There’s a really good interview in The Sun today with Newcastle’s number 19, Demba Ba.
Papiss Cisse hits first goal on Wednesday night
And Ba has talked about his Senegal team-mate Papiss Demba Cisse, and that they have almost a telepathic understanding on the field. And it could be that the Demba twins destroy Manchester City this afternoon.
We hope the Demba twins destroy Manchester City this afternoon.
This is what Demba Ba has said about his new strike partner at Newcastle:
“Honestly, it’s no surprise to me.” “He was made for Newcastle He is an exceptional forward and has made it look so easy making the transition into the Premier League.”
“On the first day he arrived we promised one another that we would form a partnership that would strike fear into England and the Premier League defences.”
“And we are keeping our promise. Cisse is scoring goals that even Cristiano Ronaldo would be proud of.” “For me, he is the best strike sensation of the season.”
“I knew we would form a great partnership having played with each other for the Senegal national team.” “We are bringing happiness to a lot of people and that in turn makes us very happy — we can play with a smile on our faces.”
“We almost have a telepathic understanding but we can communicate with words and gestures from our own country that nobody else understands and that is a small advantage over rival defenders.”
Let’s hope both our strikers can get on the score-sheet today, and once Demba Ba scores, there will be a huge roar from the Newcastle crowd.
And come to think of it, there couldn’t be a better start to this game than Demba Ba scoring an early goal. If he can do that then watch out – because he could then go on to score a hat-trick.
By the way that’s something that Papiss Cisse has never done in his career – score a hat-trick – which seems very strange with all the braces he has already scored for Newcastle this year.
Well maybe they’ll both get hat tricks, and we win 6-0 today!
Comments welcome.

One thing I really love is that our team is malleable. There’s no permanent shape.
1. You can have 4-3-3 with Arfa and Ba on either side of Cisse,
2. Cisse and Ba can swap places
3. Arfa will on occasion go to the left.
4 and 5. The formation can turn into a 4-4-2 with Arfa drifting to RM or LM with Gutti on the other wing. (This is two changes, Arfa Rm Gutti Lm or Arfa Lm and Gutti RM)
6, A variation of 4-3-3/4-2-2 with a diamond esque midfield. Ben Arfa playing behind centrally to a front two of Ba and Cisse and infront of Tiote, Cabaye and Gutti/Guthrie.
7. 4-5-1, Both ben arfa and Ba dropping deeper. Arfa will do his best to defend but can become anonimous sometimes. Ba has no qualms about dropping deeper to help defend.

Horrible Man C fans talking for days now and joking about Hatem’s broken leg.
How they “stopped” him already once
That he is sh**ing from the thought of De Jong et.
What A-holes.
12 Tsunki // May 6, 2012 at 9:20 AM
ha ha I’ve noticed that – Cisse is a Brace Monster lol. I’ve noticed something else -hasn’t he been due a ‘perfect’ hat trick a couple of times as well? He seems to score with head and foot or either foot.
13 Oleg G // May 6, 2012 at 9:22 AM
One of the keys today is: The crowd must be 100%, 90+ mins, behind the team. Sometimes it feels like there are 50 people in the stadium and not 50,000. The crowd has to make the Man C players feel out of place, uncomfortable etc.

Its Going to be a Brilliant Day No Matter if We win or Loose The Lads have really done us proud this season. We went out at the start of the season to stay in the league and get as many points as soon as we could’ now look what they have done. This has been remarkable when we look back at last season and the daft things that went on. Crowd back up to 52300 every home game again and tickets are scarce again. We will win something if were not carefull now that would be awsome….
15 Shiremagpies // May 6, 2012 at 9:23 AM
morning guys…. well the weather is holding nicely for what promises to be a really memorable afternoon, had the cans chilling over night, not very often i have an alcoholic breakfast but i think days like this deserve it.

