From Portugal With Love – Photos Of Newcastle Squad

Here are some photographs taken by blog reader Rolf de Bruin on Saturday, as the lads limbered up for the game on Saturday night against Braga, which we won 2-1 and with it the Guadiana Trophy – many thanks to Rolf for the photos.

Practice makes perfect – Ryan Taylor practicing free kicks on Saturday afternoon – it was worth it!

Steve Stone – looks like he’s the lifeguard on duty

Papiss Cisse, Fab  Coloccini, Demba  Ba and James Tavernier – waiting for the ball

Alan Pardew supervising training – this is how I want the free kicks taken tonight

Looks like the two Argentine brothers going for a walk

Demba Ba, James Tavernier,  Fab Coloccini and Papiss Cisse

Geordie John Carver supervising the training

Tim Krul, Romain Amalfitano, Steven Taylor, Davide Santon (back to camera) and Paul Dummett in pool

Paul Dummett, Haris Vuckic and Gael Bigirimana still in the pool

He’s going to west ham. Something like 2mil for the loan and a 17mil move overall if west ham stay up. Something a bit like that

That sounds better outsidethebox. Lol. Think this better for us. Andy caroll would have been a bit of a step back atm, but when he fails at whu after a bit he’ll end up back at toon. He does have better form playing for us. No way whu will stick around in prem for too long…. But then again thats what they said about us

AC is not going to whu. They denied the bid which probly means AC didnt wanna go there like a previous poster said. Pool will be left with little choice then to send him our way imho…or continue paying his wages themselves ofc.

Nolan,Carroll,Fat sam all share the same agent like.

Puzzled at why they would bid if they new he wasn’t intrested in going there.

I find it odd….if carroll doesnt want to go west ham could bid 100 million and they wouldn’t have him. They will hardly offer him more than his current 80g a week that he gets now, so money wont help.

The only thing I can think is that Carroll said he didn’t want west ham and only a European side (basically just us as cant see any other side in europe go for him) to try to get liverpool to accept a lower offer from us as we are the only club he would join.

But seeing as liverpool wouldn’t drop the price and we wouldn’t meet it then he might have accepted west ham as the only option.

Just my opinion, not claiming to be in the know or anything, just an idea.
