Beach Boy Carroll To Join Up With Liverpool Squad Tomorrow

Andy Carroll will be flying out to join up with the Liverpool squad in Boston tomorrow, as there seems to have been little or no progress made with any deal Newcastle are trying to make, to bring the local striker back to Tyneside.

Andy Carroll –  Baywatch beach boy in Brazil

Liverpool finished with a 1-1 draw yesterday in their first pre-season game  at FC Toronto, a club that John Carver used to managed for a year from 2008, and they had to thank Academy youngster Adam Morgan for the equalizer, after Toronto had gone ahead early in the second half.

Andy is currently on holiday in Rio de Janeiro with his girlfriend Stacey,  but is expected in Boston tomorrow to join up with the rest of the Liverpool squad, and of course Andy has had a little time off after playing well for England in the Euro 2012 tournament.

There is huge uncertainty about where Andy’s future lies, but somehow we don’t think it will be at Liverpool, but it appears that Newcastle are willing to wait for Andy, as the summer transfer window goes on.

We’l have to see if any big offers come in for the 6’3″ striker from other clubs than Newcastle, but no club is likely to bid what Liverpool want for the Geordie striker, which is said to be £20M.

But there are still clubs around these days of course, who seem to have more money than sense, so we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.

Andy Carroll on beach with girlfriend Stacey – is that Tynemouth?

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has said that he will not loan out Carroll to any club for next season, but if Andy is still around at Liverpool in late August,  that could become the best option for Liverpool, to at least have some other club help pay some of his massive £75K/week wages.

Newcastle are very savvy (and good) in the transfer market, so it’s an open question as to where Andy Carroll will end up, come September 1st.

West Ham and Fulham are said to be interested, with even Tottenham linked with the player in some stories today.

Where is Nile ranger? I know he has been a nightmare but the kid has so much potential. If he has been left at home then i guess we will try permenantly ship him out.

We don’t need him any more sadly as the 8+ goals we will get from Scharner will be more than enough backup, plus we get a world class defender to boot. You had your chance Andy.

I say we just go for a Quick young striker.

    F*** Carroll.

Plus theres no way he’s worth what Liverpool are looking.

Still think we’d be better off signing a Sturridge/Loic Remy type forward than AC.

Agree here that we’d be better spending cash on Adam Johnson.
Also we’d be better spending cash on a fast tricky striker

Buy Andy and we have a striker for ten years. He’s not going to move away again.
With his best years ahead of him.

Dividing any transfer fee by ten gives a better perspective.

    Shola isn’t getting any younger.
We need a big striker who can be a target. Ideal if we’re losing, seeing out a game or adapting our style for certain teams.

AJ – great player but how many wingers do we need?
If we can afford to replace Obertan this window, sure.

If not we need a CB, FB’s and two strikers.
