Newcastle will play Monaco tonight in Landsberg am Lech, Germany, with a 7:00 pm local time kick-off, and we expect the Newcastle manager to put out a stronger side out to play the French second division side, than the team that played against Chemnitzer FC on Friday night.
Alan Pardew – will play stronger eleven tonight
Monaco were relegated in May of 2011 from the french first division, and they will be hoping to make their way back into France’s top league in the coming season.
They appointed former Napoli, Florentino, Atletico Madrid, Chelsea, Valencia, Juventus and Roma manager Claudio Ranieri in the summer, and they will be hoping the much traveled Italian is the one who can take them back up where they belong, in the coming season.
This is the 14th club the 60 year-old Ranieri has managed, since he started his coaching career way back in 1986 at Vigor Lamezia, and Alan Pardew has talked this morning that this game will be harder that the one on Friday evening:
“We have a harder game coming up so we will play a more experienced side. We played a young side but nobody did themselves anything but favors.”
“Romain played the full game and Gael Bigirimana got 20 minutes. It was our first real look at them and for the fans too. They are settling in well.”
“We are exactly where we should be at this stage of the season.” “The fans made a long journey. It is amazing to see them this far out here.”
“We had a few German-based fans and it is nice to see that we have friends here too.”
There are Newcastle fans all over the place and with another good season coming up, hopefully, Newcastle will be on its way to again becoming one of the most popular Premier League clubs around the world.
It seems that Pardew was pleased with the performances of some of the youngsters on Friday night, and of course this will be a huge season for a lot of them, since they will see more playing time than last season, with Newcastle hopefully making the group stages of the Europa League in August.
It should be a good game tonight, and we’ll see just which players Alan will give a run-out too this evening.
