Russian Club Comes In For Demba Ba – Hard To Believe

You could almost have guessed that with only 7 days to go until Demba Ba’s release clause of £7M becomes inactive, there would be news that some club would come in and trigger the release clause.

Demba Ba – Rubin Kazan have triggered release clause?
So we are very dubious about whether this news is indeed true – the news is being reported by Radio Sport, that Russian Premier League club Rubin Kazan have triggered the release clause of Ba’s contract.

But the timing of this also seems odd, and if a club was really interested in the player, why would they leave it this late, and maybe let some other club come in and beat them to it?

But if the release clause has been activated, , the next step would be to discuss personal terms directly with the player.

But it’s another matter whether Demba Ba would want to leave Newcastle, because the Tyneside club are progressing very nicely, and are in the Europa league this season.

And would Ba really want to join a club in Russia, and yes,  Newcastle’s weather may not be very good, but it’s warmer than Russia in winter, that’s for sure.

And we really doubt that Demba Ba would want to sign a new deal that takes him to Russia, and we just have to believe that Newcastle have already discussed a potential new contract with the Senegal striker, should he still be at Newcastle – when August rolls around.

There is accompanying news that one of Ba’s would be agents (that means he isn’t one) is trying to do a deal for Demba with the Russian club, without Demba Ba being aware of it, and that wouldn’t be the first time this has happened this summer.

The supposed agent is said to be Saif Rubie from Future Gen Sports.

It’s hard for us to believe this story has much truth to it, and as we said earlier, you could have almost bet there would be a number of these before a week tomorrow, when the release clause becomes inactive..

We’ve just got to hope that any more of these are as false as this one seems to be.

What do you think?

if Demba Ba goes to Russia at least he won’t understand the names the fans will be calling him. its like the UK in the 70’s & 80’s he would find racism’s gone to a new level in Russia

On a serious note about this; the racism that seems to be endemic on Russian football will pit an end to this rumour even if it does turn out to be true, which I truly doubt.

I wouldn’t be too bothered if we did sell him as kets has convinced me we will get Scharner and that he will score 20 goals this season.

    Enjoy your tea Ed,
    Starbucks is great.
This is a non story,we’re all hoping he won’t go anywhere til at least next year.
If he has a good season it could heat up for a move to Psg but then we would get decent money for him so that’d be fine

Kazan aren’t a CL side so can’t activate the clause also this rumour has no backing as Newcastle made it clear today they’ve had no contact about Ba.

Journos have always got to take a negative stance because apparently it is impossible to have a squad with 3 top CFs in it. If we signed Remy or Carroll it doesn’t mean Ba is gone as every top team needs atleast 3 top CFs.

If we sign Remy though (unlikely) my dick will explode!

People, there is a big chance BA could go for that money no doubt about it, he will get hefty wages as well, money talks we all know and i still feel BA is not comfortable with the wide left position at the toon, papiss and ba have zero telepathy between them no assists to each other and not one pass completed inside the box, quite staggering really, thats official stats.

    Ba! Humbug!

Its like no-news July isn’t it? Is there a park bench being repainted? Someone submerged in a bath of pineapple chunks in protest at baggage handling inadequacies at Stanstead?

I have commented, now I leave. Goodnight.

Rubin’s a dodgy club. I read that due to political and cultural instability in the area, their squad actually trains and lives in Moscow and flies in for their home matches, ahah.

That said, they’re filthy rich. I thought China was the new en-vogue destination for footballers looking for a pay-day, though!

off the topic, but i dont get ppl who ar in favor to sign sturridge.. he doesnt pass & he wants to play in the center.. he will probably be a good player one day…but hes not there yet… he should go to a club which plays with 1 striker…here hed just complain why cisse & ba play as CFs..

as for carroll deal..i dont really him judas or what ever…but with the money we got from him we improved our squad drastically..& if we do sign him…he probably isnt stupid enough to make the same mistake wed have a striker for the next 10 years..

babel – i rate him as high as obertan..marveaux way better..

remy..that would be an interesting signing..

debuchy…hope he comes..considering this deal will make cabaye happy & will make him stay here for several say debuchys worth 10 mio to us

    good night=)

Gte a query. how come when we’re linked with a player its mostly “imagine him in our team” or “i hope this is true” or “get in he’s immense” but when a player we don’t wanna lose is linked with a move away its mostly “bs. He won’t leave. Total non story”?

Maybe a club has come in for him, but it’s very unlikely that he’ll go now. It’s not as if countless other clubs won’t have come in and tried to activate it since redknapp let everyone know about it so there must be a reason he’s still here.

Funny how this clause has so many convenient mini clauses within it.
95% of all stories on this clause are bullshit. I guarantee it.

@shearer260 could be any number of reasons.
    A) big clubs don’t think he’s grid enough
    B) still a risk with that knee
    C) wage demands
    D) he’s happy here
    E) clause might not be as reported
    etc. Etc. Etc.
    Anything could be true.

There are no more barriers to cross. All I have in common with the uncontrollable and the insane. The vicious and the evil. All the mayhem I have caused and my utter indifference toward it I have now surpassed. My pain is constant and sharp. And I do not hope for a better world for anyone. In fact I want my pain to be inflicted on others. I want no one to escape. But even after admitting this there is no catharsis. My punishment continues to elude me and I gain no deeper knowledge of myself. No new knowledge can be extracted from my telling.

    This confession has meant nothing.

Yeah, I prefer the movie, purely for the fact I think the author goes overboard to get his point across with regards to the materialist facades, there’s literally pages of just description of all different branded items in the book.

Won’t go into the gory scenes in the book, too extreme to put into the film, not for the fainthearted. 😛

    Love a dark comedy.

Right, beddy-byes! Lets hope there’s something to get our teeth into tomorrow, or I’ll just end up sporadically, incoherently waffling again.

I really hope we up our interest in Remy, dont think we will though but he would be an amazing signing for us, I’ve watched him for ages and i’ve always says I would love him here he can play as a striker or a winger or as a link up.. Could easily get 15+ per season plus many assists.. £14million you really cannot go wrong!!
