Demba Ba Annoyed At His So Called Representatives

There is news today that Demba Ba is becoming increasingly frustrated with news reports linking him to other clubs, especially in  Turkey.

Demba Ba – wants to stay at Newcastle at least another season

There are many hangers-on around Ba, and some of them are trying to act as his agents, and if they can get a deal done, they will then have a claim to be paid as the agent associated with the deal.

That’s what is behind people touting his name around Europe, and why there seems so many news stories about Ba going around this summer, and it’s also because of that £7M release clause in his contract, and for such a good player, he wouldn’t cost much.

Tottenham, Galatasaray and Fenerbahce have all been linked with the 27 year-old in this summer’s transfer window, and apparently, the release clause states that his reps could earn as much as £3M if they get a deal done for the striker.

We wonder who put that little piece  into his contract at Newcastle? 😀

Ba’s release clause ends on July 31st, and we hope we are not going to have this stuff going on for the next five weeks or so, although we fully expect Alan Pardew to want an answer from Ba on his intentions, and whether he wants to stay at Newcastle.

Sources said to be close to the Senegal International, have told the local press that he has not been pressing for a transfer away from Newcastle, and wants to stay on Tyneside for at least next season.

Ba has just two years left on his deal at Newcastle,  and if he doesn’t sign an extension by next summer, Newcastle would probably want to cash in on him, before he becomes a free agent in the summer of 2014.

It’s probably very true that some of the discussions being initiated by his “agents” do not have Ba’s blessing, but it’s up to Demba Ba to be firm,  and tell the guys to cut it out, if indeed he doesn’t want to move away from Newcastle.

But we also should be getting to hear directly from the player himself very soon, because pre-season starts a week on Thursday, and Alan Pardew should be talking to the player way before that.

Comments welcome.

Easy way to get rid of them Demba. You can’t have it both ways. It’s untenable to go on with this clause so make a choice and move on.

Saw this report earlier and it had no real credibility, no quotes and no names. I can buy into the fact that this isn’t all Demba ba’s doing, however as ed said, his agents are showing him in a bad light and it’s up to Ba to come out and level with us fans. We are loyal to the end, but deserve to know what the real situation is.

Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn’t the agents work for Ba and not the other way around?

And we does he have so many agents?

I can only see this as being Ba’s own fault. I hope Pardew wants answers and repourcutions?

This is not very professional by Ba and his camp. Sort it out Ba.

Did anyone else not see the similarity between Englands performance last night and nufc between November 2011 and march 2012?

Jesper – Yes you are right. However agents ate parasites and as much as they ‘represent’ athletes, their sole reason FOR that is to make money. And should their be these multiple agents as we hear, then it could be a case of too many cooks. But like you said, Tiote, Cissé, cabs, HBA etc have all stated their desire to stay and push into Europe next year, Ba should bypass everybody and make that statement himself, the fact that he hasnt is a worry.

Personally I reckon Demba is waiting to see who we sign before making a decision.
The boy wants to challenge the top and who can blame him.

It’s simple, sign quality, retain qualiy!!

Agreed Beattie. On that note, this ‘fake’ debuchy twitter account is brilliant! He retweets everybody, follows many and when posts like “retweet if you want to sign for arsenal” come up, he instantly replies! Oh dear…!

Ba is not stupid he know if he comes out and states in no uncertain terms that he is staying then 90% of the speculation would go away.

The fact he hasn’t should tell you that he does want to go, maybe not to Turkey but he wants a better contract somewhere and chances are he will get it. I think its bye bye Ba probably in a week or so.
