Fabricio Coloccini has recovered from his thigh injury and makes his first appearance of the season for Newcastle United at Chelsea this afternoon.
Coloccini comes in to partner Steven Taylor at the back as expected, but Cheick Tiote has an injured knee, and Vurnon Anita comes in for his first start in the Premier League.
Alan Pardew has made 9 changes from the side that started in Athens on Thursday night, and Vurnon Anita and Papiss Cisse are the only two that start today that were in the starting eleven against Atromitos.
Shola Ameobi is still not fit and Papiss Cisse and Demba Ba continue up front, and we’ll see what Papiss can do to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge this time around.
Ben Arfa and Jonas continue on the wings, and this is a strong Newcastle side.
The Magpies will be trying to repeat what they famously did last season at Stamford Bridge when we came away 2-0 winners with two great goals from Papiss Cisse.
The Newcastle bench is very strong – Steve Harper, James Perch, Mike Williamson, Ryan Taylor, Dan Gosling, Sylvain Marveaux and Gabriel Obertan.
For Chelsea the dangerous Eden Hazard starts and David Luiz and Tim Krul are the two center-backs with John Terry being out injured.
