There are reports coming out of Turkey that Newcastle could be playing the Instanbul based Turkey club, Fenerbahce, in pre-season.
Linked with the reports of the game with Fenerbahce are that another possible match will be with with Polish side Wisla Krakow – and both games would be played in Vienna, the capital of Austria.
Newcastle have only so far announced three games as part of their pre-season, plus a game against Gateshead, where they will send a Newcastle eleven to play at the International Stadium.

But Monaco and FC Chemnitzer have previously announced they will also be playing Newcastle in pre-season too, so we expect an announcement from Newcastle on their full pre-season schedule fairly shortly, once the full pre-season schedule is worked out:
- July 13 – Friday – Chemnitzer FC at the Stadion an der Gellertstraße
- July 16 – Monday – AS Monaco at Landsberg am Lech
Landsberg am Lech is a town in southwest Bavaria, Germany and Monaco will be playing other games at that time in Germany.
We would expect these two games, if the reports are true, to be positioned after the two games in Germany and before Newcastle play in the Algarve tournament in Faro, Poutugal staring on 27th July.
Comments welcome.

Haha cheeky sod. I was just reliving the good old save Besty day
Good luck to the bloke I met him once seemed a sound lad. On the pitch he gave his all and, imo, added a lot to Ba’s early season run
Hope he brings success to Blackburn if he does end up there

Marveaux will have his groin constantly groped.
Xisco will be the fittest player there but mistaken for a cleaner.
Santon will be in tears after last nights result and the fact that Italy only choose 1 under 23 player, the rest being between 35-50.
Perchinho will be in mardid sorting out his contract with Moutinho.
Raylor will be covering for hatem, Papiss, krul and Cabaye in an attempt to show his flexibility.
Fergie will still be deciding whether to play for the republic or northern Ireland.
Harper will be collecting his pension.
Elliot will still be pinching himself to make sure he isn’t dreaming.
Saylor will have put his tom-tom onto Japanese and will end up in Cowdenbeath.
Shola will be gaffer tapes to Indian magpies sink.
Sammy will be getting confused with shola.
Abied will be taking a Geordie speaking for beginners class.
And finally Pardew will be trying to get his car over the line.

Comment #48Yo….Very sad, but that is the nature of the PL and what happens if you let your club free fall.
Beattie…. 🙂 Sounds like a typical pre season then

Comment #50Look on the bright side lads….if it had all gone pear shaped a few years ago we could have been like Rangers….three first team players turned up for training and probably then two divisions lower than SPL. Company has already put the ground, Murray Park and all other property assets under another company name…

Comment #54Great move for the Mackems signing a Rangers reject who spent most of last season injured. Cuellar will fit right in with Bramble the rap!st and john o’sh!t. Cissie is going to muller them next season.

Comment #56Ibiza. I forgot the mighty Shola is worth a few goals against the great unwashed. Plus we always have Raylor’s “over the wall” exploits.
I am itching to get this new season underway. Missed the last 2 seasons working abroad but, now im back, i have my season ticket sorted (Strawberry corner, 4 rows from pitch side) and waiting for the new Home shirt to come out.

Comment #57Balotellis agent has said that hes the first player to be worth £200m… what a pile of sh!te, I like balotelli but in fairness hes not even the best player at city. Get real like, he’s got about as much consistancy as a tampon, does the job once a month

Comment #58Pieceofpapiss….I hope it’s as good as last season for you (well, for all us) 🙂
Plain Saylor…..Regardless of whether he is or isn’t worth that, there is definitely one player who he doesn’t come near and that is Messi.
Young, well rounded professional and bags of talent. Has to be the most highly valued player in the world

Comment #59Everyone knows messi’s way out of balotellis league so’s ronaldo and imo at least 30 other players. Not jumpin on the pick on balotelli bandwagon atal, I enjoy him and would hate him to leave the epl if he sorted his head out he could be one of the greats. Does anyone see that tho?

Comment #60We need to be in a place where we believe that we can challenge for the top 4 at the start of the season. We have an excellent young squad at the moment and a few quality signings will transform us. I think Alan knows this as well.
Disappointed to see Best leaving, however, it will be forgotten if we bag a couple of strikers.
I also think that Paul Scharner would be a good signing. He’s versatile and is a goal threat. I’d take him on a 2-3 year contract. Get rid of Williamson for £750k and then bag Paul on a free. He is 10 times better and Alan said that he wanted a goalscoring defender.

Comment #62Yeah, I’d personally go for Vertonghen and Scharner. Douglas might be ok but Jan has a tremendous shot on him.
