Newcastle Hope To Keep Their Top Players This Summer

There now seems a good chance that Demba Ba will leave Newcastle this summer.

Papiss Cisse – no signs Cisse wants to leave Newcastle

And the news coming out of Newcastle, is that they think Tottenham’s interest in their player is genuine, and if  Spurs bid the release amount of £7M for the player, there’s little they can do to keep him on Tyneside.

Then Newcastle would have to hope that terms couldn’t be agreed with the player, or that he fails his medical at White Hart Lane.

But with Newcastle unable or unwilling (take your pick), to give Demba Ba a new deal, the Senegal striker seems to be the one that Alan Pardew has said could leave Newcastle this summer.

That’s the bad news, but the good news is that Newcastle are confident they can keep both Cheick Tiote and Papiss Cisse at Newcastle, with Cheick already telling his agent he does not want to leave Newcastle.

Papiss Cisse is also tied down to a long term deal, but he also wants to stay at Newcastle according to his representatives,  and that’s hardly surprising given the way the Newcastle fans have taken to their new number 9.

Both Manchester clubs are said to be interested in Cisse, but it would take massive bids to tempt the Magpies into selling either of these two top players.

Losing Demba Ba this summer may be okay, but any other top star leaving would hardly be welcomed by Newcastle fans.

The striker who will probably be brought in to replace Ba, if he leaves, is said to be 21 year-old Dutch International Luuk de Jong, and he would appear to be a good acquisition for Newcastle, if they can get the young prolific goalscorer to Tyneside for a decent fee.

There’s also a good chance that Leon Best could join Peter Lovenkrands in leaving Newcastle this summer, and if that happens, we think Newcastle will want to bring in another striker, but who that would be is a good question.

If Newcastle only lose Demba Ba this summer, that would be good enough we suppose, and then we’d need to bring in say four or five top players to improve the squad for next season, when Newcastle will be back in European competition once again.

What do you think?

Cisse can’t leave anyway because of the 3 player rule. We need to get decent cover for Tiote and Cisse when they go on ACON duty. Luuk de Jong looks like a proven striker who can only improve.

If Ba goes we’ll need 2-3 new forwards. I’d personally go for Giroud and Hoilett and also some young quick lad from Carr’s scouting list.

Demba maybe want tostay, but he is too weak to say NO for “His people”. They will say: “your carier is not going to be very long DEMBA, you have to move, trust us it’s best for you and your familly, we will get cash straight up front and you will still play in EPL, that’s football, newcastle fans will understand your choice, you did your best at NU, they should be thankfull.” And He WILL believe, he trusts them deeply. But i don’t care i think Luuk de Jong and Adam J. would fit in our system along with Marveaux perfectly.

    ———————–Krul—————————

    Debuchy——-S.Taylor—-Colo——–Santon

    ———————-Tiote—————————-

    ————–Cabaye——-Vukcic—————-

    Ben Arfa————Cisse————-Marveaux

    Looks good to me.

    Add
Adam Johnson, Luuk de Jong, Guttierez, New Q CB, CDM or CM, Fergie, Gosling, Obertan, Abeid, Williamson, Raylor, Perch, Best and Shola and it’s quite OK.

To be fair Ed, Ba has said himself that his agent is negociating with Newcastle about a new contract.

Everything else is just his or her say, nothing really to go by.

Ba might leave that is the way football is, but we just dont know. We are speculating because of this clause, which we know nothing about, whether he will stay or not.

I am not worried, but i still dont understand why they put the clause in his contract in the first place.

Stupid is what stupid does to quote one Forrest Gump 😉

Because he is out of our price range for what will effectively be a second striker.

Twente value him at upward of 12million.

We wont pay that mate, just my opinion, and as you may know I like to be realistic.

without Ba, we will play better. we were playing good football with before he played african cup.
after he got back and can’t score, the team only played for him.
if he goes, the team nolonger play for just 1 guy to score a goal.

It wasnt ever going to happen.

P.s Hoillet scores goals and get past players easilly, but it also could be like it was with N’Zongbia – awsome with wigan and almost crap with Villa. But i rate Hoillet quite highy. And i still think Obertan and Gosling could make it. (Look what our coach team made out of guthrie, perch and raylor in such a short time, and Obertan and Gosling are much younger – more potencial.)

Realistically I dont think we will rival anyone of the teams around us last year for transfer targets, its not in the strategic plan of the club.

Also have to factor in that we need to rebuild almost the entire reserve squad with a budget of around 15 mill apparently I just dont see MA adding much more money into the transfer kitty other than the wages that are being freed up and a percentage of the money made

    redondo77
Heskey would be worth 50 mill, better than Neymar

personally im still waiting to see if Rodgers gets appointed at Liverpool. Dont think AC has a future there given his football philosophy and they might let him go at cut-price. Call me sentimental but id get him back…hes a Geordie after all and i dont honestly think he was too keen on leaving in the first place. Also i love me a good ald fashioned power forward. I know its not a popular view among these parts but ill survive i think lol…

A little boy was doing his maths homework.
He said to himself, “Two plus five, the son of a b!tch is seven.
Three plus six, the son of a b!tch is nine…”
His mother heard what he was saying and gasped, “What are you doing?”
The little boy answered, “I’m doing my maths homework, Mom.”
” And this is how your teacher taught you to do it?” the mother asked.
    “Yes,” he answered.
Infuriated, the mother asked the teacher the next day, “What are you teaching my son in maths?”
The teacher replied, “Right now, we are learning addition.”
The mother asked, “And are you teaching them to say two plus two, the Son Of a b!tch is four?”
After the teacher stopped laughing, she answered,

“What I taught them was, two plus two, THE SUM OF WHICH, is four.”

be shocked if we sign Bas Dost! Possibly the least mobile player i’ve ever seen, reminds me a lot of Nikola Zigic! If we were looking at anyone from Herenveen i’d hope it would be Filip Duricic or Luciano Narsingh who pretty much put all those goals for Dost on a plate! Narsingh especially is an immense talent!

Let’s leave transfer market to Carr and Pards and think of planning the next season with resources in hand. Wish Abeid, Marveaux, Ferguson, Obertan, Gosling all get nice game times in the next season. Also, why don’t we plan pre-season friendlies somewhere in Asia (I would love them to come to India though!!)
Good if we go oparticipate in that Vodacom Cup..
