Newcastle United Foundation Launch Summer School Program

3:54 pm, Tuesday, June 26th, 2012 by Ed Harrison · 51 Comments

Whenever possible we are trying to help out with some publicity for the Newcastle United Foundation, and they have a new series of Summer Schools coming up this summer – if you are a girl or boy, between the ages of 5 and 14, see if you can be one of these four day courses over the summer hols.

Looks like the new Alan Shearer and Peter Beardsley to us!

Here is some good information we have been sent by the Newcastle United Foundation on their upcoming Summer Schools program:

The Newcastle United Foundation is running a series of Summer Schools for football-mad youngsters throughout the school holidays.

Four-day courses will take place in every week of the school holidays at either Complete Football in Gosforth, or Powerleague in North Shields, starting on Monday, 23rd July.

Courses are open to girls and boys of all abilities aged between five and 14, and the price is £42 for four days.

For busy parents the Foundation can provide an early drop off and late collection service for an extra £8.

As well as the four-day courses the Foundation are also running Perfect Your Position Fun Days every Friday for budding strikers.

For a complete list of dates and venues contact the Foundation by emailing foundation@nufc.co.uk

Can crabs join? Statistically better than the statistically best RB in the PL last season :)

Hmmm, a summer school programme? I can think of at least 1 blogger who needs some education.

G….Perhaps we should send Willo and Simmo there. It’s about their standard :)

  • 6 G // Jun 26, 2012 at 4:03 PM

Not naming and shaming, as I am a changed man these days. As for sending Willo and Simmo, I think social services may have to get involved as it states 5-14 year olds in the story (Gives me a wonderful mental image of a 4 year old child being slide-tackled studs up by a 15 year old!)

St James park on Fifa 13 cover with messi on it?
Does this mean we are going have a 5 star team with cabaye being as highly rated as xavi and ben arfa being as good as messi?

Still haven’t finished my career mode on FIFA 12, In the year 2022 with NUFC for the 2nd time.

  • 23 lukes26 // Jun 26, 2012 at 4:50 PM

so, with chelsea & arsenal being big spenders in the transfer market thus far, I think theyve both secured top 4 finishes.

I think top four next season are:

    1. Manchester City …need a CB and FW
    2. Chelsea…added marin, hazard, and presumably hulk
    3. Arsenal ..added podolski, Giroud, and possibly mvila
    4. Man U…injuries to rooney and nani would lead to disaster…i almost feel Im being generous putting them at 4th

  • 24 yorkshireToon // Jun 26, 2012 at 4:50 PM

Being reported on twitter that we’ve signed Curtis good for 386k or do you all know and I’m behind?

  • 25 jesperfuglsang // Jun 26, 2012 at 4:51 PM

    super magpie

What jersey is Messi wearing on the Fifa 12 cover? I am gonna be pissed if it’s a Barca jersey with his transfer to NUFC still pending ;) lol

  • 26 JAMSHA // Jun 26, 2012 at 4:54 PM

    Fifa 13 rateng
    Krul – 82
    Simo – 78
    Willo – 76
    Colo – 83
    Santo – 79
    Percho – 75
    Arfa – 80
    Cabaye – 85
    Tiote – 84
    Marvo – 78
    Ba – 83
    Cisse – 85
    Fergi – 70.

  • 27 super magpie // Jun 26, 2012 at 4:55 PM

Man u to finish 4th? You must be mad!!!!

They missed vidic and will finish atleast 2nd next season.
Chelsea and arsenal will battle for 3rd and 4th while us, spurs and maybe Liverpool will try for 5th ( hopefully) .

  • 28 super magpie // Jun 26, 2012 at 4:58 PM

    Jesper

Unfortunately he’s wearing a Barca top, but there’s secretly a NUFC top under the Barca one. :)

  • 29 Ibizatoon - Back by popular demand // Jun 26, 2012 at 5:00 PM

Big Pappa…..I love to call you big pappa :)

Super Mag….Probably not, no. Should get some decent ratings though, ratings that reflect the talent within our squad.

  • 30 yorkshireToon // Jun 26, 2012 at 5:01 PM

I am actually itk for once however small the info I have is. My boss at work (woman) used to well.. Not go out but dabble on occasion with Jacob butterfield and he’s told her that he’s had trials with us? Don’t know if that means he’s been up at Benton and trained however he said he wants 1st team football and doesn’t want to sit on a bench and he told her he’ll more than likely stay with barnesly

  • 31 Oldgit1 // Jun 26, 2012 at 5:03 PM

Looks like something is happening at NUFC, ashleys helicopter has just passed my house, normally he passes on a wed/thurs. Hope its a signing fed up with the rumours.

  • 32 super magpie // Jun 26, 2012 at 5:05 PM

    Jamsha

But unrealistic ratings there, why would ba go from 82-83 if he hasn’t scored since the last update? Simpson should be no more than 75 and marveux will go down because he hasn’t played that much.

