Newcastle Supporter Begins 7 Marathons In 7 Days Next Sunday

As we reported a few weeks ago, life-long Newcastle supporter Josh Bone will be running seven marathons in seven days in early September to raise money for charity.

Josh Bone – after finishing London marathon last year

Josh Bone will attempt to run 7 marathons in 7 days, in honor of his father Ron, who died of cancer last year at the age of 60.

Josh is a 21 year-old lifelong Newcastle fan, and he will be running from London to Paris, and will be raising funds to support two major Cancer Charities, Cancer Research UK and Dorothy House Hospice, and he hopes to raise at least £10K.

Last year, Josh ran the Brighton and London Marathons just one week apart, and only a few months after his father’s death.

He  is now winding down his training as he faces the tough challenge from Trafalgar Square in London, to the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, and it starts next Sunday, 2nd September through Saturday, 8th September.

Josh has been putting in 60 mile weeks in training, and he will be having a blog where you can check up on how he is doing as he runs a marathon a day.

Josh has also set up a text to give page for those wanting to donate faster and without having to fill in all their details, and this can be done by texting LTOP90 and the amount to 70070, and those donations go to Cancer Research UK.

You can also support Josh and the charities he is supporting by donating  here.

Please help support Josh if you possibly can,  in his brave quest in honor of his father.

    All the best,

If we are looking for a striker we cd do a lot worse than DE JONG (Not that one, his brother)

Anyone watching the arsenal stole build up to the game now?

Just showed a clip of Cazorla Playing in the free role behind the strikers, picking out passes, sliding people in and I really think this is where cabaye should be further up the pitch.

If cabaye was used further up the pitch like Cazorla he would definitely be nor effective. I know people want ben Arfa there but I think he played well in the first half and he will get forward when we have the ball and get involved anyway. Thoughts?

Another note on that I think we rely too heavily on wonder goals having cabaye further up the pitch in that free role would hopefully mean we would get more tap ins/ 1 on 1?s

Indian Magpie you might as well have said 1st you cringer.

    Repost –

Gateshead – not specifically you mate but I recall someone posting a prematch from a chelsea blog, they said Jonas was the last name you think of but should be first on the teamsheet. We Mags seem to be those forgetful types judging by the team lineups that keep getting posted without him. We would not have been talking about top 5 last year if not for him.

I agree Marveaux needs to come in, but he has been a very long time out to be given important starts just yet.

I think cabaye and Ben arfa are out two most creative players.

We need to find a way to get them involved more up the pitch where they can influence the game.

For me, to evolve, we don’t really need a lot more players, we just need to be more attacking and dominant in games.

We were too defensive in our first 3 games, I want to see us get at teams like Chelsea, arsenal, spurs and the two Manchester sides.

We are good enough to do it, just need to let the shackles off.
