Newcastle players will do a lap of honor after tomorrow’s game against Manchester City, to thank their fans for the great support they have given the team this season.
Alan Pardew – lap of honor for fans tomorrow
And wouldn’t it be fitting, if Newcastle can get the win against money bags Manchester City – the best team money can buy.
And we have to hope the home season ends on a better note than last year when out lads conceded 3 goals in the last 30 minutes to surrender a 3-0 lead, and Mike Ashley was livid after the game.
Alan talked about the lap of honor is his press conference yesterday:
“We have a great set of players and we are going to go round that pitch at the end for the fans. As much as we have had a great season, so have our fans.”
“They have been behind us and have not given us a hard time in any home fixture.” “We hope to round off a great day with a win and a walk round the pitch.”
“We never got carried away with a win. We have analysed and gone through why we were beaten.” “The two days after the Wigan game were more important than the performance.”
“We needed honesty in terms of what happened, and how we would put it right.” “The answers we came up with were the reason we won at Chelsea.”
“We put it right. It is very rare to be able to do that.”
We have to remember that tomorrow’s game will be very difficult for Newcastle, and the lads must come out fighting from the very first whistle, and even expect their toughest match of the season.
If the lads can do that and produce something close to their best form, then Newcastle could end their home season at St. James’ Park the way it should end – with the win.
That’s what we are hoping for tomorrow afternoon.
