We’re always very happy to help the Newcastle Foundation with some of the publicity for their social events coming up, and there’s a really special event coming up in the week before the Premier League season begins on 18th August when we play Tottenham at home, for our first three points of the season.
Carver and Pardew – a great partnership for Newcastle!
Here’s a chance for you to meet Alan Pardew and John Carver, and share a drink with them on Monday 13th August from 7:00 pm in the Bamburgh suite at St. James Park – and then ask them some questions – in that order.
Here is the official press release put out by the Newcastle Foundation:
An Evening With Pardew And Carver
Magpies fans can share a drink with manager Alan Pardew and first-team coach John Carver and put questions to them next month.
The Newcastle United Foundation will host ‘An evening with Alan Pardew and John Carver’ in the Bamburgh Suite at the Sports Direct Arena on Monday, 13th August from 7pm.
BBC Newcastle’s Mick Lowes will compere the event, giving supporters the chance to talk to them about the coming season with all money raised going to the club’s official charity, which works with 37,000 youngsters and families every year to encourage learning and healthy eating by using their passion for football.
Tickets are priced between £22 and £32, including food and drink, and are on sale now. There will also be a raffle and an auction on the evening, with some exciting items expected.
This is what Mick Lowes said about the event:.
“Alan and John have both been in my studio a few times in recent months, but this will be a great chance for fans to ask them questions directly,”
“The pair of them work well together both on and off the pitch, and I’m sure nobody will be disappointed with the banter and insight they’ll provide on the night. I’m looking forward to it already.”
Tickets can be bought online here.
We should have most of our transfer targets in by then – yeah right – but maybe a few whiskies and Alan or John or both will open up a bit – and then let me know who we are really going after – I’m sick of all this guessing. 😀
The event is actually two weeks come Monday, so it’s not too far away, and we should have won our remaining four pre-season friendly games by then.
But it really does seem a great night for Newcastle fans, and of course both Alan and John are great with the media, and they are both down to earth guys and tell it as they see it, and they’ve done a magnificent job on Tyneside – so far.
Comments always welcome.
