Ala Pardew – We’re Going To Use Everybody This Week

It’s another new adventure for Alan Pardew with Newcastle, as he takes the Magpies back into Europe for the first time in six seasons, and Alan is certainly looking forward to it, that’s for sure.

Alan Pardew – got to get the section right

And Newcastle could not have got off to a much better start than a win at home to a good looking Tottenham side on Saturday, after the lads came back well in the second half after being second best in the first 45 minutes.

But it’s tough for any manager when you have two important games on in just 48 hours, but that’s what’s nest up for Newcastle United as they tackle Greek side Atromitos on Thursday night in Athens in the Europa League and then play at Chelsea on Saturday afternoon, in another tough league game.

It’s not the first time Alan has taken a team into Europe as he did that with West Ham back in 2006, but they lost to Palermo 4-0 on aggregate in the two legged tie of round one of the UEFA Cup – let’s hope he does better this time around. 😀

This is what Alan said today:.

“We are really looking forward to it.” “It’s a new adventure for us. We’ve got a win against Tottenham on Saturday, so that’s going to buoy us, and I’ve got to hope that I get the selection right.”

“We need to win that game, and we’ve got to have a team that is going to win. But we’re going to use everybody – we’re going to have to, because we’ve got Chelsea two days later.”

“Our application and attitude must be spot on. It was against Tottenham and that is why we got the win.”

Newcastle have a strong squad and we think it’s stronger than last season at this time – and players like Harper, Tavernier,  Bigirimana, Anita, Vuckic, Abeid, Ryan Taylor and others can help Newcastle do well in Europe this seaosn, but the Premier League is still Newcastle number one priority.

Newcastle are slowly but surely getting abckt o being one of the best teams in Emngland again, but it’s important the lads do well in the next two games.

Howay The Lads!!

Must get the balance just right, we cannot afford to take them lightly. They will be at home and no pressure on them, would love to see some fringe players make the step up.

    @zero

I think you may be pleasently suprised if you think Chelsea will be “nasty” you talking about a team we SHOULD have beat at home last season if it wasn’t for terrible refereeing and DID beat away with relative ease? They have a couple of good new players…. So do we…..

“Reports from Holland claim that Fulham are set to win the race for FC Twente defender Douglas, who was previously attracting interest from Newcastle. The Eredivisie side are said to be keen to bring in Manchester City’s Dedryck Boyata as a replacemenet.

We’re going to have to turn our attention to Sakho, Aldereweild or Mbiwa.

Lets not underestimate the Greek side , they had a good win over Olympiacos, who we only drew with! If they are all fit I expect to see Perch , Raylor , one of Ba OR Cisse , Shola , Harper, Jonas ( because he’s powered by Duracell ), Simpson OR Santon , to partner Tavs , Bigi , Williamson, Amalfitano, and Abeid. I think they will give it a game , but I’m not anticipating a walkover! We might need to do a job in the return!

    Kets

No Ganso in your line up? lol

Sakho yes possible…..likely however… no he will want to move to a CL team. I hope im wrong since he’d be an awesome signing.

Aldereweild has stated he doesnt want to leave Ajax.

Mbiwa doesnt he just want to use us as a stepping stone.

Seriously Kets how many of these signings do you think we should make/ realistically could make. note our budget is 20million or in that region.

I realy cant see douglas going to fulham rather than us . get tiote to have a word being an ex teammate.end of the day whos the bigger better club with the best support in the country. and christ craven cottage. or SJP no comparison. Think about douglas .
We are a team on the up that will challenge the top four not mid to below mid table .

Totally agree that the squad is actually stronger this season. Numbers might have been greater last season, but individuals weren’t as good.

I think we should sign 4 more players this window:

    Douglas
    Debuchy
    Remy
    Konate

And then sign a central midfielder and a 4th choice centre back in January.

    Kets thats

    5 million euros
    8 million euros
    15 million euros
    1-2 million euro??
+ 3.795 million euros already spent
    = 33.795 million euros = £26.7 million

Dont think MA will splash that much in summer let alone adding again in January.

Think we will be lucky to see two of those players. Hopefully Remy and Debs or Pieters

@Mbiwa doesnt he just want to use us as a stepping stone.

If we can get him, it’s fine. We can still sell him IF he really does well & is gd enough to get notice from bigger clubs.
What IF after he comes he adept to the lives here & decided to stay? Who knows? Never say never but we got to get him to agree to the move first.

I’m really worried about this european game. If we rest too many players we will lose the game. Don’t forget what happened in that Cardiff friendly…when we named a decent side!
