Are you actually a fan? I am not actually a blog bully but if you genuinely believe that then please leave the blog as you will only frustrate people with your stupidity.

HBA is the only one i can think of because while the forward line lacked any service only HBA was providing it the other 3 midfielders were sitting back.

    Hba for me.

And how about starting Marveaux in the next match?

    Move Jonas,or drop him.

Great worker etc etc but how many times does he create chances?

Ben Arfa our only threat from midfield again.

I think this is our best team at the moment. Cisse and Ba just do not complement each other.

    ——————–Krul
    Santon—Taylor—Coloccini—Jonas
    ————–Tiote—–Anita
    Ben arfa——-Cabaye———Marveaux
    —————–Cisse/Ba

No room to moan lads. NUFC where out bloody done at the price of 82 million pounds worth of players and that was Torres and Hazard. Apart from that we were quite good. Jonas played his part as ever, Collo was a rock as was S.Taylor. Santon was ok also. HBA was OUTSTANDING and was unfortunate to be on the losing team. Anita, a mistake for the penalty and one or two stray touches but not to bad considering the team we where playing. Cisse was poor today but he will get back to his usual self i am sure. Ba had two great opportunities but blew them which was unfortunate. We where not outplayed at all, and for the money Chelsea have spent, we made a good game of it. VERY VERY positive after today regardless of the result. I do feel Ashley need to invest a little more though because 3 million net spent this summer up to now is pretty damn poor. We have a great first team but we need a few players in for more strength in depth.

Don’t worry – I’m fairly sure he’ll win gold and silver.

The result wasn’t really an issue for me – it was the manor of defeat. I trust Pardew has his reasons for playing the formation he does, but when our team is trying to implement a short passing game it just cannot work. At least that’s how it looks from where I’m sitting.

Newcastle fans who were there – You’re absolutely amazing, well done. Always do the club proud.

    Krul-solid
    Simpson-solid
    colo-solid
    taylor-solid
santon-liabilty clearly a very average player and struggles alot of the time new maldini yeah right jose.
jonas-works hard but poor performance from his standards.
cabaye-if we had to sell one of our top players it would be him he is a quailty player however if i had a choice between tiote krul and him to be sold it would defo be him his corners today were pitiful for a so called top midfielder.
anita-said before the game he hasnt impressed me and after todays showing i was again unimpressed he gave away the penalty which was a ridicilous choice for to lash out inside the area and his touch aint so good atall and he is really small and lacks the gravity of players like hazard and ben-arfa
ben-arfa -was very good again today but was starved of service was our best player by mile today
ba-should of scored but was solid enough today
cisse-seems to struggle with easy chances hope he doesnt turn out to be another martins who justs like the spectacular however i think cisse will come good again this season i hope so anyways i got him as top goalscorer and so far no goals just great!!!

overall we need to get rid of

    simpson-replaced by debuchy
we need to get rid of santon-put perchy there
get rid of anita—bring in fellani
get rid of obertan he is the worse of them all complete and outer rubbish he has pace to burn and all he does is pass it back instead of going forward

ben-arfa seriously needs to teach him some lessons

we also need a back up striker kevin doyle from wolves would be a decent back up goalpoacher and would provide hard work and much needed pace

    The Good:

Anita played well, even though he gave away the penalty. I’d like to see a 100m with him, obertan and simpson.

Jonas can fill in as a first class LB

Marveaux looks like he can start at LM, if called upon.

    The Bad:

Cabaye’s unfit. Has never been a top class holding midfielder , much better furthur up the pitch. His tackling is excellent, his awareness of coverage isnt.

Santon has the same problem as Cabaye.

    Ba/Cisse partnership continues to disappoint.

Gutierrez spends more time on the ground than on his feet. If he weren’t such a nice guy or a Newcastle player, I’d hate him.

Ben Arfa is the only player creating chances consistently. Cabaye is desperately needed to player higher up the pitch.

