Newcastle have been linked today with Colombian winger Juan Pablo Pino, who is currently on the books of Galatasaray.
Juan Pablo Pino – Columbian International winger
In July of 2010, Galatasaray announced that Pino had joined the team on a three-year contract, for a transfer fee of €3M, from French club Monaco, which is around £2.5M.
But last August the new Galatasaray manager Fatih Terim didn’t include him in the squad for the season, and Juan went on loan to Al Nassr FC , which is a Saudi Arabian club based in Riyadh.
It must have been his deodorant.
Apparently the Columbian winger has a €3M release clause in his contract, which is the amount Galatasaray paid for him.
The player turned 25 late last month, and he has been linked previously with a possible move to Manchester United, but will only have one year left on his contract this summer.
Newcastle are said to be watching the situation and have only just been informed of the release contract in the player’s contract, probably by his agent, since they are always looking to make a buck.
Pino can play on either wing and up front as a striker, and in 61 total appearances for Monaco he scored six goals, and he played only 14 times for Galatasaray with 5 goals.
He has a great shot and is said to be a good technical player, but since we’ve never seen him play, it’s hard to know if he’s good enough for Newcastle.
And we should realize that the standards at Newcastle next season will be raised even higher.
He seems to be fairly cheap, but he has played very little in Saudi Arabia this season due to injury.
We suppose Graham Carr will be checking him out, if Newcastle are indeed interested in the Columbian, who has played 3 times for his country with 5 goals.
Comments welcome.

Comment #15We’ll be linked with hundreds of players close season and I’ll no doubt be watching all of the youtube links that get posted about featuring those players. The thing is though we’ll have to wait until wee see our new signings playing for us before we can see them as we will have no idea who we are really after. The club does it’s busuness on the quiet these days and rightly so.
I will enjoy the youtube links of players we are linked with but wont be signing. LOL

Comment #32I’ve given up hope on England winning everything. When we had a good team we didn’t so it’s not happening now. No Alan Shearer or the likes these days. Just Wayne Rooney who racks up half his goals on penalties.
