Newcastle United’s brand new third strip has gone on sale this morning, and the strip will be worn for the first time tonight in the second leg tie against Atromitos. It’s quite a bright strip – and that’s an understatement.
You would think they were being executed at dawn
They mustn’t like the strip
It seems like Ryan Taylor, Davide Santon and Demba Ba don’t much like the strip – if their expressions are anything to go by. 😀
I’ve heard about bright luminescent strips but this is ridiculous.
The new third strip will be available in Club Stores and from shop.nufc.co.uk from 9 am today.
Davide Santon in new strip – there’s no smiling in this strip baby
It seems this is the gear Newcastle will be wearing mainly in Europe this season, so let’s hope we see a lot of the lads playing in lime green  starting tonight against Atromitos.
Newcastle need a 0-0 draw or a win to advance to the group stages of the Europa League, and hopefully we can win tonight, and be in the hat for tomorrow’s draw in Monaco’s Grimaldi Forum.
Newcastle will be drawn in a group of four and will play six games, two against each of the other sides, before the end of the year.
Hopefully.

Comment #1@ jimmymagpie – repost from prevous thread
I would like to ask you a quick question – who do you know on the medical team – is it one of the docs/physio/nurse etc?
Just curious

Comment #2I can’t see though why AC would want to return as he’d be 3rd choice here just like at Liverfool. I suppose he’d get Europa starts but would a supposed top striker want that?

We are hearing links that Brighton are making an audacious move for Shola Ameobi. More on this to follow… #BHAFC #NUFC #SEAGULLS

Comment #7Seriously, this is NUFC’s crunch match. If Pardew doesn’t get a convincing win don’t expect Ashley to invest further in this team. Being honest, Pards flopped at the end of last season when face with crunch games for 4th place. Ashley can see that, and is well aware that for the last 40 odd years come the big occasions NUFC has crumbled (sorry, it’s painful but true). Unless this team can have a real steel to it don’t expect any favours from the big Boss.

Comment #9People who say we need to invest in general I believe aren’t saying we won’t finish 5th again…
Yeh it seems less likely now others have strengthened but this group of players are brilliant and I think with a bit of luck they could do that.
What people are saying is if we did invest an extra 12 (15 in total) which is nothing for a club our size! Imagine where we could be, we would put ourselves in a very strong position to grab that 4th spot up for grabs.
I’m spending 15 mill and possibly getting that 4tg spot we could make 25 mill from champions league! This is what people are saying and 15 mill won’t harm us if we don’t make it.
I personally think its criminal to not take this opportunity to bridge the gap but what do I know…

Are you on glue mate,Pardew flopped ,don’t you think it was a case of coming up against a 300M + team buoyed by the return of Tevez and the slip up of Man U desperate for a title and against a resurgent Everton after fourth place had probably already slipped, shake ya heed pal.

Comment #12Can some one please tell me how his reception is gonna be next time he comes to St James’ Park IF he’s still a Liverpool player? Last time he was booed but would it be wise to boo him next time if he’s gonna come back to Newcastle in a years time..

Comment #13Window isn’t shut yet, but yet again NUFC have had, well a pitiful transfer window… we have a decent squad, but not one that is going to elevate us from the fifth spot we achieved…if i was Cabaye, Tiote, Cisse, Ba, Ben Arfa and even Anita…i would be pretty ticked off to be honest…the fact we didn’t put in enough cash for Debuchy, and basically under-valuing him, is shambolic…if we could of done a deal there, it would literally have kept Cabaye here for the remainder of his contract and beyond…now we can count our lucky stars if he isn’t sold this window, if not this one or January, Cabaye will be out next season… among others

Comment #16Ibiza – Mind you i will be seriously pissed if Cabaye moves to Arsenal last minute, maybe thats why we havent signed Debuchy, as his mate is going to leave anyway, 🙂
Maybe we didnt sign Pieters as well because Krul is going to move to spurs 🙂
Maybe we need to just enjoy tonights game get through and then start again on saturday with the best squad we have had since Keegans first wonderful reign.
Reality Check.

Comment #18OH MY GOD! Seriously SERIOUSLY how would signing debuchy have kepy Cabaye at this club, im not picking on you personally but so many cretins have spurted the same non-sensical jargon it actually pains me.
Did he or did he not leave Lille and therefore Debuchy behind to join us? Why wouldnt he do it again? They are not star crossed lovers. Jeez.
(please note that i do not mean to be offensive, nor do i think Cabaye will leave)

Comment #25This is my first comment this summer after reading most of the ramblings about lack of signings etc. here’s my take on it.
In the past we have conspired to fail in europe even when it looked unlikely. Pardews comments about no more signings cover him IF we don’t make it through tonight. If we get through we will need more in our squad and I expect pardew will be active then tomorrow. If by any chance we lose tonight he can say we did say we weren’t getting anymore in.

And yes you can buy tickets from the ground. If you want to be sure you can always buy on the clubs official site and collect them at the ground or phone the ticket office.

Comment #31Does anyone have the feeling tomorrow is xmas and they have not bought any presents or they haven’t a clue what presents they will receive?
All I can say is I am happy with our progress since relegation and trust the board to maintain our progress. In my opinion winning tonight is far more important then signing anyone. But winning tonight may mean we do sign someone.
It has probably been said before. If ssn are at sjp tomorrow morning expect comings or goings guaranteed!!

Comment #36Bollance, with respect, people like you areb living in the recent past. My opinion is that we are in the process of stalling, but if we improve on 5th and get a real run in the cups, I’ll take it back. We had a chance to invest ….thus far we havent really bothered. Gosh, those agents must be costing lots. Mind you, other clubs who didnt get 35 mill can seem to afford it…