    Krul- 81
    Simpson 75
    Debuchy ( here or not) – 81
    Colo 82
Saylor 77 ( injured most of the season)
    Santon 78
    Cabaye 83
Tiote 79 ( only played half of our games)
    Jonas 78
    HBA 80
    Cisse 82
    Ba 79

    Subs-

    Elliot 65
    Raylor – 74
    Perch 74
    Willo 75
    Obertan 72
    Amalifitano no Idea
Luuk de Jong 79 ( here or not)
    Shola 99 :) :) :)

Tbh it’s only FIFA ratings, if I dont like them I can move them up and down anyway

  • 33 Big Pappa Cisse // Jun 26, 2012 at 5:06 PM

Still think Arsenal’s defence and midfield is questionable like, I think next season’s top 8 will be

    1.Man City
    2.Man United
    3.Chelsea
    4.Arsenal
    5.Spurs
    6.Us
    7.Liverpool
    8.Everton

  • 34 super magpie // Jun 26, 2012 at 5:10 PM

Yeah any my brothers Dutch mates know Luuk de Jongs long lost auntie and says he won’t come here unless Ashley gets on his knees and begs.

  • 35 Indian Magpie // Jun 26, 2012 at 5:10 PM

    Jamsha how r u mate

  • 36 JackNUFC // Jun 26, 2012 at 5:14 PM

What I Think Fifa will rate our players

    Krul 80
    Simmo 75
    Taylor 77
    Colo 82
    Santon 78
    HBA 81
    Cabaye 82
    Tiote 80
    Jonas 78
    Ba 82
    Cisse 83

    They Should be

    Krul 82
    Simmo 75
    Taylor 79
    Colo 82
    Santon 78
    HBA 82
    Cabaye 84
    Tiote 82
    Jonas 78
    Ba 83
    Cisse 85

  • 37 Ibizatoon - Back by popular demand // Jun 26, 2012 at 5:15 PM

Super Magpie…I heard a similar rumour too….except there was a different ending once he was on his knees?!?!?

  • 38 toonarmydownsouth // Jun 26, 2012 at 5:16 PM

Think your all forgetting that fifa hate us enrique n carroll were rated 75 n 71 for us then they signed for the bindippers n became 80+!!!

  • 39 JAMSHA // Jun 26, 2012 at 5:18 PM

M cursed with my both phones an sim card . U say indian :’(

  • 40 Big Pappa Cisse // Jun 26, 2012 at 5:19 PM

I heard Ashley took the pearl necklace like a champ, all for a contract that was a pound a week less

  • 41 toonarmydownsouth // Jun 26, 2012 at 5:20 PM

I heard de jong wont come because ketsbia is still hassling pards to sign giroud even though he has signed for arsenal ketsbia refuses to believe its official until the 1st and theres still time to hijack the move!

  • 42 Ibizatoon - Back by popular demand // Jun 26, 2012 at 5:23 PM

I heard De Jong wont sign until Ketsbaia is the Newcastle manager. Apparently Ashley is loathed to sign him up as his transfer kitty request is a tad….how do I put this…unrealistic?

  • 43 estechco // Jun 26, 2012 at 5:26 PM

I gather MA is down to 3rd in the league table of most hated Ashley’s in English football

  • 44 JAMSHA // Jun 26, 2012 at 5:26 PM

    Tooarmy…..
Agree but with sjp on the covers we expect our players to hav higher rateng. + hope the whole squad has real faces.

  • 45 Ibizatoon - Back by popular demand // Jun 26, 2012 at 5:28 PM

Jamsha…I’m not sure that’s how ratings work :)

I hope we get proper faces on players though…..with a realistic dreamboat running around, I won’t be able to get off the bloody ps3!

  • 46 josh // Jun 26, 2012 at 5:30 PM

Where’s ketabia to explain to us why they shouldn’t be doing certain curriculums and why they need better books etc.

  • 47 josh // Jun 26, 2012 at 5:32 PM

@ myself. Before anyone answers that question I’m fully aware there will be no books etc as its obviously football school but for the purposes of potential ironic comedy im prepared to roll with it.

  • 48 toonarmydownsouth // Jun 26, 2012 at 5:33 PM

Defo ibiza cabaye was an ugly cnut in fifa 12!!

  • 49 Ibizatoon - Back by popular demand // Jun 26, 2012 at 5:36 PM

tads….barely made me twitch….Ok ok, enough. I apologise. Too far.

  • 50 conaldo // Jun 26, 2012 at 5:36 PM

The top two probably won’t change this year. United and City don’t know what order. The 3rd and 4th places are tough to call. Can’t see tottenham getting higher than 5th. Chelski and Arsenal are both going to spend as much as they can to get into the top 4. Think arsenal may probably go for one of the cups this year to end their trophy drought. They will probs put a stronger squad than usual in the F.A cup. Liverpool surely can’t get any worse than last season so can see them push for top 5. A team like fulham or everton could make a surprise push into the European spots.
And Newcastle you ask? I personally would be over the moon with a top 7/8 (guarantee Europa league for next season), to get into the group stages of the Europa league and have a good go at it. And to finally get a good cup run in the FA or Capital one cup. No reason why we can’t get to the finals or at least semi finals. Oh, and finish above Liverpool and the mackems obviously
