Hotdog i do rate marveux i just see him more of a clever ball using cm type of player than a flying winger.i see him coming off the bench a lot this season

I just think he can create more than guti which will give him the nod, we will find out soon enough.

I though id take a quick look at our squad in the 09/10 season and we have made giant strides not just in the first 11 but the squad depth. take a look fitz hall, marlon harewood and the like wow

Ye he prob will create more Hotdog but if we play a 442 pards loves guti defensive qualities and workrate so he will almost certainly start ahead of him.

Santon’s challenge on the stewart was quality!

Cisse, Sammy & Abeid looked very good when they all came on. Tiote & Bigirimana both look so composed in that CDM spot with their tackles and decisive balls. Marveaux & Gosling as well looked good also looked defensively strong. Everyone looked good bar a couple who i’ll highlight bellow.

On a sour note, Vuckic doesn’t look very natural up top so probably better adjusted to playing in CAM (he should have been the one dropping back to get the ball and then setting up Ba rather than the otherway round), Obertan as well proved mistake prone but I think he is off it as a winger and should play more centrally. Elliot as well looks like he needs a good loan so he can come back at the end of the season when Harps retires to become 2nd choice behind Kruly boy.

Only a pre-season friendly but you can already see out of the youngsters will be challenging the 1st team & who will be playing cup & development games.

It was Abeid & CISSE (not Ba) and yeah they probably mockingly smoking a hookah as Big Pappa Cisse says. Lots of my Muslim mates smoke sheishka all the time so calm down i think they were doing it jokingly (maybe a jab at old Balotelli).

I remember a few games last season were obertan showed blistering pace however I’ve never seen a player who reacts so badly to confidence

Obertan looked very poor as usual. Carried on from last season. Either way, he is a good player for depth. We should keep him. Better used as an impact sub as his pace gives defenders something to think about and alter game plan.

Vuckic still has a long way to go before he is ready for the first team. A loan seems like the best option for Vuckic now as his development seemed to have stalled. Even Abeid now looks more at home around the senior players than him.

A couple of more players with real quality and we are just about ready for the season. HWTL,

I honestly think Obertan does have the skills but his attitude stinks, a player jogged past him, he turned, ran about 5 yards and just stopped dead

Impressed by Bigirimana so far…seems calm and decisive in the mudfield for a player his age new to a big club. Only eighteen and you can tell by his size….give him 3 years to grow into his body and could be one of those gems that Carr and Pards seem fit to bring in as of late.

Bring on the season and the Europa draw…still think we get out of the transfer season without losing any of a core players,,,makes a Champions League place a must…don’t want those players looking elsewhere.