    THERES NOTHING WRONG WITH 4-4-2

jeeeeeez.. six things to take into account:

    1. they won the champions league
    2. they have a better squad
    3. they have spent a LOT of money and have arguably the player of the season so far in hazard
    4. they were at home.
    5. we had players not at 100%
    6. no tiote

sometimes you just have to accept being second best. no magical formation is going to make us win every game. our 4-4-2 is flexible anyway and it suits us and was responsible for the majority of our big wins last season against man u liverpool and chelsea.

There have been some absolutely ridiculous comments over the last few hours, some people need to get a grip! We have come up against a fantasic team who are European champions and have spent the thick end of £100m this summer at their own ground! We are not world beaters and people need to realise that! We have a great squad and maybe one or two more will help but people need to realise that we can’t always compete and maybe today wasn’t our day!

2nd half was better. Is it just me or does anyone else feel like our players dot look fit!?

Cisse hasn’t looked right so far.
Cabaye clearly isn’t fit blowing out his arse early on.
Anita was average, tidy simple pass. But he made some simple mistakes I’ll put it down to nerves. BUT people need to lay off labels and stating he is world class as right now he isn’t living up to that reputation.

Santon was impressive today! As was Ben Arfa!

    Thai – one mistake?

The lad only passes the ball 8 yards, which is fine, but it was always to a Chelsea player, which is not so good!

Also is TINY! No player in this league is going to think twice about leahering

    santon was impressed today?

    he was extremly poor today

put perch over him all day long perch adds energy and pace santon got outpaced today and isnt very good at defending atall

its always the other side we complain with simpson

simpson is an average defender but out of the 2 full backs today i think he was the best solid enough made no mistakes santon on the other hand was just piss poor

if he is that good of a player why last season did pardew sub him nearly all the time at half time

    and got subbed today to

Pointed out once again that our creative edge is almost solely on Ben Arfa. Could have really done with Mirallas on the left to compliment. Like to see more of Marveaux.

Need Debuchy ….Simmo so weak going forward.

I’m hoping we sign a striker/winger and Debuchy.

    Krul
    Debuchy. Taylor. Coloccini. Santon
    Tiote. Anita.
    Cabaye.
    Ben Arfa. ??????
    Ba

Cant believe people slating Santon. He was excellent today! We need a decent right back.

    Cabaye
    Tiote
    Cisse all need fitness

Ba was unfortunate, think Anita needs time. Arfa needs to work harder for those who say he was faultless he was standing with his hands on his hips near the halfway line on 2nd goal replay! OK it wouldn’t have made a difference but he should be working back, no standing still!

It’s just a formation that does not work, and players are still getting their sharpness back..

    our defense IMO should be:

    ——————–Krul—————-

    -Santon–Colo—Saylor—Jonas

    or Raylor(Perch)–Colo–Sayl–Santon

    midfield:

    ———————Tiote——————-

    ———–Cabaye——Marveaux——-
    —————————————————
    or
    — ———Tiote——–Jonas

    ——————Cabaye———-

    Forwards:

    ——Ben Arfa—-Cisse——-Ba

    or
    ———-Benny—-Ba—–Marv——–

We will never win nowt because the club is set up to make a big profit for the owner. The policy is to buy young and cheap and then develop and sell for big money. How does that equate to winning anything? Selling your better players for a big profit. This owner is worth 2 billion (thats two thousand million) and has spent 3 million this summer when we were 5th. We are going backwards. No talk of Hazard needing a season.

Also out of the 2 strikers right now I would be having Ba all day long! Cisse looks dejected, as he did in Spurs game! I feel like Ba is playing upfront alone!

Santon was good today, let’s put it this way Simpson was sacrificed not Santon, which would normally be the case. He’s no Maldini but hes playing well considering he is also out position! He’s right footed playing left back it shows when he needs to cross the ball!

Don’t think we can play both cisse and ba in that formation away from home.
I have no real confidence in our full backs defending.
On a plus arfa was brilliant and once he works out when to turn it on and when to play safe he will be (IMO) like a young Beardsley .
I hope we make a couple of signings, debuchy, Douglas or whoever the boys in charge believe will strengthen us.
We will improve but we need to get cisse off the mark.
