An update on my health situation - we have terminated the PluVicto treatment halfway through, because of the severity of the side effects - diarrhea, vomiting, and acid reflux.
And there was no evidence the treatment was having any positive effect in stopping the prostate cancer from spreading in the bones.
There are no treatments left for me to go on.I will go into home hospice care now and will have a hospice nurse visit me at home regularly to ensure I am as comfortable as possible and we will treat the side effects of the treatments I have had.
It's down the final stretch now, and I have run out of treatments, and nature will now take its course.
I hope Newcastle can get many wins this season from now on, and I am at peace with all of this.
Thanks for all your help through the years - it's very much appreciated

Comment #6i realised something.. whenever there’s a defensive midfielder in the team, such as Tiote or Perch, it allows Cabaye to roam forward and usually played very well.. his performances suffered only when he’s been put to play with Guthrie. and this new 4-3-3 formation really had us playing beyond beliefs..
champions league? europa league? it doesnt matter.. we’re going to europe! when we only had eyes on being on the top half of the table!

It’s been more like a 4-2-3-1 because Cabaye’s been playing much further forward. Brilliant call by Pardew playing Jonas deep & Cabaye furher forward. The obvious choice is to do the other way round.

Comment #17Cabaye is a complete midfielder. To use an AP phrase ‘it’s no mystery’ that he’s racking up the assists, having a major influence and becoming more of a goal threat, he reached double figures in both categories a few seasons ago with Lille, but then in his final season there, was asked to do a more defensive job and be the sitter, shielding. The beauty is, he can do both.
He’s had the most successful tackles in the PL this season, then he goes and assists like that and guides one into the corner – sheer class!

Makes you laugh when Chelsea are offering £45M for Modric.
Modric may be a little more creative than Cabaye – bearing in mind it’s Cab’s 1st season in the league – but I would 100% honestly take our beautiful Frenchman over Modric every day of the week.

we are such a good TEAM, man u are showing city that a good team beats star players.
guti is such good cover for santon, who is better than most prem wingers, every match ive watched recently no teams got anything out of our left hand side. players meticulously prepared to cover each other defensively is not something we see too often and havent for years at st james’.
we are blessed that teamwork seems to come so naturally to Cisse n Cabaye and the fact than Ben Arfa’s bought into this is the reason we are flying so high.
CANT see anyone leaving, CAN see quality coming in in the summer. bring on europe!!! HWTL

Comment #23No joke, Ben Arfa is a one of the best winger in EPL.. even Walcott doesnt have the technique he has, nani doesnt have the vision he has. Bale cant play in the right and middle like him. Id say HBA,Valencia and Bale amongs the top in EPL.

Comment #25I don’t even think he equals Cabaye in the creativity stakes, TDS.
How many assists has Modric got this season? I bet it’s less than 5. I can’t remember the last time I saw Modric produce such a decisive, slicing pass, or even have a hand in a move, he’s more just a tick-over CM for me, never really comes to the fore; he used to, before the transfer saga that surrounded him.

Comment #26FAU walcott has very lttile technique at all to be fair, buit i said this a few months ago…we have some very good players in our team, but on sheer ability hatem is on a completely different level.
He really is one of those players that dont come around very often and think we just enjoy it while we have it.

Comment #30Stoke had 2 shots on target i believe, Crouchys shot when Perch came on and blocked was classed as on target. Also on Cabaye – People were saying next season he needs to score more often, maybe he reads this blog? 😀

It will be difficult for a new CM to budge Jonas, he fits like a glove in DM, particularly with the younger more spritely Santon marauding up the flank.

Haha, yeah I don’t think Krul had to make a save did he? Perch’s first touch being a decisive block is typical of him lately.

Comment #36I just hope we can keep hold of our players………So many clubs will be looking at 50% of our players, I believe we can afford to let one or two go (from…Gosling, Loverman, Simpson, Guthrie) as they could be replaced by better players for possibly ‘fair’ fees- but the likes of Ba, Cisse, Krul, Cabaye,Ben Arfa, Colo, Santon will ALL be much better players next season. We just need to keep hold of them but we can only do this by keeping them happy ‘EUROPEAN’ football will go a long way, CL would do the trick by itself.
Pardew…..Take a bow my son !

Yeah, Simpson is the same. He put’s himself in real trouble sometimes because he can’t clear with his left.
Smiley
What the fcuk? Is he actually serious? If Walters had scored it would have been from an absolute screamer! What a massive massive knob. Give the other team some credit for once.
Pardew’s
I was thinking that. The were wrestling for the ball and it was a serious mind fcuk.

Comment #38“But the main difference was that they got in good scoring opportunities and hit the target. We had good opportunities and never hit the target.”
Haha you what mate. Probably the funneist post-match interview ive read. We controlled the game so much for 64 minutes then just gave up it was so easy.

Comment #39Brilliant display by the boys from back to front. Excellent team, formation and tactics from Pards who clearly knows how to beat Stoke.
Bringing Perch on was a masterstroke, although Cabaye did have an ankle problem.
HWTL!
Come on QPR – would complete a fantastic weekend, then Manu skin Everton and Europa is ours, and CL is a definite possibility.
WHAT A SEASON.
