Sky Sports Interview With Ba And Cisse – About Those Goals

Here is the Sky Sports interview where Papiss Cisse and Demba Ba talk about Cisse’s two goals last night.

Every Newcastle fan should see this, and Demba Ba acts as the interpreter for his pal Papiss.  It doesn’t seem to us that Demba Ba is too unhappy on Tyneside.

beattie – some more gems –

Gutti vs Blackburn FA Cup (mazy Run plus lovely finish)
Cisse Vs Stoke (Pass of the season, clinical finish after keeping the ball for about 10 minutes)
Ba Vs West Brom (H) Great Free Kick, Top corner beauty.

    My top 3

    Benny vs BlackBurn
    Benny vs Bolton
    Cisse 2nd vs Chelski

@2 Even better seeing Motty’s miserable expression in the background.

He has always clearly shown he doesn’t like us at all

I haven’t commented for a while now but have been following this blog closely and watching all the games on the net.

We’ve got at least two or three candidates for goal of the season, so far…and quite possibly goal of the decade. I’ve watched it now at least 20 times and i still don’t know how Cisse scored from there. It had to be pretty much inch perfect to go over the goalkeepers head and hit the net, especially with that bend on it, from that angle is nothing short of magic.

We’ve had the New Avengers and also New Labour but this is deffo for me the New Entertainers. I’m gobsmacked!

@3 Entirely agree with you, although I don’t think the Blackburn one can win goal of the season as a cup goal can it?

Agree with toastie about the goals. However, in the Telegraph’s goal of the season poll, Ciise#s 2nd goal last night is already so far ahead he’s virtually already won it (btw they didn’t include HBAs Balckburn goal)

    WARNING:
I think people need to STOP making sexual references of any nature including homo-eroticism. People talm bout they having orgasms and shit after the cisse goal and how they want to dry hump his feet. It’s utterly disgusting.

I feel a bit sorry for Demba he didnt look too happy. He must realise the geordies still love him. He is still signing of the season for me.

dmac…what about Elliot? Been a revelation between the sticks 🙂

Joking aside…Ba was signing of the season for the first half of the season, however, not trying to take away from his input in the 2nd half as despite his lack of goals his contribution is still great, surely Cisse with 13 goals in 12 games and his work rate etc has to make him a serious contender?

Ba looks happy celebrating with Cisse above, but didn’t look thrilled at translating for Cisse (mind you Cisse didn’t look too happy either – so maybe shouldn’t read too much in to it)

We have to remember as well with Bas goals in the first half of the season we became a very attractive club to come to, without Ba i don’t think we would have got Cisse.

    Both Magic signings.

Rodney….Agreed. Also without Ba’s goal’s earlier in the season we’d be nowhere near CL qualification. The whole team have got us here, not one player. Such a proud toon supporter 🙂

It also helps the likes of Santon/Perch/Raylor have stood up and been counted in different parts of the season, also we all have a go at Willo because he does have brain farts but some games without him we would have been right in the sh!t.

Great goals, I wonder how Cisse’s English is coming along. He seemed to kind of get the jist of the first question but hopefully he’s learning and will be able to speak well enough for next season.

Anyone else reminded of Roberto Carlos’ audacious strike from the touch line – his was a left foot inswinger, but the swerve on the ball, and the pace were similar. That goal has been replayed for years:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNs4w2k6qNo

Cisse’s strike is right up there with that one – no question the strike of the year.

This season is a total success regardless of our next two results. The hard work starts next season. Maintaining our position as cl contenders and also having a good run in Europe will be difficult without a lot of squad expansion.
I trust in us to do so and become title challengers a in a couple of seasons. Mostly because we won’t sell our best players for anything less than astronomical values. And we will keep them super happy too.

Well it’s highly likely that we do our normal thing and get absolutely sacked by citeh. Whether we do get done over badly,or we take them by the hand to the place we left chelski, I will stand up at the end and applaud the lads and Pards off the field, joined I am in absolutely no doubt by 52,000 others, and countless thousands around the globe. A fantasy land of a season, whatever happens.

I can’t wait for Sunday even though I don’t really care what the result is – mad, isn’t it? 🙂

Just superb that we have 2 great professionals playing for the club, still unbelievable really how both have dovetailed thru the season, Cisse has been unreal and for me is the much better striker, however we are indebted to Ba for his superb early season form and also his spirit and determination in turning his current form around, he was so unlucky yesterday, please let him score sunday.

One thing you cant label of Ba is that he is hiding, he continues to demand the ball even though things are not coming off, he is a super character and efforts should be made to keep him at the club, for me he seems a gud lad to keep at the club, he may have to settle to a little time on the bench next year though.
