Tim Krul collected his 3rd cap for Holland last night, and played the whole game against Bulgaria in Amsterdam, as the Dutch were surprisingly beaten 2-1, when they conceded a poor late goal.
A dejected Tim Krul after conceding the winner in stoppage time
The Dutch went ahead jusrt before half-time, when Arsenal’s Robin van Persie put the ball in the net and it was 1-0 at the break.
But then Bulgaria were awarded a rather dubious penalty just five minutes into the second half, and Ivelin Popov easily sent the Newcastle goalkeeper the wrong way from the penalty spot, and scored easily.
And then well into stoppage time, a perfect right wing cross came in from Manolev, and Mitsanski headed the ball home from a narrow angle, to give Bulgaria a famous win against the Dutch.
The Netherlands will play Slovakia on Wednesday night, as they continue their preparations for Euro 2012, and they are a favorite in the tournament, along with World Champions Spain.
Holland are taking three goalkeepers to Euro2012 in their final squad of 23, and they are Tim Krul, Swansea keeper Michel Vorm and Roma goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg.
Bulgaria did not qualify for the finals, and finished bottom of qualifying Group G, which England won with 18 points from their eight games, and finished 6 points above second placed Montenegro.

Yeah you are probably right.
I think Cabaye is definitely a box to box mid through and through. but he does have some great playmaking ability

Comment #129Both played well, was only a friendly, I think Arfa will be used as a Super Sub, Cabaye defo a starter.
Debuchy looks like he has goals in him which we sorely need.

Comment #130I think Arfa is such a different option for managers you’d be foolish not to include him in a 23 man squad. He can win a game on his own. Very useful to have in your Arsenal.

Aye i know Martin said that but if we can sign him, Mbiwa, Debuchy, Hoilett & a young CF surely he’d be tempted to come as Project Pardew would be destined for the top 4 next season

Comment #133I think I’m in love with Debuchy! The main difference between him and Simpson seems to be that while Simpson may do everything expected of him well enough defensively, Debuchy actively seems to make things happen.

He was pretty decent. Not amazing. Really came into it towards end of first half and looked a bit dangerous.
People like Nasri and Gourcuff seemed to completely neglect him at times though.
Worked really well with Debuchy

Comment #154After watching France play, I can say with certainty that Marvin Martin isnt good enough. Why do people keep mentioning his name? He offers surprisingly little.
Also, Giroud is going to be too expensive to sign. How has he not been linked with Chelsea? seems like their type of player. Debuchy’s price tag might keep increasing to the point where he’s not affordable either.
Ben Arfa was being typically Arfa-ish, giving the ball away a few times, then doing a few amazing things, then giving the ball away.

U have only watched him play once, and from that U are judging his ability?? I have watched him play, more than once and I can safely say he DOES offer alot. Not everybody plays well every game mate. That’s why carr watches a player a 100 times, like tiote Cisse etc, and FYI, martin was one of the players on top of carrs recommendations list last summer.. Go figure