17 jesperfuglsang // May 6, 2012 at 9:27 AM
I hope Ben Arfa and Tiote put them to their place this afternoon
that would be good riddance.

i think city will be trying to contain cisse, but i think the biggest threat will be HBA, i just think this could be his pay back day,,,
and i see obertan is in the squad, but this time i hope he gives marvauxe a run out this time, he looked quality befroe he got injured, im not saying start with him, but give him around 25-25 mins to keep richards busy thinking about defending rather than attacking
19 catchy in norway // May 6, 2012 at 9:31 AM
haha lee dodd
wouldnt it be great to give them a pasting , the only one they get this season,

Come on the toooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnn
22 Tsunki // May 6, 2012 at 9:44 AM
I want us to beat them and Everton but i wouldnt min man u losing their next two as well. If anyone deserves to buy the title this year its citeh lol
23 Tsunki // May 6, 2012 at 9:48 AM
Howard webb doesnt have a great record regarding keeping his eye on shocking dutch tackles does he? Hope he has a good game not like the prat at chelsea who couldnt bring his cards out for a blue shirt but gave tiote a nowt one straight off. Had me yelling that one
24 Indian Magpie // May 6, 2012 at 9:51 AM
If you look at halsey, he rarely gives cards, I was shouting Conspiracy
25 Tsunki // May 6, 2012 at 9:51 AM
Elpaso – its bravado mate. We may well be done by a rampant title chaser but if we do not have hope….
It would warm my heart though if lawro had us down for a loss. I havent looked does anyone know?

On bus into Toon to see the Bobby Robson statue unveiled.
27 Pardew's fist pump // May 6, 2012 at 9:53 AM
Not making any bold predictions today, not after the Wigan debacle.
All I will say is, do our bit, noise! Make Man City metaphorically shrivel up in the corner in the fetal position!
Huge opportunity today, biggest game in over a decade.
28 NotAGhostToon // May 6, 2012 at 9:55 AM
Tsunki of course he’s got us down for a defeat! 2-1 to them he reckons!
Elpaso thats the biggest thing that strikes fear into me! It seems when people start getting over confident we lose. It truly is a trend now, I knew we’d lose to wigan, and today I fear we will do the same. I’m backing that demba ba goal though!
29 CODARM (The poster formely known as Ibizatoon) // May 6, 2012 at 9:55 AM
Can’t remember the score, but Lawro has us down to lose! Sounds like 3 points in the bag

33 Indian Magpie // May 6, 2012 at 10:02 AM
Arsenal were linked with him last summer Serdar tasci
34 Tsunki // May 6, 2012 at 10:02 AM
I see then hes allowed himself the safety of giving us one goal lol
Not OVER confident about today just saying we have the power to do it. Its not like wigan imo we set our stall out for cruise and showed no respect. Not today though.
I am going dark now gotta get my game preps going. I will be happy whatever the outcome but hopefully be on here post match to do a bit of gloating ha ha .

36 magpie6699 // May 6, 2012 at 10:05 AM
Let’s have fun – whatever! Just want us to play well. Obviously scared of Tevez, Aguero, Toure etc who can destroy any team – but let’s give them a game and let’s make some noise!! HWTL!!
37 Spuggy // May 6, 2012 at 10:05 AM
I think the attention Ba had when Cisse arrived allowed him a free reign, not defences have two striker to worry about, not to mention Cabaye and HBA.
I am confident we can score against anyone if we play with our usual intensity.
Today, it’s all about our defence and how solid they can be. Come on Perchino!
38 Spuggy // May 6, 2012 at 10:06 AM
Does anyone else think in Perch we may well have found the FB we all wanted? Maybe just a CB in the summer?
39 TheChippedFifth // May 6, 2012 at 10:06 AM
Cheik Tiote will strike down upon City with great vengeance and furious anger and ALL who attempt to poison and destroy his brothers. And you will know his name is Mr. T when he lays his vengeance upon thee.
40 NotAGhostToon // May 6, 2012 at 10:06 AM
See you after! I’m noivous!
41 magpie6699 // May 6, 2012 at 10:07 AM
If de Jong plays (if that’s the right word to describe his thuggery) hope the crowd gives him hell, Ben Arfa skins him, he scores 2 own goals and is then arrested for being an offensive person in a built-up area. You’ll have gathered that I loathe the man!
42 Indian Magpie // May 6, 2012 at 10:08 AM
I think i speak for every 1, you tube is not the way 2 go
43 nufc786 // May 6, 2012 at 10:09 AM

decent defender u’d say?
44 magpie6699 // May 6, 2012 at 10:09 AM
Spuggy – you’re right. Commentators in the Chelski game were pointing out the value of having 2 strikers playing for each other.
