not be a problem and Haris has already missed the last couple of games with the knee problem.

The next Newcastle game is a week on Saturday against Stoke at St. James’ Park  and we are even hoping that both Cheick Tiote and Danny Guthrie will be fit by then.

Vuckic made 5 appearances for the Newcastle first team this season,  and he also made his full Slovenian debut on 29th February of this year, when he replaced Valter Birsa after 62 minutes in the match with Scotland and looked good.

While at Cardiff  City on loan he appeared five times with one goal for the South Wales side.

Peter I remember that goal you scored against Norwich made me the fan I am today. And you won’t find me making any jokes about you looking like Quasi Modo.

    Who’s more injury prone;

    Harris Vuckic or Danny Guthrie?

    Place your bets!

We need more midfielders too as we can’t rely only on them 2.

Uptheroad – Very good video 🙂

But if I am honest the music got on my nerves especially at the end. Try changing the song after the first one before the long pause or just after which was okay and show both Ben Arfa’s v Blackburn and Tiote’s goal v arsenal not just the celebration apart from that it’s awesome. Well done mate I am sure it’s not easy to do. Sorry if I sound like an asshole but you did say to comment on it.

We need to push this lad into the line up next year. He’s been in the picture awhile now but still hasn’t got the chance he deserved. Same goes to Shane.

Shame, this kid has great talent. Looked very good in the few games he played for us.

Redondo77 – all well and good providing we win as well!!!!! Our destiny is in OUR hands not the london clubs – they have enough problems of their own, worrying about us. I bet old floppychops choked on his cornflakes when he saw we were level with his crumbling outfit lol

As long as we are not 4-4-2 again I believe we can win. I have a feeling that Shola will score the winner.

    Daily Mail:
“Roberto Mancini has decided to offload unhappy winger Adam Johnson at the end of the season.”

This is our chance! Imagine Toon Messi and Toon Bale in One Team! Hope we take him, i rate him much more than Jr.Hoillet. Or we could snap them both?

Is anyone else thinking that this lad has been spending more of his time injured than actually available? No doubt he has talent and potential, but can we really afford to have a player in the squad who won’t be available for much of the season?

    IN:

    Douglas
    Pieters
    van Dijk

Diame (if Tiote is bought for silly money )
Amalfitano (for the future and selling)
Martin/Belhanda (replace guthrie and imrove the team)
Johnson (toon suporter, one of the best wingers in EPL)

    Hoilet (free, direct, pacy)
Rodriguez (youngster with aye for a goal)

    out:

    Forster (would be pitty)
    Loverkrands
    Smith
    Guthrie
Simpson (don’t want him go, but no contract so far)
Best (will not get first team football and be unhappy)

6 out and 8-10 (with new golie) in. Would be class plus your youngsters as a back up or go on loan.

    GK: Krul, Elliot

    RB: Santon, Tavernier, R.Taylor, Perch
CB: S.Taylor, Coloccini, Douglas, Van Dijk
    CB: Williamson, Pieters, Perch, Streete

Great pic showing one of his best assets, a rocket shot! Tayls said Raylor and Best had the hardest shots at NUFC but I believe Vuckic aint that far off them two. And he’s almost always on target unlike Best while Raylors more about placement than power.

If Man City were to offload Johnson, me thinks he wud be too much money and too much wages, plus he wud put fergy, sammy, marveuex down pecking order, wud luv the lad due to his talent but cant see it.

Also the boy has a bit of the english disease for me, enjoys drinking till late, has a lack of desire to improve, lack of professionalism, too much to soon, think he might not fit in, plus he is a local lad, and know he will be distracted by being the big i am. Some decent speculation there but the lads desire has been questioned before. He has great potential though, maybe for 5 million, not likely eh.

Adam Johnson play same position as HBA.
    Hoilett is overated.
Christian Pasquato is better than both of them, he is right footed LW.

I agree,we need a Right footed LW, doing what HBA is doing on the other side provided we get a natural LB in to provide some balance to the team.

ps: Jonas’ days as a winger are truly behind him but he’s got a real future at CM.

Next season is a crucial one for Vuckic. If he doesn’t break into the first team soon he ain’t going to do it at all.
I think he is very injury prone and, I have to say, has never really lit up the place since he has been here.
A big lad with skill but doesn’t dominate a game from either from midfield or playing behind the front two.
With Amalfitano coming in along (probably) with, I suspect, another midfielder (Corgnet perhaps?) to go with all our other current star midfield operators and the emerging Abeid and Ferguson I can’t see Vuckic really making his mark.
But I’d love to be proved wrong.
