An Evening With Pardew And Carver – Here’s Your Chance!

We’re always very happy to help the Newcastle Foundation with some of the publicity for their social events coming up, and there’s a really special event coming up in the week before the Premier League season begins on 18th August when we play Tottenham at home, for our first three points of the season.

Carver and Pardew – a great partnership for Newcastle!

Here’s a chance for you to meet Alan Pardew and John Carver, and share a drink with them on Monday 13th August from 7:00 pm in the Bamburgh suite at St. James Park – and then ask them some questions – in that order.

Here is the official press release put out by the Newcastle Foundation:

An Evening With Pardew And Carver

Magpies fans can share a drink with manager Alan Pardew and first-team coach John Carver and put questions to them next month.

The Newcastle United Foundation will host ‘An evening with Alan Pardew and John Carver’ in the Bamburgh Suite at the Sports Direct Arena on Monday, 13th August from 7pm.

BBC Newcastle’s Mick Lowes will compere the event, giving supporters the chance to talk to them about the coming season with all money raised going to the club’s official charity, which works with 37,000 youngsters and families every year to encourage learning and healthy eating by using their passion for football.

Tickets are priced between £22 and £32, including food and drink, and are on sale now. There will also be a raffle and an auction on the evening, with some exciting items expected.

This is what  Mick Lowes said about the event:.

“Alan and John have both been in my studio a few times in recent months, but this will be a great chance for fans to ask them questions directly,”

“The pair of them work well together both on and off the pitch, and I’m sure nobody will be disappointed with the banter and insight they’ll provide on the night. I’m looking forward to it already.”

Tickets can be bought online here.

=====================

We should have most of our transfer targets in by then – yeah right – but maybe a few whiskies and Alan or John or both will open up a bit – and then let me know who we are really going after – I’m sick of all this guessing. 😀

The event is actually two weeks come Monday,  so it’s not too far away, and we should have won our remaining four pre-season friendly  games by then.

But it really does seem a great night for Newcastle fans, and of course both Alan and John are great with the media, and they are both down to earth guys and tell it as they see it, and they’ve done a magnificent job on Tyneside – so far.

Comments always welcome.

Am i the only one thinking we’ll sign a player that’ll make everybody on here go “we signed him? I didn’t know we were in for him.”?

Pards never seems to play Sammy up front , I honestly would leave the other striker and just use Sammy this season – get some more meat on him and he could be a monster in the air with great feet , ha ha the new Drogba!

James dont know how any1 can question bas attitude but support someone whos a wife beating thug funny things morals, also ppl keep saying ba is a mercenary but andy just made a mistake? And as for dembas knee he hasnt missed a single game through injury in fact over the last 3 years andy carroll has been the one carrying a consitant thigh injury, dembas knee is to do with cartilage deteriation same as ledley king and he played with no cartilage for almost 8 seasons

I am sick of hearing about this so called time-bomb in Ba’s knee like, Is it anymore of a time-bomb than a player getting their leg broken or collapsing from a heart attack. He played near enough a full season last year plus the African cup of nations and was never injured once. And I would have him over Carroll any day of the week

Well, bad knee or no bad knee , I’d still have Carroll all day , I was referring to Ba being a bit of a sulk , throws his toys out the pram – but I can understand Carroll can be a prick also al a Taylor’s jaw , seems to have kept his nose clean at pool though

James…He kept his kit pretty clean at ‘pool as well. Wouldn’t hear too many stories about someone who doesn’t really play 🙂

The question of Ba vs Carroll is a tough one for me. Both have scored good quality and quantity of goals for the toon. Carroll obviously has time on his side.

If we’re talking loyalty…well, Carroll did leave, although reasons are not 100%, he did. Ba left West Ham after half a season, not overly loyal, but can we expect him to play in the championship?

Basically i’m 50/50 – another wonderful contribution from myself. God you guys are lucky to have me around 🙂

Loads of players can be prima donnas or let the ££££ go to their heids. I think Carr is pretty careful to avoid troublemakers but knows that the Silver Fox is s superb people manager..as with Benny. I’d prefer Carroll did not come back and we went for a nippy CF not a target man, though ACs left foot is dynamite.

Anyone can get a bad injury..except Cattermole who is a bot

Thing with ba’s knee is that he isn’t actually anymore susceptible to getting injured than any other player, the problem is that if he does get a knee injury he’d have no chance of recovery! Id have Carroll back as I think hes actually underrated on the ground! Always gave 100% for us, could see him thriving upfront with cisse feeding off HBA, cabaye etc

toonarmydownsouth Carroll was found not guilty in that instance, the case was dropped.

Ba’s injury has nothing to do with cartlidge, its the dodgy screw thats stuck in there from a bodged operation earlier in his career that can’t be fixed, thats why its a time bomb, nobody knows when or if it will go off at all during his career.

James hows is ba getting frustrated any different to andy getting subbed off not shsking any1s hand, tell his manager to f off then storming out the stadium, andys a good player but cant believe we have supporters happy to get shot off demba, one of the BIGGEST reasons were in europe to make way for a shockingly out of form player who MAY come good back home and whos only contribution to us being in europe was kindly f off so we could have the cash and he could double his pay check
Demba plays with fire and passion andy sits on his arse looking at the ref for 90 mins

Yes that’s the same Carroll , I was there Screaming abuse and mocking him along with 50,000 others , he dived which made things much worse , anybody would utter fcuk this for the amount of abuse he got. He’s still a Geordie and that would of hurt

I do find it odd ppl would happily see ba out the door for andy, ba fired is in to europe andys only contribution was fcuking off

I don’t see this as a Ba or Carroll scenario. We need depth in the squad. We will have plenty of games next season. We don’t want below average players filling in. With Best gone we have little or no backup. We need another striker in minimum with no more out. If we lose another we need two in min.

Just a thought on Ba’s ticking time bomb in his knee,,,

The security forces around the globe can grab the sandshoe bomber before he sets off his guttie and the underpants bomber before he can detonate his knickers but Ba is flying around the world with impunity even though he has a well documented ticking time bomb in his knee.

Makes you think a bit, No?

And then I now learn that AC has a left foot made of dynamite.

Jesus wept are these folks footballers of terrorists, as from the sounds of it they could be either? 😉

    🙂 🙂 🙂
